I posted last week about my difficulties paying an application fee in form of a money order. The initial one I paid was lost between the post office and the school. The Nairalander, Timi1990, that made the original payment on my behalf decided to help me make another payment, out of his pocket while we wait for the resolution and refund of the original payment. This time the post was tracked and can gladly inform the house that it has been received by the school. Application has been sent to the department for review.

I want to thank @Timi1990 again, you have been wonderful. I can definitely vouch for you and look forward to forging a stronger relationship with you. Gracias.

Hi all, I paid an application fee of $30 in form of money order on February 6 through a member of this forum who is in the United States. Unfortunately, the school has not received the money order up till now, though to the best of my knowledge the person actually made the purchase because He sent me a picture of the money order. We are currently trying to resolve the issue with USPS.

The application deadline was March 1, although I have been in contact with the programme coordinator and was informed that my application would still be considered if the payment is made promptly. The problem is the school only accepts money order or check. Please I need urgent help with this payment. I really like the school, the funding is generous and I believe I have a very good chance of being admitted. Thanks all.

I didn't hear from you not until ending of February when you told me that the school didn't receive the money order, that's when i became worried and have to go back to where I purchase the money order. I also sent you the enquiry form I filled at the post office with your name and all the necessary details on it . Have done all the necessary things I just need them to give me a positive response that "they will do a refund" . #ogaoooooooo

Nigeria PayPal doesn't receive funds, you can only send money .

Gtb bank disable online transaction for some particular site . e.g PayPal,skrill, neteller, okay and the rest. The best you can use is Accessbank Visa card which is currently working with PayPal, but restricted to $100 per month. So get two Accessbank card and send your funds to someone in the USA or use moneygram it's a bit cheaper now.

Well, I have a way of getting dollars way cheaper without patronizing black market, but then if I didn't have such source; I'll rather deal with a black market man I can see physically than risk sending money to someone account whom I haven't met before. Wes charges is over $200 , your Gtbank or access bank limit is $100 per month. So get someone in the US to make payment for you; while you pay naira into their account in naija .

For those people traveling by January let me quickly drop this. If you own a Stanbic Bank or Citi Bank account not less than 3month old then you should be able to get PTA. I was able to get small amount from Stanbic before I traveled. Kindly walk into any Stanbic branch with your passport, travel document, flight ticket and a copy of 1-20. They will make a copy of those documents and ask you to fill a request form for the amount you want. Few days to your travel date , they will call you for pickup at their VI office in Lagos .
NB: you must have enough funds in the account for two weeks, because they will debit your account once they approve ur PTA.
The rate was 385/$, and the maximum is $3,000.

When you can file for free? Why would you pay such amount when you are experiencing hardship. Fill the fee waiver form and make sure you attach enough evidence and zero account balance with all your bills.
