Politics › Peter Obi Begs Wike: We Know You Are In Charge by Throwback(op): 2:47pm On May 14, 2024 |
Let us not forget when they begged for votes so that the same person they hailed as Wicked Wike, can deliver Rivers votes for them in his typical fashion. If Wike could do it for PDP in 2015 and 2019, why is it only a crime when he did it again in 2023 for APC? Peter Obi was so desperate to fulfil is ambition to become President, even to the point that he was ready to rubbish the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party. It was only about his own ambition. The rest can go to hell. “I will talk to my people and we will negotiate. If we leave the state for him (referring to Wike), he will leave the federal for us. We will negotiate it. We know you’re in charge,” Obi said...
“We will not quarrel with you. Anybody who quarrels with you doesn’t know what he is doing. I will not try it. I’m begging. Please give us this one and take the other one. We will leave for you. I will accommodate them in the other one...
“Remember this agreement today. I’m kneeling down and begging. Take this one, give me this one. I assure you the one I will take, I will use it to ensure that Rivers state becomes greater and better,” he added. https://www.thecable.ng/im-kneeling-and-begging-obi-asks-wike-to-support-lp-for-presidency/amp/Very desperate to the point of kneeling and begging for power, yet he got nothing.

SpartaOfLagos: Your plan to kill rivers people so you could steal their votes and give to APC will fail. But you would not mind the same killing to secure votes by Wike, like how Peter Obi was begging him knowing how he did it for PDP in 2015 and 2019? Did Obi not even promise to surrender LP gubernatorial candidacy, just to get Wike to provide him the votes of Rivers?

DMerciful: Tinubu never got more than 3million votes. The votes were inflated by INEC and ratified by the compromised judiciary.
Its the lack of legitimacy that affecting his performance. Tinubu will remain the worst illegitimate president Nigeria ever had No you are even wrong, Tinubu only got the votes of his wife and son. Every other Nigerian voted for the gbajue mandate thief that did not succeed, even with his tears.

OneCandleAway: The Ghana government has found a way to tap into the tourism potential of the African Americans who want to reconnect with their African roots. Something your Nigerian government doesn't have the foresight to do. Insecurity won't even allow it. You think Ghana will allow some fulanis to cause mayhem unchecked.
Until you travel to see how well organised some smaller African countries are, you'll keep living in delusion of Giant of Africa. I totally agree with this. How many foreigners have come to visit Badagry or any of the other slave exit points from Nigeria? But they are always in Ghana to visit all these slavery related tourist destinations. Even I have visited such places in Ghana, but haven't visited any in my own country. We do not understand the tourism potentials. |

Remind us the relevance of Rivers State votes to Tinubu's presidential victory at almost 2million votes ahead of his closest opponent?
Also remind us how River's state minimum of 25% votes would have prevented Tinubu's Presidency when he already had that minimum 25% in 28 other states to beat the 24 state requirement?
Your concern should be how Atiku who was stuck at 25% votes requirement in 19states, or Obi who managed 25% votes in a paltry 16states, will make up for their shortcoming if they choose to challenge their political senior again?
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is not their mate.
Tinubu is already where Atiku and Obi have been doing political prostitution and ticket hunting just to attain.
Guess what?
Tinubu achieved it in his very 1st attempt and did not cry over a failed political ambition.

Lizzysamuel: This is politics 101. The camp of the Nigeria political philistines will be unsettled. 27 has started, renewed hope is buried. What's the next sluggish slogan of lies? Your mouth is smelling of propaganda. Political Philistines? Obi and his supporters have bigotry in their blood. They followed Jonathan and said the uncircumcised Philistine called Buhari will never rule Nigeria and Northern Muslims will never rule Nigeria again, but they failed. They used religious warfare politics to engage Tinubu, but he gave them a bloody nose, so they failed again. Now you have started on the same religious bigotry? Well, your arrogance will be humbled like Peter Obi who boasted he will not be found campaigning in Kano or Katsina or wherever in the North that Nasir el Rufai comes from. Now Obi is walking the footsteps of Bola Tinubu to build alliances in the North, the same one for which Tinubu was termed by your ilk as a unity beggar and desperate politician. Peter Obi is now crawling all over the North, even to the point where his fellow Igbos are rejoicing. Even when Peter Obi visits a Northern beggar, Igbos rejoice more than when same Peter Obi visits the Obi of Onitsha. Humility, a very kind teacher that scatters the proud hearted. |

How many people have died on the deathtrap of an express road, children don't even have common restrooms in schools, govt workers don't receive pay and he wants to insult the intelligence of the people with empty talks of uncompleted projects. He should take notes from his counterpart in Enugu and all he has done. He has made visible strides for the people but for Obi his pocketbook comes first. When private offers were made to assist in developing infrastucture he refused because it would make him look bad. He has the biggest market in west africa in onitsha and not even 1% of its potential has been reached. The tax revenue from onitsha alone could fund projects in the state. You have a cash cow in a dormant port which could benefit not only anambra but the whole south and east region and decongest the traffic in lagos. These are just the obvious failures. He should be punished for his enormous disappointing tenure. Did you later support and vote for same Peter Obi to become Nigerian President? |

It was so appalling i had to take pictures, to document the anomaly. The only acceptable area was the G.R.A, every where else seemed joined together paper gum; a city falling apart. Is it just that? Putinofrussia: That is the problem. FG will proclaim a state of emergency in which case Gov Fubara will be helpless. It will last until the conflict is deemed to be over. Military will take over the state and dem own na obey before complain. Military has never taken over any state because a state of emergency is declared by the federal government. That Obasanjo chose to use some RETIRED military personnel to serve as interim Governors, did not mean military took over any function of governance. Instead, the appointed person took over, not any military. A retired military personnel is already a civilian, hence can function in a civil role just like Obasanjo and Buhari did. |

For the ignorant, currency and economy are not the same.
When Naira was equal to the Pound Sterling and above the US Dollar, it did not mean our economy was any miles close to that of USA or Britain.
Same reason why the British economy is no where close to the US, despite that the Pound Sterling is above the dollar.
If Nigeria decides to remove 4 zeros like how Ghana did before 2008, our currency will be higher than the dollars, yet our economy won't be any better for it, besides eliminating the inferiority complex that ties to the exchange rate for those who are ignorant. |
