emperormossad: This is real art personified, look out most of the famous painting and art works in man's history; it's often intermixed with art that have deep meanings, you cannot just appreciate them from face value, their meanings are 'hidden'. I hear. Give me examples of the most thoughts provoking pieces of human art and tell me they were not personified. The raised arms of this statue do not even have fists, that should have symbolized struggle. If it had been the intention of the commissioners to provoke deep thought by omitting the head, they failed woefully! What does the head stand for in the first place? Honestly, they insult the memory of Abami Eda by erecting this absurdity. A bomber or Caterpillar driver should do justice to that thing ASAP. |

We've heard preliminary status reports from a handful of of car and airplane manufacturers.
More buyers' reports are necessary. What of those who bought and used the steel in the construction industry? High critical stress infrastructure: bridges, high-rise buildings, etc. |

Zeroid105: Politics aside. There is nothing wrong in revoking contracts which were actually put together against relevant laws. What Nigerians should be bothered abt is if same measures would be administered to all irrespective of political, ethnic or religious inclination. Why don't they apply same sections of the constitution to the administration of Remita? Does Remita charge their retainer fees before or after remittance of revenue to the CBN-designated accounts? Intels should just head to court. |

Does NACA mean to say that 15.2% of the estimated 11 million people living in Rivers have the HIV?! Is that what they mean?!

The food in makurdi tastes Aaaawful! With a capital A! Ate at different restaurants in 1998, 2005, 2014 & 2016. Same experience. I even had kunun dawa '98. One sip was all I could take. I'm not being prejudicial, if I could try the cuisine at different times over an 18-year period and still get the same result. |

TheTrueApostle: Because the recurring decimal in a black man's life will always show irrespective of where they are, reason the black nations are the way they are. A black man is so egocentric, egoistic and very greedy. For him it's just him others can die for all they care. That's the black man for you. An average white man with such fortune would be more into charity, and donations to help the society the best way they could. But no!!! That's not for the black man. This basic difference explains why the black nations are the way they are. I believe blacks should identify and understand they have a fundamental problem., only when that awareness is in us that we can make frantic effort towards real change and a better society.. Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Aliko Dangote, et al are all blacks and they aren't showoffs na! Me inclusive. |

elampiro: When I joined banking many years back, loans were written off upon termination of staff employment. Then a severance package would be given to the staff as an appreciation for serving the institution. But over the years, with new CEOs, everything has changed for the worse. Those days if you put in five years, you would be qualified for an exit package. You can say you are tired, you resign and collect your exit package. The profit now is far far higher, yet the staff welfare has become poorer.
There has to be a new orientation in the corporate world.
Hmmm. It has even gotten worse sir. In some places, you waive your right to a severance package, if you resign of your own volition. |

Xyzee: I would give you my experience after working for 4 commercial Banks for a total of11 years.
That story above sounds like STANBIC IBTC Bank. I want to believe her appointment was terminated as a result of performance after getting a NOT MET rating in the annual performance Appraisal exercise. The Bank places you on a Performance Improvement Plan for 3 months with double of your budget and if it is not met, your appointment is terminated.
After termination, nothing is paid to you and your salary for that month is used to pay down part of the loan. However, there is a JOB LOSS INSURANCE done on the loan, which mandates the insurance company to takeover the repayment of that loan, in the event of job loss.
Thank you. What type of loan is that please? Was it voluntarily applied for? Thanks. |

harbibi: Nothing wrong with it if thats his own hustle. Many responsible people abroad do menial jobs too and nobody looks down on them. imo its better than crime His is wrong on soooo many levels. He's carrying blocks, meaning that he's not even up to the mason, whose day pay is N3,500.00 (in the SE areas that I'm aware of). How much does it take to rent a limo and hire bodyguards? Does the income level match the lifestyle? Is it realistic? Back to the topic, I don't think the photos give a true representation of his current status. If you are an iron bender, you have no business carrying blocks. So it's just a photoshoot in my opinion. |
