MCynthia:
Hello everyone.

I am in uk currently on a tier4 and want to switch to skilled worker. I want to apply for my visa by October 5th but my passport will expire by march 2023.

Here are my questions:;
Will homeoffice accept this passport that is near to expiry?

Do I need to use my passport or brp for this visa application?

Anyone that hv passed through this stage or have any idea should answer me. I can't sleep.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi, you can use your brp to apply for the switch.

Providing incomplete documents usually delays decision making although they should have reached out. Just wait till end of the fifth day. U should get get a mail.

Thank you bro. I have received application successful mail. Waiting for my brp

6-8weeks is what is stated on the site. I quietly used priority £500 and confirmation in day 3 and brp came in by day 5

Good day bro, i have applied and paid for the H&C visa on the 23rd Sep. Today is the 26th and i am yet to get any decision mail. i used priority service and applied with the id checker app. i added the evidence of my pof on the same 23rd but uploaded scanned copy of my BRP today 26th as i did not hear from the UK office. Does it affects my application? thanks.

You can only apply for 6 months reimbursement at a time. Since the IHS fee is dependent on the length of your visa, you can't get more than the initial amount paid.

Also, once you switch to another visa, you will not be able to claim old IHS fee. Unless of course if you paid IHS on new visa and have worked 6 months in healthcare with the visa

Hi, wanted to ask please, How long did it take to get the new brp for the health and care visa? And how much did it cost for priority service ? Thank you

What is the initial deposit for Teeside pls?..
Not too sure but lady I checked £4500. Upon getting a conditional offer, you will be told to pay this the initial deposit and the amount would be specified.

Please when did you receive decision mail with priority?

I am thinking of withdrawing my application and reapply to pay for priority service. My standard application to switch from t4 to Skilled Worker Visa is now over 6 months

Hi,
After going through some of your post, I think it’s advisable to use the super priority rather than the priority service option for a quicker decision on the visa.
I am switching my visa route from T4 to skilled worker (H&C) visa.

I would like to know if I can use the ID Checker app also for this visa route and how much did the super priority cost?

Thank you

Got my Skilled Worker Visa (H&C) decision today at 7:58pm.

I am over the moon.

I am glad I chose to reapply after waiting over 6 months.

Hi, congratulations on the visa.

I have also just got a COS for the H&C visa from my employer.. plan to apply soon. But I would like to know if I can use the immigration checker app instead of booking a date and also is priority service available for this visa route as I am in the UK currently.

Thanks

Yes you have a contract with your school and if you've passed certain stage with them, you can't avoid not paying up your balance fees. I would've suggested you discuss this with them or an immigration lawyer to get their views. Cos the minute you no longer show up in school, they will withdraw your CAS and terminate your study visa with Home office ...same Home office you will be submitting a tier 2 visa application to.

Hi, thanks for the information. I have been informed that one do not need to pay for the second year fees before switching visa route since I have not enrolled and started my second year yet. Also mailed the school and they have said there is no problem switching to the visa route and I can continue schooling part time if I choose too.

U can switch your visa anytime. Infact, the earlier the better as ur 5years start counting when u switch.

Not sure about this. Once u switch, u can discuss with school on the way forward. Or discuss before the switch. This area get as e be.

Yes. You need pOF £1,270 (30 days) except ur employer indicates that they are providing financial support in your cos.

Healthcare worker visa do not pay ihs. You can check your status on the gov.uk site. It will simulate the cost of ihs (if any) for ur visa category.

Thanks for the kind information. Please lastly do I need to do a TB test?

No rules...it down to personal choices. Many are even abandoning school and going to tier 2... but I feel its a trap to keep people in minimum wage for 5 years all for paper

Thanks for the kind information. Do I have to pay my fees finish thoe, as I have paid my first year fees finish. Left with my second year.

Hello guys, My course end date is Jan 2024 but I have gotten a full time job in care and they are ready to sponsor me.

My question is on switching from tier 4 student visa to skilled worker visa (health and care worker visa).

- Can I switch my visa from tier 4 to tier 2 without completing my course?

- Do I have to complete my first year fees or all my fees before applying for this visa?

- I have only stayed in the UK for 7months, do I need to have proof of funds?

- Do I also need to pay the health surcharge?

@seunoj please can I get your contact email address if you don’t mind. Thanks for the help guys.

No one can really tell what is going on because even while some people are waiting, quite a number got their CAS already.

Hi, was your initial deposit confirmed before October 19 (early bird). If no, then you might likely have to wait a bit to get your CAS from Teesside University.
