That place is dangerous from time immemorial, you are lucky, just a lone attacker. Most time they are many, remember Godogodo, the police slayer, he came from there and many bad guys killing and maiming people. You are aware the place is dangerous ,but you still went on without care in the world. Next time you may not be lucky.
True...somehow, I just hated living a life of fear that was why I went ahead in taking the place. That place dangerous.

This exact scenario happened to me...

I was going to see my GF, a bouquet of red roses...thoughts of hot sex on our 2nd anniversary on my mind.

I got sandwiched between 2 burly stern looking guys. One with a long knife scar traversing his rather ugly unshaven face.

5 mins into the trip at a lonely spot, i felt the cold steel of a gun barrel jammed in my side. "Your money or your life" The ever-smiling handsome crook on my right whispered into my ear like a lover would shocked

My life flashed before my very eyes..."who would inherit my dog, Jack?" "Who would fvck Ngozi, my GF on my behalf?"

I was trembling and soaked in sweat, but my mind formed a plan. Foolish, it seemed to me but i recalled the barks of Jack and the moans of Gozi. This gave me a rush of 100% pure adrenaline. "Everything or Nothing it must be!"

I said a quick prayer to my ancestors and faked a sneezing fit. On the 3rd sneeze, i suddenly came to life....In 1 single swift motion, twisted the gunbarrel up with my right hand and slammed an elbow into the windpipe of the handsome guy who held the local made .45

We all heard 2 deafening bangs in succession. A bullet went through the roof of the car and other in the windscreen. Shrapnel from flying glass everywhere must have entered the driver's eyes because he lost control at top speed.

All these took less than 7 seconds....less than it took you to read this story ( if you didn't skip primary school that is) cheesy

I turned my attentions to Scarface and...

It hurts me to see football fans peddle lies in the name of being a fan. Ronaldo Jr's favorite footballer is Messi...in one of the award shows they attended together, he made CR7 get an autograph for him from messi...

As seen here from messi, their rivalry is only in competition and contention for titles and honors not one o disrespect for each other...

stop with the lies.

In all honesty, I have nothing against the guy nor messi. Only person wet never watch messi play football go get doubt for mind. once you watch him play he mesmerises your imagination and you certainly must want him on your side rather than against you. Throughout history, the greatest athletes have not necessarily been great because they did it all, but rather because they did it well. even the great o'phenomenon has no champions league to his name yet his place in history has a strong cement on it. For generations to come messi will continue to be adored his contributions to the game is very evident for all to see, he doesn't need propaganda nor sensationalism to have a place in history... him full there already.

I am not a fan of messi but how I want take explain say messi no sabi football?

I would want to debunk each of them, but I'll be brief.

How much is $12000 in naira,

Is 13 year old player from Argentina a TRIED player?
I reiterate...Bring out proof. don't come with question to attack question. learn!

Firstly, the new wells old boys team that messi plays for was the greatest youth team of the time in Argentina. They were popular at the time albeit in Argentina and of course, messi was the star man.like I earlier mentioned, the had about 500 goals to his name in that team. if you can't rake a risk on such a player, who do yo take a risk on? Messi didnt sign hi professional contract until he was 18. There are many footballers in the world but the professional clubs begin to vie for your signature, it means they have scouted you and deemed you worthy. messi was on the books of new wells old boys, river plate wanted him but couldn't because of financial issues at the time in Argentina, Barcelona one if the other teams that wanted him got him. I don't know your street but I bet you that there will be one or a few good footballer there. Those are the ones we can truly say are untried. obviously, no team is seeking their signature at the moment.

on the issue of how much is $12000? in the year 2000, that would have amounted to 1.32m which is still less than your claims of 'amounting to millions'

even though I asked you to bring out proofs and you keep running away from the truth because you are so used to your lies. I humbly await you bringing out facts so that I may at least be corrected of my ignorance.

You keep using the word lies indiscriminately, when in actual fact there has been no lie you pointed out. I'll leave you be, I am not one for long talk. Enjoy the rest of your day
some of the lies you've told include

barca spent millions in treating messi

messi was an untried player

80% of players in Europe have professional contract at 8.

*please provide proof for any of the submissions above.

Please how was a 13 year old a great player.. educate me please. What he had was prospect same with thousands of other players his age.. should we start listing players who even in their 20s were doing great but fizzled out afterwards. Let alone a 13 year old boy with growth deficiency. Barca took a very huge risk with Messi. A risk that only few clubs were willing to take.. just because his coaches said they knew he would be great does that mean he would certainly be great?. Or what would they even say before self. Would they say they thought he would never be successful?.. Just admit that barca took a risk on Messi and it paid off.. and did I even say barca trained Messi. Please go back and read my initial comment. I said they gave him a home, and family you missed the whole message in your hastiness calm down and drink some water.

