So, who is deceiving who now? When they know they are not ready why did they shut down Lagos economy for a program they know is not yet ready. |
I got up today to collect my PVC but disappointedly, I met nobody at my polling unit. I drove round my area to observe, I did not see anywhere where it is being distributed. Please what is the situation in your area? (Oshodi) |
I have observed carefully that all the decampees from PDP to APC are all Northerners and Muslims apart from Amaechi who decamped bc of personal problem with Patience Jonathan while those moving away from APC to PDP and other parties are mostly Christians and southerners. What is the problem? Is is all about religious agenda or selfishness. Please those of us that know better, kindly educate us with facts. |
VOICEOFTHEMASES:So you want Okorocha and Amaechi to continue to have the same problem GEJ Is currently facing? The reasons for all these crisis is because the North were not allowed to finish Yar Adua tenure. Any president of other tribe would be considered haram that is why the two northern parties (CPC & ANPC) merged with Tinubu party). Have you not also observed that all decampees from PDP to APC are all Northerners and Muslims apart from Amaechi who decamped bc of personal problem with Patience Jonathan. |
Ogun State is growing fast, businesses are springing up everyday and many foreign and indigenous companies are moving their plants and factories to ogun State especially to Obafemi Owode Local Govenment as Lagos is getting crowded. Grace Park & Gardens is planned and established to cater for both the rich, middle class and the poor and give them opportunity to own plots of land and eventually become landlord(s) and the Estate is located very close to the Nestle Factory at Interchange Ogun State and within the neighborhood of other Chinese companies and Estates. Today, most of the factories workers come from Lagos to work, imagine you have a house around the place you can rent out or hotel where people can lodge. I see another Agbara springing up soon in Mowe axis. The news has it that Toyota and about 4 other automobile companies are bringing their plants/factories to Obafemi Owode Local Government - (Gov. Ibikunle Amosun). The wise sees opportunity for the future and invest in it. The land where the estate is located is free from government acquisition, fenced and no Omo-Onile Wahala and you are sure of quick return on your investment and more importantly, you can pay by instalment. Outright price per plot is N675k while instalment price per plot is 750k with N50k initial deposit. Visit www.barifecrealtieslimited.com FAQ section for more information.

Since then, I speak with facts not hearsay or rumours. |

Obiagelli:Be real sister, this is Nigeria of 2014 not 1993. There was a time we were using Nokia 3310 but iPhone 6, is the latest. Nigerians are more informed. |
barcanista:How I wish Seun can add dislike button to this forum, I would have generously give you 100k of this for this your comment. Nigeria can only be great if we all team up to build it. Other countries that are great today started like this and we are getting closer to it. Nigeria will soon have her own 'visa lottery'. I see tomorrow. |
Other countries are protecting their citizens but it is only in Naija South African, Chinese, Indian etc will bleed the consumers dry and our leaders will only be satisfied with hampers and fat envelopes to permit them to continue. Even here, is government too not killing us with charges? NYSC, Navy, Custom, FRSC etc come to mind. Our problem is selfishness, self centerdness and anything you can add 'self' to. |
The House of Representatives moved on Tuesday to contain the “arbitrary” subscription rates charged by Multichoice for its Digital Satellite Television services in the country. The House observed that high pricing by Dstv had made access to its “premium” programming difficult for the majority of Nigerians. It also noted that lack of competition in the digital satellite broadcast industry had encouraged a monopoly giving firms such as Multichoice the “undue advantage” of blocking the efforts of other firms to enter the market and crash prices. Lawmakers particularly opposed a “rigid” subscription policy that permanently billed subscribers “whether they are at home viewing programmes or not.” A bill to stop such stranglehold on the industry passed second reading at the House on Tuesday. The bill, which was sponsored by a member from Adamawa State, Mrs. Aisha Dahiru-Modibbo, sought to amend the National Broadcasting Commission Act to guarantee openness and competition in the industry. The long title of the bill reads, “A Bill for an Act to Amend the National Broadcasting Commission Act to Provide for Competition in Nigeria, to Promote Efficiency and Expand Opportunities for Participation of Nigerians in World Markets, while at the same time recognising the Role of Foreign Competition in Nigeria and for other Matters Related thereto.” Leading the debate on the bill, Dahiru-Modibbo said while Nigeria was not against foreign participation in the local economy but such involvement should not be to the detriment of Nigerians. She noted that there were indigenous firms which could also render premium satellite broadcast programming to Nigerians, but complained that “deliberate actions” by monopolies stifled the firms. “In every country, measures are taken to protect the people. “What is happening to us in Nigeria does not happen elsewhere on the continent. “It is high time our regulatory body, the NBC was positioned to protect Nigerians from this arbitrary actions,” she stated. The House Deputy Leader, Mr. Leo Ogor, wondered why Nigeria, one of the countries with the largest subscriber base of Dstv services, hardly received the kind of “subscriber-friendly offers” that were offered to the citizens of other African countries. “You have a situation in the telecommunications industry, for example, where you are billed as you go or use your mobile phones. “You pay for what you use. We should be having pay as you view or watch as well. “Why should Nigerians continue to pay for Dstv services whether they are at home using the service or not?” Ogor asked. He cited Kenya as one of the countries that had taken measures to contain the excesses of Dstv and other foreign digital satellite TV service providers. Seasoned broadcaster and Chairman, House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, lent her voice to the debate, supporting a call for more subscriber-friendly pricing in Nigeria. http://www.punchng.com/news/reps-move-to-end-dstv-monopoly/ |

ayukdaboss:I know you know that if GEJ is a dictator like Buhari was, he would have done better. Buhari did not have any House or Senate to submit budget or proposal to as it is under democratic government, don't be fooled, it can't be as it was in military kakhi. |

