It is 9:00, still no show in my area. |
It 8:17 at Oshodi Polling Unit 24/18/02/0** No inec official on sight. Ready list pasted. Report status in your area please. |
sojjy:My brother, all the parties are riggers. They all rig, we know it. For example, a guy in Lagos was sponsored to Osun state during the last election by APC for about 4 days or so with other persons from all the wards in Lagos. I will not disclose all the privileged information he shared with me. Tinubu beating the drum of war is not a saint either. My advice is that, like I hv always done in Lagos, register, get accredited on time on election day, cast your vote, wait for counting and post the result in social media. Take videos, pictures, voice etc with your camera phone or buy pen or wristwatch spy camera. You will agree with me that most us get the hints of who the winner will be from true results posted on social media before inec declares the winner. When APC lost in Ekiti, it claimed it was rigged when it was obvious that Fayemi lost by the result independently posted here. When Edo election was going on Adams claimed the election was rigged and threatened to reject the outcome but when he was declared the winner, it is now the will of the people. The same in Ondo, Anambra, Imo and all other places where APC won. You know what? PDP congratulated the winner except in Osun, and there was no violence from PDP in all these states except the states where APC lost. Violence is no no, APC should get closer to the people and campaign, the elite that voted for APC in online opinions polls that they are relying on don't vote on election day, they watch TV to monitor the election, read papers and see election day as a rest day. |
Very soon, somebody will say they are sponsored to protest by the opposition. |
When Buhari made this kind of statement after and before last election and there was violence in the North when he lost, he denied inciting anybody forgetting that when you talk to your people in vernacular, they understand you better. Now Tinubu has spoken and some of you are cheering him, tomorrow if there is crisis in Yoruba land after the election, some will deny that Tinubu never made any inciting words. To me these statement is the most irresponsible statement from a leader. I am an Ijebu man, hv lived in this Naija for over 4 decades and I know that "Eni ti Sango ba t'oju e wo'le, ko ni ba won bu obakoso. Ti Tinubu ba mo de, ko ma gbagbe pe awon kan moo tu. (if you hv ever witnessed violence, you will never pray for one. If Tinubu know how to tie, he should not forget that some know how to untied). |
I don't believe it bc even in Nigeria here, you don't bury pregnant women with foetus. So how come the hospital did not evacuate the baby before burial or was it that her pregnancy was not showing? |

tbaba1234:I will comment further only if you are a lawyer and have been practising law for over ten years, if not, get a lawyer in your area to explain the meaning of struck out, dismissed, discharged, acquittal to you because I don't need to give free legal advice to client that seems to know too much. |
The Prosecutor will immediately rearrest Oguche and re-arraign him on more charges. Probably, the government wanted the matter struck out so as to re-charge/arraign him on more and well investigated charges. That the matter was struck out does not mean that he is totally free bc it is not an acquittal or dismissal or a discharge. Struck-out is just a technical word to the prosecutor by the court that "Come back when you are ready to prosecute him". |
I guess, the plan is to get it struck out and refile with more detailed charges after concluding the investigations. |
jamace:I know Obasanjo hidden problem, he wants to remain the longest serving president in Nigeria And does not want Jonathan to break his records if he adds another four years. Baba is smart. |
Why are we deceiving ourselves? APC is heating up everything, before Edo Election they said they have uncovered PDP's plan to rig election, even on the election day, Oshiomole promised to reject the results but as soon as he was declared winner, he went mute. The same thing in Osun, but when they lost in Ekiti, stomach infrastructure disappearing ink surfaced but nobody hear anything when they won Osun election conducted by the same PDP. APC definition of rigging is when they lost an election but when they win, it is free and fair and democracy in action. I was in support of APC but the moment I understand their tantrums, I changed, I can't be used by any selfish Nigerian. I even deleted many of them from my twitter account, when I can't tolerate their propaganda. My vision is to support the government when they do well and criticise them when they fail, whether APC or PDP. |
Omooba77:He does not care, after all, he has served his eight years, so Nigeria can scatter, he has made enough money. |
The Supreme Court has ordered that the Taraba State acting governor be removed and the deputy governor, Abubakar Danladi to be sworn-in. Danladi was impeached by the Taraba State House of Assembly in September 2012 for gross misconduct and engaging in private businesses. After his impeachment, he approached the court to challenge the ruling of the Appeal Court which upheld the ruling of the Federal High Court in Taraba that he was duly and constitutionally impeached. In a unanimous judgment, the Supreme Court held that the impeachment panel set up by the House of Assembly to investigate the allegations against Danladi violated his rights to fair hearing. The impeachment panel was said to have gone ahead with its proceedings without hearing Danladi and recommended his impeachment, while the panel disregarded his court papers which he served on it to challenge its composition. However, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta who delivered the lead judgment on Friday, held that there seemed to be a conspiracy between both the Taraba State High Court and the “kangaroo” impeachment panel to frustrate the appellant. He said the judgments of both the Court of Appeal and the Taraba State High Court, had dismissed Danaladi’s suit, noting that the two lower courts ought to have resolved the issue of fair hearing in favour of Danladi. Mr. Danladi was impeached about a month before the governor of the state, Dambaba Suntai, was involved in an air accident. Mr.Garba Umar, who was appointed to replace Danladi, was later elevated as the acting governor, following Suntai’s ill health that resulted from the crash. Channels News |
Pesuzok:But you will recall Tambuwal did not give this as his reason for defection. Read his statement again. |
