success9: I really don't know Pasuma's age now...but he was supposed to be in the squad for China 85. If u do d maths, he should be around 16, 17 then according to wikipedia, He was born on 27, November 1980 at Mushin in Lagos State. according to same wikipedia, he was born 27 November 1960. according to a blogger, He was born on the 27th of November year 1967 to the family of the Odetolas in Mushin, Lagos State, Nigeria. well, for me all i see isna mystery behind his true age. how you are able to tell which is true or fabricated, me i cant tell. |

TheGoodJoe: 27years? Kanu? Then you missed the rumour. Some said he was at least 31 in the Japan '93 U17. Yet he played for over seventeen years later.
I met a man who is a good friend of Wilson Oruma and he was in final year Geology in 2004 at Calabar. He was quite young and playing football for the University.
I was puzzled. I told him that someone told me that Oruma was thirty at the U17. The person told me he attended Oruma's birthday and the young man laughed.
He said it was not true. The man said he was even older than Oruma when they played ball at Benin. People lie to put footballers down and mock Nigerians achievement in the U17.
At 2004, this man was about 28-29. When I did my maths, Oruma must have been 16-17 in 1993. this man as u said was playing football for d university....in essence, his chances of avin ambitions to play professionally is stil alive and high....what makes u think he will tell you orumas real age usin his own age to compare? |

i quite understand the fears of those who disbelieve the 144 virgin ish... however, for many who have any idea of wat olumba olumba is(actual or percieved knowledge) the u wil tink...if this group is more like a cult, then the devotees will be subservient and really dedicated. many of these girls would av been devoted and donated to the ministry. many will live in fear of what 'god olumba'will do to dem. go read on wikipedia, olumba no dey take virginity play! |

NRIPRIEST: You make a a lot of sense but I still need to see him in his natural habitat or as a supporting striker. I feel like that left flank is taking something away from him. Didn't you see how energized he was when he was moved to that position. lets trust the coach to do d needful. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Australia: FIFA U-17 World Cup: (6 - 0) On 29th October 2015 by Timoleon(m): 2:26am On Oct 29, 2015 |
NRIPRIEST: Are you assuming these are the reasons Amunike plays him in the right or what? Remember Bamgboye who is also a lefty and a great player is there. yes...if i were the coach, i wud play him there too. even di maria pkays on the right.i understand what u are trying to say though...but in contemporary times left footers as good as that would rather come in from the right, they are more dangerous like that. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Australia: FIFA U-17 World Cup: (6 - 0) On 29th October 2015 by Timoleon(m): 2:09am On Oct 29, 2015 |
NRIPRIEST: I wanna know why Amunike is playing Chukwueze on the right flank? That kid is deadlier in the left side and he is a natural lefty. I know Bamgboye is equally a great player but Chukwueze is more calculative and very skillful. the same reason why robben, bale or messi dont play on the left....other than creating chances, being on the right allows him the chance to shoot on his stronger foot. |

Politics › Re: IGR: 5 Reasons Why Northern States Perform Poorly by Timoleon(m): 12:20pm On Oct 26, 2015 |
omowolewa: The beauty of it is that Northern states can still bounce back if they can leverage on Agriculture. The best capitalist we have in Nigeria is a Northerner mind you. Rise in IGR doesn't necessarily mean a rise in standard of living, unemployment level or purchasing power of the citizen. What is necessary here is to look at every other standards to measuring if Northern governors needs to go back to the drawing board. Lets take for instance, Nasarawa which is closer to Abuja should have leveraged on that to improve its IGR. When the North is ready to leave the 'ranka-dey-dey' way of life, bull-shit the National cake, take their destiny into their hands then you will see the improvements. You made a nice observation.