Nigeria leaders should be strong and stop been afraid of themselves, them American will learn a lot from us. |

The President is the president of the whole country and Lagos is part of it. Any success or failure on any part is praised or blamed on him. The same goes to any part of the state as it affects its local councils. Afterall despite the fact that we have sitting governors in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe, yet we blame the President for the terrorists activities in those states and call him clueless, jona.daft, etc, then why should we not praise him for the success in Lagos? When Lagos is transformed by the commissioners, Lasma, Lawma, Kai, etc, who do we praise? Fashola off course while the true heroes may be his foot soldiers. We also blame him for the agberos as if he created them and bad roads in our local government because he is the Governor of the state. So whatever the President says about Ebola, he speaks for the country and the "we" he used, includes, Lagos, Fashola, doctors, journalists, police, and you. Fashola and his likes should stop being intimidated and paranoid. We all defeated Ebola together. |
PointB: My argument is built on the lump. Every other features seems to match, but the lump. And it has nothing to do with the camera angle. The lumps are not right. The dead Shekua even appears to have a bigger lump, even as it is tilted to the right!I see your point sir but you will realise also that in picture A, he is lying down while in picture A, he is standing. You don't know how big his lump is, probably, is big and flats or tilt like brea.st while lying down or sleeping and stands when standing. |
Most of the names has "Chukwu" or Chi" before or after. |

bonaventure73: I called their customer care... U can call them to confirmCustomer care ke? Those people wey no sabi anything. At times customers break news of what is happening in their network/office to them. |
obailala: Just like I said earlier on this thread, choosing not to believe a story or not to report an ongoing atrocity does not automatically make the atrocity to stop... Also I do not see how informing people of an atrocity equates to being sympathetic with the perpetrators. Or are you saying the reports of BH taking over those cities is false?... If that is the case how come the military comes back the next day and tells us the cities have been re-captured?.. Do you have relatives or friends living in those troubled areas?... Do you have friends or relatives in the military?.. If you hear first hand stories of the atrocities going on presently in the northeast, you would weep and you wouldn't be here on Nairaland saying rubbish because you probably think this is politics of APC vs GEJ. We get to hear less than 10% of the real stories on the news and you suggest it should remain so?What he is saying is that reports should be balanced and not one sided. Why reporting only when the Nigerian Army are down but turn blind eyes when they are up. Let me quote you in reverse, "imagine nobody tells us about the army's victories, we would have thought all was not well". |
Guykhena: This got to be the most annoying,,Any lawyer that breaks the law is not different from a pastor that sleeps with his church members. They both know that what they are doing is wrong. I don't tell police who I am until they ask or discover it themselves because I know they naturally "beef" and hate lawyers |
egift: The more details details you find out Jonathan has, the more you agree he deserves all the blame for this failure:You forgot to add that: He was the one that opened the school when Waec advised otherwise. He was the one leaking the military plans to the terrorists. He was the one that asked the children of the Principal and other teachers' children not to sleep in the school the day BH visited. He was the President when Yerima established Sharia Islamic code in Zamfara. He was the senator that was giving Military false information about Boko Haram movements. He was the person that threatened to report Ihejirika to ICJ for killing their children by reducing muslims population. Unfortunately, he was the person that promised to make this country ungovernable. You will understand what it means to lead if you have ever been a leader before, Fashola was speaking from a privileged position, take him serious. |
Gombs:Even the devil had a better resumé, Isaiah 14:12, he saw God |
But sincerely, what has he said? He did not address any of the allegations but rather preached to praise himself. |
nagoma: You started so well. Encouraging the military and wanting to see the end of terror in our country. But predictably after only 2 posts you changed gear to the stereotypic ethnocentric mentality - of the blame game.the truth is; A slow and provincial president allowed or even helped the terrorists to grow from strength to strength. Parts of his country now have a different flag, they are not Nigeria. But sir, you are here when many respectable leaders of the North (Sultan, Buhari, El Rufai, ACF, North East Leaders etc) pleaded with the president not to use force, that they are their children and will dialogue with them. You will remember also that many politicians equate them with Niger Delta militants and requested amnesty for them. You will also recall how they threatened to report Ihejirika to ICJ for killing their children and reduced the population of Muslims. You will also remember Nyako's memo accusing Jonathan even when he had not declared full war against BH. Now we know that they were using all those pleas to buy time to equip these beasts to unleash more horrors. Better late than never... |
hardbody: The south had theirs between 1966 and 1970. It may be the turn of the west next. Indeed what goes round comes around if only to bite you.Is that your prayers? So that you can continue to type R.I.P for the victims? Olorun o ni fun e se (the Lord will not answer that). We should all pray for peace in every part of our land. Eni ti sango ba t'oju e wole, ko ni ba won bu obakoso. If you hv witnessed war, you will not pray for war. |
It shall get better soon |