P.s having a professional career at age 13 isn't as big a deal as you made it sound. At least 80℅. Of footballers in Europe has professional contracts at age 8. Even those that are average players
like I said stop peddling lies...messi's greatness needs no lies...firstly no plays can sign a professional contract at 8...

secondly, messi was already a great footballer...in his time with new wells old boys, he had scored about 500 goals. Barcelona weren't taking much risk they knew he was a great player so much that at 14, they agreed to pay him the same wage as a Barcelona b player would earn...river plate or new wells old boys would have kept him but the crash of the Argentine economy didn't give them that opportunity.

On the issue of Barcelona financial contribution to his treatment...it wasnt as much as you put it. for an individual, its a lot but for a club like barca considering a talent like messi, its change. Messi's HGH treatments lasted for three years the first tow years were sponsored through his father:s social welfare fund and some not so much change provided by new wells old boys. The last year of the treatment was funded by barca which was about $1000 per month an average of $12000. you must agree that considering a talent like messi that's cheap.

Now I understand you are so used to peddling lies. Please when you quote me next time, point out anything I have stated in error by providing facts to the contrary. otherwise, please stop with the lies.

Messi doesn't need to leave barca to prove himself. Barca is not a football club to Messi it's his family, without barca he won't even have a football career to start with. They took him when he was totally untried, paid for his treatment in millions, even when they were not sure he would be a good footballer let alone a great one. They housed him provided for him and gave him a family and he felt at home. Now you'd be an ungrateful bastard if you decide to leave such club when you finally become the best footballer on earth just so you can prove to one fool that never contributed a dime to your career.

Besides if he leaves barca what team does he want to go sef, he has beaten all the best teams from around Europe.. so what exactly does he need to prove
Guess what? messi is possibly the greatest footballer that would ever live... he deserves a lot of respect for his contribution to football, sports and the entire world generally. However do not peddle lies in the name of being a fan. Messi was already a great player before barca took him to Spain. he was already signed to a professional football club even though it was not a professional contract due mainly to his age and not his abilities as a footballer. As of today, New wells old boys still play in the premier division of Argentine football league. All his coaches as a kid always said that they knew he was a special player and from time to time we still hear reports of a possible return to new wells old boys.

if you respect messi, that's well deserved. stop with the lies. No training can create a messi... Barcelona didn't train messi to be what he is. They gave the world a better platform to SEE who he is.

Firstly, I am grateful to God for sparing my life. It could have been worse. God's mercy and grace kept me.(nairaland atheists please let me enjoy this one, its my gratitude to give).

This morning, Friday 29, March 2019, I left home early to go to work. Time was 6.00am. Anyone familiar with Ile-Epo/Oke-Odo area would be familiar with the huge refuse site close to the express between Ile-Epo bus stop and Super bus stop. Safe to say at very early hours and late at night that area gets very dark and can quickly become very lonely for pedestrians.

That was the situation i found myself this morning. As I was walking looking to get to Oja Oba on foot (as that's what I consider my morning exercise). noticed there was a presence walking behind me. Because I had heard stories of how various people had been mugged on that same path before, it quickly registered to me that the guy could be a robber as I had seen him cross the road from the dump site. Though I had initially thought nothing of him while he crossed he was alone and unarmed or so I thought)

Now with him gaining fast on me, I thought to myself 'should I walk faster to ascertain his motif?' I concluded to myself to walk normal and be prepared to hurt him if he tried to rob me. Less than five steps later, he tapped me from the back "hey stop there!" Rather than panic as he had expected, because I was conscious of him I turned abruptly with attack on my my mind and a raised voice "you dey craze?" with my hand lifted to guard with the left and punch with the right in that swift motion.

It was when my lifted hand hit his raised hand that I saw it was wielding a cutlass. The shock of my reaction to his premeditated attempt made the cutlass fall from his hand and without thinking much of it I had the cutlass in my hand while he immediately ran. My confidence grew as he ran and I followed after him unleashing some of the vocabularies I have picked up from my time on the street. "you wan die? o ma Ku ni! oo mo awon ti o n ba Se ni? emi wa ni iru e? I go just kill you"

As I saw he ran towards the dump site, I couldn't follow him there. That would have been dangerous for me (never chase a thief into his abode). I stayed in the middle of the road and hurled more threats at the top of my voice like I was the king of my street. I took the cutlass with me as I knew if I dropped it, he'll just pick it up and rob someone else.

A little street O.T helped me. However, like I said, it could have been worse. What if he had attacked first rather than try to threaten me into giving up my possessions?
