oruma19: but be sincere to urself, what they are doing is it right? Can u say Jesus is happy with them? Why deceive God's people to ur personal enrichment? It's not fair na, these pastors make believers feel God does not love everyone by the way they talk and do things. I knw how Chris talks, he makes u feel if u don't give him money God will not bless u, why then did Christ die? oyedepo is very boastful, adeboye humble but sly and assumes his word to be law. Kumuyi is not talking about it because he feels guilty. Olukoya is the only one who came out to say the truth, it is not compulsory. I am not against giving because I give a lot, not to sound immodest, God placed in my heart to assist a church near me build the auditorium and I am doing it gradually, so the point is clear, its good to give to God's work but not in under any form of duress , bet9ja or merrybet pattern where u give and expect return like God is kalokalo.we give because we are blessed not because we want God to bless us but because we appreciate His blessings. If He blesses us more, well and good, but in appreciation of His blessings we give. Let our men of God repent and do God's will. A lot of people in the bible who initially were great ended sadly because they derailed e.g Solomon, Samson, gehazi, Judas etc. Its not impossible for these men of God to go to hell, yes it is possible if they continue in false teaching for personal enrichment. Who are you to judge these men of God? Are you perfect? Besides, none of them tie rope around their necks and drag them to their churches. They chose to fellowship there, and if they are not comfortable with their practices, they should leave and look for the ones that suit them. |

No point You have tried on this your submission about tithe payment. I would advise you to leave those Freeze followers alone, they will not believe you because Freeze is telling them what they want to hear. These are the same people who condemn men of God for receiving gifts from their members, Philippians chapter 4 that you cited vindicates these men of God and also just justifies them. But Freeze and his blind followers will not believe because their ignorance is irredeemable. Some of them even take pleasure in insulting men of God like Pastor E.A Adeboye, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, etc. I am not a member of these pastors but I regard them as men of God. |
Are you saying it is not real? The fact is the power of God can be too heavy for the human body to hold, so whats the reaction? The body gives way. I have seen people fall from watching tv. The man of God cannot make anybody fall, it is the power of God. Besides falling under power is biblical. John 18: 5-6 "Jesus saith unto them, I am he.... As soon as he said unto them, I am he, they went backward and fell to the groundquote]Yes, they fell to the ground to worship Him as soon as they recognized Him. They did roll on the ground as if they were drunk as we have it today in the church of God. You also said that the power of God is too heavy for the human body, this is not correct. Have you forgotten that God's Spirit dwells in us? From Genesis to Revelation, there is no man of God that exercised the power of God by throwing away their garments. |

This is the problem with the body of Christ today, we don't love ourselves. But we pull down ourselves out of envy and hatred. I don't know the problem of people criticizing him for receiving a gift. They are greedy set of people who will hardly give offering in church or pay their tithes let alone appreciate their pastors by giving to him. They are selfish people who will not see good things in people to appreciate because they are full with hatred. Please ignore them, they want ministers of the gospel to live in penury and become frustrated. Please ignore these people because the devil has captured their mind. |

isaacsegun: Please fellow nairalanders, Ineed your urgent advice. We started dating as far back as year 2007, then she was 17 while i was in my early 20s. I'm her first love, in fact, I was the person that deflowered her. I got her pregnant during the course of our relationship in which we aborted, the abortion almost took her life.
Since after the abortion issues that create serious problem between her parents and mine, her parents has kicked against our relationship including mine but she's insisting we must marry even up till today.
Please guys, should i just tell her that we cannot marry because i can see that she's very desperate to marry now as age is not on her side, but I'm afraid to tell her that the relationship cannot work because she can do anything (like attempting to even take her own life) @op, if this your story is true, permit me to say you are heartless. Just look at the damages you have done to her. 1. You took advantage of her while she was a teenager and deflowered her. 2. You impregnated her. 3. You aborted the pregnancy. 4. You continue the relationship after the abortion till now. Meaning that you have wasted good 10 years from her life. And now, you are giving flimsy excuses not to marry her. Do you know the number of prospective suitors she might have say no to because of you? If you betrayed her love now, remember the law of karma. You will reap what you sow. To the girls, this is why God frown at fornication, and encourages everyone to keep his/her virginity till the wedding night. But many ladies think they can buy love by offering men sex, this is a wrong choice in life because it is against God's will and many men are heartless like this poster. Say no to premarital sex.Say no to abortion |

