Nezzjnr:Exactly, Woodward was counting on the fact that he would accept eventually, because no big club will offer him 250k for his age, let alone small club, except if he goes to Asia, only for PSG to come and spoil our raggae with their blues. I wonder what PSG wage bill will look like. I'm sure those oil people will be paying their players with third party Companies to avoid FFP infringement |
Expert17:Ha I don die. Because of one champions league match Herrera is now better than Gueye? ![]() Even as an Everton player he was rated higher. Now that they are in the same club , we all can see who the first choice is. |
afrodoc2:@Bolded Obviously, he did a good job at it. The likes of Expert17 swallowed the political yarns and still dey give us Herrera alert |
Expert17:He left because he had better cash out offer not because of maltreatment. All this talk of Maltreatment, offer coming late bla bla bla is just to make it seem like he really wanted to stay, which is a lie. If I was in his shoes too, I won't turn down a 300k offer just because of a yeye DNA when I'm not mad. An offer that comes with Guaranteed Ligue 1 trophy every season and PSG is also a big club in Europe. So it's a win for me. |
Expert17:No one hates ex players here, it only you guys j that just want to be revising history just because you don't like Woodward ( which by the way is a common factor among United fans) People also do that with Lukaku here , dropping Lukaku alert any time he manages to control a pass , and it's getting irritating to say the least. We should just move on and stop this attitude of bringing up the names of ex players whenever they managed to have a good game. Where was Herrera alert since all this days. All of a sudden he started having playing time due to the injuries to their first Choice midfielders (Gana Gueye and Verratti) Una no allow us hear word again |
Expert17:No the deal he wanted was what came late (250k), not a contract extension altogether. Don't make it sound as if he wasn't offered an extension before that time. He was offered contract extension more than once but the money was the problem. By the time Ed eventually gave in, PSG had already come with a better offer of 300k. So it was a no brainer that he will accept the offer from PSG |
Expert17:1.Yes Herrera is Average. One champions league final game won't change that. It's not like he's a world class midfielder like De Bruyne or Xavi that the club will fight tooth and nail to keep in the team no matter the cost. He just a regular guy that can be replaced in the team 2. The same Ed that we were abusing for offering ridiculous contract, decided not to give a pay rise of 250k from 120k to a 29yr old player after the Sanchez saga, yet we are still complaining. 3. The situation with Herrera is currently like the Thiago situation with Bayern . He's a good player no doubt , but that doesn't mean he's irreplaceable. Despite the fact that Bayern have been offering him a new contract, he refused to stay because he wants more money. Probably because he's now 29, and that is the age most players usually want to cash out. Bayern not offering him the amount he wants doesn't mean the coach doesn't want him, it only means the club doesn't want to go over budget when they can easily replace him with a younger prospect . |
Nezzjnr:Me I don't even know where expert got his own narrative of Herrera being angry at Ed because he wasn't offered new contract early. If I can remember that time, a lot of fans where even saying that make the man just give him the money afterall the likes of Rashford and co earn 250k too. |
Expert17:You and I both know that this is a lie. Even though I'm not a fan of Woodward, that doesn't mean that we should lie put on top the man head He was offered new contract like 2 or three times but he kept declining them because of the wage. He wanted 250k but Ed was only offering 200k or so. He would have accepted eventually though if PSG didn't come with a bid of 300k. Cos I'm sure Ed was banking on the fact that most clubs won't give a 29 yr old Average player like Herrera a 250k contract, but PSG came through for Herrera , luckily. In summary , he went for the money. Not because he was angry at Woodward bullshit excuse. If Ed had offered him 250k outright from the initial offer, I'm sure he would have accepted it right away and we won't be having this discussion about the time of when Ed gave him the contract |
Lana1:Someone as big as Maguire who is probably angry at the time with adrenaline pumping hard in his body, it is possible that it would have taken 6 guys to restrain him |
Nezzjnr:True. If anyone doubts this, they should ask Aston Villa. Those guys nearly got relegated last season despite spending as much as Man Utd in the transfer window, due to the fact that they were signing a lot of low cost average players that wasn't adding quality to the sauad |
MRTA7:One thing is sure. If the club's fortune doesn't change in the next 5 years, the revenue will drop. May be by then they will get serious, it better still be forced to sell to one of those Saudi Prince |
jimmyiovine:There is a saying, which says You don't value what you have until you loose it The days of having carpenters in the team is over, yet some misguided officials and ex-internationals for selfish reasons want us to include carpenters in our team based on quota system. Ghana that has different varieties of carpenters in their teams knows the pain they are going through ![]() |
thorrvik55:@bolded, Being English might not matter again at the end. Man Utd were heavily linked to Grealish and Madison when we needed an AM. But we ended up going for Bruno Fernandes who prior doesn't have EPL experience but Woodward decided to risk him because he's cheaper 55m Euro as against those two English boys who their clubs are putting a price tag of 80m pounds on. I'm sure Ole and Woodward would be looking at alternatives in case the deal falls through. |
GloryIsaac:The same was said about Fekil. Anything can happen . I know Dortmund are trying to prevent a sale this season so that they can do auction him next season when most of the big clubs recovery financially, and not because they are keeping him to win trophies. But it's a very big gamble if you ask me. They could get 80-90m from Woodward this season if they are ready instead of that ridiculous 120m they are asking. |
