Roasting people to reduce prison population?

I would like to think not. The penalty for drug trafficking in Indonesia is still death. It would have been less expensive to execute the sentences of the inmates rather than burning the prison and risking the lives of wardens, firefighters and other security agents needed to ensure the prisoners do not escape in the fire.

Only a few hours later and you’ll hear the bandits have struck again. Makes me wonder if the bandits have a population running into millions because every other day there’s reports that the Nigerian military destroyed their camps, killed scores of bandits while thousands who fear the same fate are surrendering. Just a few hours later bandits will carry out a more devastating attack. They’ll kill, Maim, destroy, kidnap citizens and even military officers then get appeased with millions of Naira. Yet, the government will report a different scenario where they are adequately dealing with this menace.

How many of the teeming able bodied Nigerians have the NA employed to to fight terrorism? The well meaning soldiers within their ranks are sent out under-equipped to be slaughtered by bokoharam and bandits.

After a week of constant news that bokoharam fighters are surrendering in droves to the Nigerian army, the nation’s defense academy is breached by a “heavily weakened” bokoharam, soldiers killed in the barracks(?), a major is kidnapped (IN THE BARRACKS)! It’s there for all to see, there are obviously bokoharam elements within our military ranks. You can fool the people (most times), you can’t fool everyone all the time.

This evil flame you stoke will ultimately consume you!

This APC government continues to look complicit with their lukewarm approach towards handling the security challenges posed by ‘bokoharam’ ‘gun carrying herdsmen’, ‘bandits’ ‘ethnic militias’ (especially Fulani’ ‘kidnappers’ and so on.

Nigerians have it up to their necks in dealing with a constantly failing economy. Dealing with a security situation this terrible is definitely not one we deserve. This government must do better.

Human lives have been reduced to just numbers in Nigeria. Almost no value.

Na Bokoharam write peace is better than war? Abi na their APC/Government handlers? Let the propaganda continue abeg. One day we will find that the budget for rehabilitation of these insurgents is just as high as the budget for defense. We will keep spending on both ends but the monies will keep making its way into private pockets. I am disgusted at the APC I am disgusted at the Buhari led government.