Christianity Etc › What I Heard In The Church Today by Timijo(op): 12:30pm On Aug 13, 2017 |
Good afternoon, you are welcome to this thread. I want to share the message that I heard today in the church. This message has blessed my life, and I pray it will bless your life too as you read through.
SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE TOPIC: Victory Over Life's Problems TEXT: Job 14:1 Speaker: Mummy F.M. Popoola
This message is divided into four different sub-topics which are:
1. Reality and universality of life's problems 2. Wrong attitudes to life's challenges 3. Why do Christians go through life problems? 4. How do we Triumph over all these life's problems.
1. Reality and Universality of Life's Problems
Problems of life come because we are in a fallen world. Man that is born of a woman is of a few days and full of troubles. But we thank God because Jesus has come to save us problem of life doesn't regard race, age, wealth, location or any status quo. It is universal. Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of all. This means that the believers are not exempted from the problems' of life, but the goodnews about it is that the Lord delivers them. The death of a loved one who is a child of God is not a defeat but a victory because he or she has gone home to rest. John 16:33 Jesus did not tell us that we will not have problems in this world, but He told us to be cheerful because He has overcome the world. When I first gave my life to Christ I used to think that there is no problem again. Examples of afflictions are marital problems, persistent sicknesses, oppressions and torments in various forms, joblessness, problem in the workplace, problem with your children ( may you have prayed for their salvation and they are not yielding to Christ) The Lord Jesus is in control, they will serve Lord.
2. Wrong Attitudes to Life's Challenges[b/]
a. Disfellowship with God. This does not bring solution to your problem but it rather gives opportunity to the devil to attack you the more. b. Some people disfellowship with Gid's children. When you do this you are disengaging from spiritual power that can help you. c. Some people stops serving God. They withdraw from God's work. Romans 8:35 d. Some people result to fate. e. Some people visit false prophets for help.
3. Why do Christians go through life problems?
a. It is because the devil wants to destroy your faith in God just as he wanted to turn the heart of Job against God. Satan accused Job that he was serving God because He has blessed him and made him comfortable. The devil did not prevail over Job but he succeeded over his wife. The devil will not prevail over us in Jesus' name. b. The devil afflicts Christians to stop the work of God that they are doing. Any time you are going through life's trials, please don't stop your service in the house of God. c. Another reason is that the devil wants to destroy our destiny. God has good destiny for His children. (Jeremiah 29:11) d. Christians go through life's problems because they are challenging him in their activities, such as prayers, evangelism, deliverance, healing and so on. e. The devil afflicts God's children because he wants to prevent them from the land of rest (heaven). he does'nt want anyone to get to heaven, but as for us we will get there in Jesus' name. f. The devil causes problems for us because he wants to dispossess us of our inheritance in Christ.
4. How do we Triumph over all these life's problems. We have seen that Satan is our enemy from the Book of Ephesians 6:12. Don't see human beings as your enemies. a. Psalms 50:16 You must never stop praying. When you have prayed and there is no result, persevere and share your burden with other God's children to join you in prayer. Romans 8:26 You should also pray in tongue if you have the gift. b. Believe God as you prayed. If you don't believe in your prayer, the devil will take advantage of you. So, have faith in God and what Jesus has done for you (Mark 16:17-18). Don't hire prayer contractors who will collect your money and resources. Do the prayer by yourself and believe God for victory. c. 1 John 5:4-5 He that is born of God overcomes the world. So, if you are not born again, you can not overcome your problem. d. Learn to praise God at all times...Psalms 34:1. Praise God in times of problems and victories. Psalms 105:2... Praise God everyday, that is, when there is no money, food, when you fail exam or face disappointment in life, praise God for who He is in your life. In the Book of Acts 16, Paul and Silas praised God while they were in prison and deliverance came.
Finally, I don't know what you are passing through, I don't know what the enemies have done to you. But what I know, is that my Jesus holds my tomorrow and your tomorrow. He owns your life. Don't allow the devil to give you a wrong opinion about God. Surrender your life to Jesus and He will see you through. |

Travel › Re: 5 Factors To Consider Before You Compete With A Trailer On The Road. by Timijo(m): 7:18am On Jul 31, 2017 |
autojosh: Some of us are fond of competing with trailers on the road… and our panel beaters over-bill us after our over-skill fails. I have been bitten once, so now, I avoid them like.. I don’t want trouble.
During the first-to-go competition, several drivers get carried away with the aim of being the winner until they lose big time.. heading to the repair shop after plenty “I beg Sir”. For me, my therapy is to think of my safety. So, I just let them go. Let’s talk about some of the things you should remember before you compete, probably, they could help you too:
Trailer Drivers Are Reckless And Aggressive Most trailer drivers are aggressive and reckless when behind the wheels.. especially when driving under the influence of what you might call it. This is evidenced by the number of trailers reported in road accidents on a daily basis.
So if you want to compete, look for your mate.
They May Not Even See You Those trailers have enormous blind spots. This is a major reason they usually have motor boys (Co-pilot).. Some co-pilots that can’t drive. I hardly trust their judgement. Some of them will just tell the driver to be coming.. be coming.. until you hear…
Your Vehicle Could Get Damaged When this happened to me several years back, I then took the car to a panel beater who even caused more damage to the car. I never believed the guy would use sharp metal rod to puncture the body of the car that was smoothly dented by the trailer’s tyre.
They Can Waste Your Time A minute waiting time can save you several hours of delay. The sad thing is, those trailers don’t even leave small dents.. they damage your car well so you guys can argue for hours and you’ll spend additional time at the repair shop. After spending the time, you’ll still spend the money.
Your Life Is At Stake Even if you don’t love yourself, AutoJosh loves you. So please think twice and drive with caution. Many have been killed, containers have falling on several others. Avoid driving beside them even in traffic. It’s either you are behind them or you are in front running for your dear life.
Please don’t misconstrue, I am not saying you should be timid on the road and park anytime you hear the word “Trailer”.. A smart driver will know when to go and an excellent driver will know when to hold back. Strike a balance and be a safety conscious driver.
I am sure you have gone through this ordeal before. So, add your consolation strategy let’s learn from you too.
https://autojosh.com/x-factor-to-consider-before-you-compete-with-a-trailer-on-the-road/
Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun I like this your piece. As for me, I follow them carefully until I can see that the front is crystal clear before I overtake. Some of them that I have met are nice, they will give me arm signal to go when they notice that I am following them gently. But there are reckless ones who will leave their lanes or drive at the centre of the road to prevent you from overtaking them. I use to follow those ones carefully until I have my way to go. |
