If we keep grumbling in the face of hardships without voicing out our grievances, posterity will blame us and call us fools. All we need is a platform to bring us together to a common purpose and say no to poor governance. Enuf is enuf... #Istandwith2baba... |

Osun ooo... That's my state! Kudos to our ABLE GOVERNOR. Educational reformation at its peak! |
I grew up as a Nigerian under very harsh circumstances in a community where civilization was overwhelmingly absent. I could remember the day the then Military Governor of Osun State paid our village a visit, that was the first time I saw tough looking men in Khaki, wielding guns and barking orders in order to protect the Governor. As a kid, I ran away seeing the heavy presence of the military with sirens blaring. I wasn’t born, but I was told and also read about the Nigerian Civil War. I was also told that the war could have been avoided. And that the Nigerian nation was plunged into civil war because of order from the above. I was also told that those who fought for the unity of the country in the civil war are now forgotten heroes and those who gave the orders are now national heroes. I also read that some GOCs were rendered useless after the war was won with the fear of the unknown. And finally, I read that the war did not solve the problem. I vehemently say no to a 2nd civil war. I am not ready to tell my children tales of woes. I am not ready to bear arms to kill and maim my brothers, either from the North or the South. Our amalgamation wasn’t a mistake, it was destined to be. My being a Nigerian is never by mistake, it’s for a purpose. Don’t terminate my life because you can’t resolve your individual differences at the top. I have dreams, goals and ambitions. I am sure our politicians will travel out of the country with their families on the outbreak of war, only to return as celebrated heroes. I am sure Nigeria is greater than the Nigerian politics. Don’t play politics with our lives, for indeed, the state of our economy is killing us already. Let all hands be on deck to proffer solutions to our seemingly unending problems. NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE... |
Dongreat:Yeah... That's why I have chosen not to persuade her to stay. I don't want to bear the blame in the future. And besides, it was a student pastor.... Those fellowship pastors... |
badttrader:She told me her pastor said we're spiritually incompatible and that we will have problems in the future if we keep the relationship. |
Wow... At last, there's a platform I can empty my heavy heart aches. I actually came on Nairaland to read some funny comments to at least put up a smile before I sleep but this topic caught my attention . My babe just broke up with me too. We dated for 4 years. I'm really heartbroken and the word 'down' is just an understatement. |

fluffybaby:You can easily identify the e-diots on Nairaland. By their comments, you shall know them. |
Rally round the government? Dear, we don't have to. We didn't really rally round our soldiers when they embarked on killing spree in Zaria. They did it! Yes, they are champions. It won't be Iran vs Nigeria, it will be Shiite vs. Anti Shiite(NA). let our soldiers show them their prowess and military strength on the battlefield. Let them show them why over 500 citizens should die at a time without any sign of remorse. Let them know that our own COAS is a god that is above the man-made laws. And lastly, they mustn't forget to show Nigerians that they cannot lose a single man even when they are attacked because none of them did when they claimed they were attacked by the Shiites... By then, it would be just a CLASH between the Shiites and the NA. GOD BLESS THE NIGERIAN ARMY. |

papiforreal:Permit me to come in... I wouldn't want to sojourn down the memory lane but may I be permitted to stress that LAW IS NOT JUST A COURSE? With reference to a sage: 'think less of what your country can do for you but rather what you can do for your country' Joblessness is inevitable when young minds study because of material wealth... I wouldn't be too wrong to state categorically that the so-called professors couldn't even define the essence of excess wealth that's why unsurprisingly, most of them live a very simple life. There is no harm in studying the course of your choice, the problem is what have you decided to offer in return to the society for the years spent in the higher institutions of learning... Funke Akindele is an actress but graduated as a law student. Don't you think she wouldn't have made it big going by her profession? Her's is just one of the many examples... I want to assure you that it is not by certificates but by grace... You are very correct about the supply being higher than demand but I think the body that coordinates the affairs of Law Faculties in Nigeria has taken some steps to invariably correct this anomaly. The only one I am aware of is the recent census that was carried out by the body to know the number of law students in Nigeria... I was informed by a learning colleague that the body wants to restrategize and draw up more plausible plans for the learning of law in Nigeria... I want to believe that I have not been biased in my judgment/analysis so far... TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD THE WORLD COME WHAT MAY... We are Nigerians! #Lord Mike |
coolshegs10:Enter her details on Jamb.org.ng in the check admission status column ... Post UTME scores do not matter now sir, what is her aggregate? |
Penboy:go nd check it bro... It nearly cost me my admisn. I was askd to present my post ume result for screening, I couldn't present any. I actually checkd mine bt I cnuldn't find d cafe-printout... Advised 2 check it ASAP nd kp as many copis as possible... |
I've had at least 5 girls so far who have expressed their feelings 2wardz me... I don't think it's a big deal if properly handled by matured guys... 'Maturity' in dz context, doesn't refer 2 age... |
Hmmmnnn... I think it's hightime we stopped quenching fire with fire... Don't knw if we cn all reason along this path: I think it's time our scientists stepd into this as well... The Boko Haram insurgents are smhw fortified to the bullets of our men in uniform, except bombs... Perhaps, the much dreaded ebola can help in the fight against these terrorists... If the virus could be obtained, let there be improvised bullets and perhaps bombs made or mixed with the ebola virus. Once it penetrates one, it will surely kill many as they are brothers on the battlefield and would aid their brother who has been shot... There are ways they can be killed without the use of guns... Pollute their camps with dangerous chemicals... Bt, first of all, you have to fight the war within so as to win the war without... There are saboteurs among you... Fish them out... #jstanovice'sview/advice though... |
gallantsoldier: Jonathan is the worst thing that has ever happen to nigeria bokoharam are confidently winning the war in a week no fewer than 30 soldiers lost there lives in borno state the FG are deceiving nigerians by taking 1600 soldiers for election dnt be deceived the NA are out of soldier the soldier in my barrack now are not more than 17 in the whole barrack only this week 8 soldiers from my unity av been killed in borno last week it was 6 RIP warrant officer aliyuda and private Rotimi u died gallantSir! I salute ur gallantry, selfless saviz nd courage in defending the integrity of our dearest country, Nigeria... I knw the reason why it seems as if the NA is losing the war, it's bcs there are traitors among you! And perhaps, who knows if those traitors are ur bosses who can not be questioned or confronted... Until the traitors among u are exposed nd defeated, the battle against Boko Haram wil continue until all the good soldiers are killed. And wot do u think wil hapun? The bad ones wil immediately surrender their arms 2 d Boko boys and probably, stage a coup against the government in d pretence dat the government kudn't do anytn when the Nigerian troupes were killed by Boko boys... Another thing, though nt recognized, bt 2 d best of my knowledge is a plain truth is dat, when u were given ur uniforms nd guns and other weapons, you were nt gvn juju/charms lyk my pple wud say... If it is true dat charms are nt real nd baseless, the thieves that robbed five banks in my area wouldn't av gone scot free... The big guns(I DON'T KNW D NAME), so called, kudn't do a thing on their body... Why can't u all have internal meetings, lyk fwendz in d barrack, 2 find ur ways since d government doesn't allow it officially! Those Boko boys are fortified against ur bullets, that's y itz difficult to fyt them... #jst a novice's advice though... I rest my case... |