berem:He is part of this defection problem. If he had declared the seats of the honorable members that earlier defected vacant as enshrined in the constitution, he would have saved Nigeria this shameful acts. But he refused to do the needful because he was selfishly preparing ground for his defection. 68. (1) A member of the Senate or of the House of Representatives shall vacate his seat in the House of which he is a member if - g) being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected; It is only in this country we hide under the rules of law or ask the court to interpret an act we know is constitutionally wrong but because our justice system is wrong and slow, we expect an aggrieved party to go to court that will never end. The constitution says resign, when you decamped, what part of the section is not clear that needs court's interpretation. Secondly, though the police was wrong to have blocked the gate but the honourable members do not have any rights to take laws into their hands by pushing the police away, became unruly, jumped gates etc. These can only be done by rogues. I was ashamed to see our reps descend so low. Just imagine what could have happened if it were campus students that pushed away the police screening point, scaled fence, became unruly, you would have condemned them and police would have shot some of them for aggravated aggression. We should all support decency and our democracy to grow. |
NgeneUkwenu:noun (plural assaults) A violent onset or attack with physical means, as blows, weapons, etc.; an onslaught; the rush or charge of an attacking force; onset; as, to make assault upon a man, a house, or a town. A violent onset or attack with moral weapons, as words, arguments, appeals, and the like; as, to make an assault on the prerogatives of a prince, or on the constitution of a government. (criminal) An attempt to commit battery: a violent attempt, or willful effort with force or violence, to do hurt to another, but without necessarily touching his person, as by lifting a fist in a threatening manner, or by striking at him and missing him. singulare tantum legal The crime whose action is such an attempt. (tort) An act that causes someone to apprehend imminent bodily harm. singulare tantum legal The tort whose action is such an act. (fencing) A non-competitive combat between two fencers. The actions of the lawmakers are unnecessary, since police have condoned off the place, the honorable thing is for them to obey and live by example. Just imagine I refuse to stop for police stop and search because I know my papers are correct. You don't need to touch a police man physically before you assault him, mere abuse, pushing, holding his uniform, removing his beret, invading a red line are disrespectful to the force and must be condemned by all. |

Google it. But hold your bible on your right hand while doing that bc you may not recover from your discoveries. |
I commend your efforts but why not wait until you become a lawyer before you xray very sensitive legal matter as this because your opinion, with due respect, is biased. Because when you want to discuss any legal matter, you do not attach sentiment but the true position of the law as laid down. That Mr A stole and was not caught or tried in any court does not justify stealing. |
If GEJ decamped to APC today, he will be presented as a saint and his sin forgiven. Then I ask, who is really the corrupt PDP, APC is referring to? Because the last time I checked, Amaechi, Tambuwa, Atiku, etc and many other APC leaders were the people that made up PDP. |
May the Lord Keep them. |
@seun or Mod, a matter that involves the first pentecostal church in Nigeria. A church that had spent about 80 years in Nigeria and members across the country and in almost every country of the world is what you hide the news about their former G O of the status of Adeboye, Oyedepo in a " non-celebrity" segment. It is not all the time that we should show our ignorance in the public, at times, we ask questions or Google if we don't know. This is the most popular church in the eastern part of the country after catholic. |
The former General Superintendent, Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Paul Emeka, has been detained by the Police for certificate forgery and for parading himself as a professor of Theology. Emeka who was interrogated by the Force Criminal Investigation Department,Abuja, on Wednesday, may be arraigned in court on Friday. If convicted, he may be jailed for between 10 and 21 years. The cleric was recently sacked as the leader of the AGC, and was also ex-communicated from the ministry for allegedly dragging the name of the church in the mud by instituting legal suits and using law enforcement agencies to witch-hunt some of their leaders. Our correspondent gathered that Emeka’s ordeal began when he was picked up by the IG Monitoring Team based on complaints from the National University Commission, which confirmed that his professorship certificate was fake. It was learnt that Emeka confessed to Police interrogators that he purchased the professorship certificate from one Prof. Okoro, who was deported from the United States to Nigeria. The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, confirmed the detention of the cleric and his planned arraignment in court for certificate forgery. He said, “I am aware that Rev. Emeka is with us and he was interrogated on Wednesday by detectives for parading himself as a professor. He may be arraigned in court on Friday.” http://www.punchng.com/news/ex-assemblies-of-god-church-leader-faces-prosecution-for-forgery/ |
bigtt76:Wrong sir, in fact, it is experience and precedence that made her to go through all the stress. After all, it is not easy to become or be made Special Adviser on Women Matter and since somebody earned that last year, she may be made Special Adviser on Widows Matter. |
I never like PDP and still don't but the way APC is going by their tantrums, they will force many like me to stay with the known devil. If APC presents a better candidate with vision and open integrity, apart from GMB, I may vote for him or her. I witnessed GMB rule, he was not the best during his time. His anti corruption is over hyped, how do we know he was not corrupt when the press was not allowed to publish anything about his government. Something is telling me that he was more corrupt than this government bc at least there are senate and House to monitor GEJ and the press to publish. What are done in the dark may be darker than we see. |
Good observations, I think these are the issues politicians and the media should be discussing now instead of this pull down syndrome of our leaders. Those expecting GMB to perform magic will be disappointed, because under democracy, he will be frustrated by rule of law this, rules of law that and at the end, he will realise that this is not militocracy where press could be suppressed, courts ordered closed, people arrested without trial etc. |
barcanista:Good job sir, please since you are educating Nigerians, take time also to research few good things Jonathan has done like Lagos Ibadan road under construction, Benin Ore road, Railway,Agriculture etc. Please help us, you know you are good at research. How are we sure it is not the Iphone that copied Lenovo, is it because Apple have money for press hype for its launch. Abeg! |
LeStylo:You mean 28th November? |
I just had a conversation with the Chairman of Oshodi now, he said Oshodi is not part of it now until later in the month. Guess it is selective distribution for now. |