GloryIsaac:In the same way, the chances of Dortmund loosing him for a cheap sum next season can also happen. If you doubt me, ask Lyon concerning Nabil Fekil. I think Man Utd wanted him one time like that, but Lyon was getting greedy with the price just like Dortmund, At the end, they ended up selling him for a chicken change to Real Betis at a ridiculously cheap price after he has lost the hype in a year or two. Sometimes, it is not always about Woodward not wanting to pay, it's about some of this clubs being unreasonable at times, and some of them usually regret it. Koulibally will likely follow the same route. |
What is this latest I'm hearing from this shekpe fans again. Dunk is better than Maguire?. All of a sudden Dunk is better than Maguire just because he's being linked to Chelsea? This is now becoming madness. Chelsea fans are no more normal again. At first I thought it was a trolling stuff, but as I began to read more of those rants it dawn on me that they were being serious. Like WtF?!! I'm sure at this point even if they link Phil Jones to Chelsea, I'm sure Chelsea fans will start arguing and bringing out agenda statistics of him being better than Maguire ![]() |
andrewbaba44:For a professional bottler club like Barca, luck is the last thing that is definitely not on your side ![]() |
nitrogen:The bolded is the best solution for Woodward. Continue sacking and hiring managers depending on performance. Let's forget this Fergie's era of a single manager, that era is gone. If the club wants to continue to remain relevant and successful, then this should be the next course of action. They can start by giving Ole an Europa league trophy ultimatum. If he doesn't deliver , sack his ass, afterall, they gave him all his transfer targets in the season. Look at the Bayern team for instance, the difference between this invisible team and the shitty one at the beginning of the season was the coach. Sometimes a change in the coaching staff brings in fresh ideas and focus for players to follow |
fraymite:its not a rule actually, but English clubs just like to include the clause in loaned players |
melodyogonna:Only if Barca had swallowed their pride yesterday and played a low block defense and try to hit on the counter, things might have turned out differently. Instead they want to drag possession with a very fit and agile Bayern side. |
dantewest:You are wrong sir. Vaccines are not cheap. Infact they are very very expensive than regular drugs. The price of a dose of a vaccine can be originally up to #100,00. The only reason they appear cheap is because they are being subsidised by different charity organisations that buy them e.g Bill Gates foundation and govt of the countries that buy them, so they can administer it to people for free. |
mostob:Just because wolves packed bus? we all know that is how they play from the get go |
I don't know where all this fear is coming from. I'm just happy Sevilla won today cos I dreaded us playing Wolves and seeing them using that shitty tactics of sitting back while hoping to sneak one in. That tactics almost worked, if not for Jimenez choking the penalty (Small time they will be abusing Bruno cos of penalties as if it's easy , especially when the stake is high) Anyway , at least with Sevilla, we will have chances to score, it's now up to Martial and co to be clinical on the day, cos it's the most clinical team that will win. |
handelex:Scholes just like to throw jabs. All this failed managers just like to misyarn sometimes. In as much I'm not a Mourinho fab, he still deserve some respect from the club and those yeye legends |
Herbiedeen:Tell your defenders to keep their filthy hands to themselves and stop dragging our attackers in your box like tiger generator, then the pks will stop ![]() |
Arabiandude:Yen Yen Yen!!! The match should have been over in regular time , no thanks to that copanhegan goal keeper who is using this match to audition for a big club to notice him as well as rashford and martial dribbling instead of shooting |
JayromWrites:Aerial prowess for a number 9 this days is now useless. Nowadays your number 9 must be good on the ball and must be able to contribute to play. Man Utd coach that sold an aerially better Lukaku for a more mobile Martial will relate. Same as Pep who buys strikers based on what they can do. |
Oasis007:He don get sense na. ![]() Na The Bruno deal make me realise am. Ordinarily, we could have paid 70-80m for Bruno but we ended up paying 49.5million with ad-ons in the future. If he had sense last year, we could have signed Maguire for less than 80million definitely, cos Maguire would have eventually pushed for the move which could eventually bring down price just like what happened with Man city when they wanted to buy Mahrez. Every player wants to step up to the big stage. lol He's banking on some variables concerning Sancho. 1. We are the only Club currently bidding for him and Dortmund are only banking on a bidding war to happen if other offer comes, so far it hasn't happen. 2. Eventually Dortmund will soften their ground when the transfer window is about to close and if Sancho did not sign a new contract. It happened with Fernandes,( cos sporting Lisbon were hoping on a bidding war, but it did not happen, that was why they soften their stance in the last minute if the transfer window, cos they were initially insisting on 60m plus add ons before ) All things being equal, with all the things Ed has learned in the TW, we won't be seeing Sancho anytime soon. We should be expecting him on the last week or days of the Transfer window. |
Why did Angel Gomes leave Man utd just to sign for Lille who in turn sent him on loan. Why can't h just extend his contract at Man Utd and let them send him on loan. At least a team like Man Utd will send him to a better team in Championship as a United product instead of Portugal. Anyway Goodluck to him sha. It is the little decisions like this that can change the course the career of a youngster. I hope his decision will turn out good for him sha |
Botfuss:The money that Ed paid to those blogs for transfer PR has expired, he's yet to renew it for this month ![]() |
BikeMan:Una Wan start what you cannot finish. ![]() These Chelsea fans no dey ever learn , I swear ![]() |
