Why that guy made that statement is because he has critically analyzed the possibility of anyone candidate getting 50percent as asserted by you.

With the look of things as it pans out , it is going to be very difficult for 50percent and above percentage for any one candidate in the northern region considering the fact that there are a lot of gladiators on the race. That chance is very very slim. Even if that person happen to get it, it won't be uniform across board.

The scenario where your thoughts will come in is when some persons step down and endorse another.

(It is undeniable that there was a gunshot) he is however not confirming that the gunshot came from his colleague or that the victim and co travelers acted accordingly or appropriately.

There's a lot of emotions involved in this case, and rightly so. But emotions do not win a case before an unbiased judge. Everything will still have to be based on evidence. I just hope the attorney general's office prepared very well before rushing this case to court. Because from what I'm seeing now from the witness, the case is already becoming "less straightforward"
1. The witness heard the gunshot, he said he wasn't looking, so that doesn't really prove the defendant shot her
2. The deceased driver outrightly flouted the law by not having an identifying number plate, by not stopping when flagged down by the police. He could claim he thought they were armed robbers.

I just pray the defence has many unbiased witnesses, not just those that were in the car but onlookers and passers by also.
