Football has gone beyond what youre looking at.
The best that can come out for Inter is a draw over the 2 legs!
they will lose to the superior firepower of UTD, lose to our great defending acumen, lose to a visionary and tactically sound gaffer, lose to a team that is hungry of success, lose to a superior brand, lose to a team capable of slaughtering any team in the universe (maybe barcelona can be exempted) grin grin grin. . . .in short, no team aprt from lipsrsealed lipsrsealed can play us as at today 18th of February, 2009

Did someone actually discuss Calabar wit u? I mean in wat sense r u defining SECURITY? I lived in Calabar for three yrs n Benin Republique for one yr. U dare not go on d street of Calabar wit ur hand-bag or call it "personal belongings" after d night has fallen. or travel into calabar late. I mean tell me what u'l be doing on Calabar Streets by 10/11pm that u'ld not be macheted for just a handset (even if it's a cheap Nokia phone).

Did i also tell u that armed robbers do visit UNICAL"s hostels as well as staff quarters?
Pls re-phrase your posting or u visit University of Calabar Teaching Hospital for clarifications of the state of Security in Calabar.
Neither Abuja nor Calabar is safe. If u're still in doubt----try a walk in Abuja n give me feedback.

My dear, even a Small country like Benin Republique is secured. I can remember i used to get back to my hostel @ 1am, 2 or even 3am in Benin Rep.

We're simply insecured in this 9ja

"The situation is only at the extreme in Lagos"
a lot of red herrings already in this topic
9jas migrating to Ghana cos of what?
economic downturn, lack of security, falling bridges, egbesun kidnapping people or what is it sef?
cant u people stop hitting ur ketboards if u dont have anything to say

9ja is not safe hence people are leaving 9ja or what?
dont they snatch bags and personal belongings in South Africa? can you compare the level of insecurity to life and property as we have in Nigeria to SA? are people running away from SA?

my Sister got her handbag snatched at the schipol airport with all her travel documents and of course all documentations that has to do with rights of abode and stuvvs. Stuffs happen anywhere, be it New York, Baghdad or lagos!!
how many times have we heared of teenagers taking up guns and killing fellow students in the US?
recently, i saw a documentary on how teenagers attack unsuspecting victims with dangerous weapons in Liverpool/merseyside area.

i really wanna understand the context for this topic.
its baseless and untrue to me. (personal opinion)

Emperoh, Cristalz and Eastbay

cool if its based on this season's performance. then i can pick Giggs ahead of Riera and also carra ahead of Brown.
But wait o, Giggs has been superb this season playing from the middle so who plays on the left in our fantasy UTD/Pool 11?

ill go with Cristalz in picking Alonso ahead of Fletcher.

Emperoh
I really do not know who we are gonna play in the midfield but i think we need some strength in that area. Im gonna tip Fletcher to with Carrick/Giggs.
We need the passes to kill them off. You guys need to see how Fab4 nearly killed Viera with passes when he left Arsenal for Juventus.
Thats the kinda passes we need.

we are winning at the SIRO 2-1

Cristalz
4-0 a tall order?
lets wait and see

Emperoh
nice article
I actually got the european record thingy set by Dany verlinden of Club Brugge not Atletico madrid as u said. (1,390 minutes)

is Carragher playing as a RB better than Wes Brown? i dont actually think so but i may be wrong. Not taking anything away from carragher, i know hes good but ill prefer Brown as a RB

the midfield- i think any of Alonso or Masherano will easily bench our Fletcher. That i can stick my neck. how on earth will Fletcher be a better player ahead of masche and Alonso shocked I know javier hasnt been playing well this season but i'd prefer him to fletcher anytime anyday

and then we have Giggs ahead of Riera! Giggs has been hot this season so i'll let that slide
The attack looks ok with Rooney, Torres and CR7.
Summarily, its a nice write up and i agree with most of what is in there. I'll like such comparison with the Inter players and lets see what we'll get

Zlatan, maicon and who?

hello fans of the greatest football club on the planet.  i'm kinda new to this thread and i feel much relieved to link up with u guys. ive been a united fan since 1998(ironiacally, on a day we were defeated by B. Dortmund in a CL game).  what a totally awesome season we've had so far. Our players have been really spunky and we the fans have been incredible!!!, i'm already begining to see the possibility of a six trophy haul !!!(2 already in the bag).
, but then i honestly know that next week is going to be very important for us. That we make or mar our season. And i really hope our players will  be at their very best.  oh!, pls forgive my manners 4 not stating my name earlier.  you can call me SARAH TBAG or  just TBAG.  by the way, does anyone know if wazza is going to feature today against fulham?

Career › Re: Welcome To My Office by tkb417(m): 4:11pm On Feb 17, 2009
hey all,
well, I work in the telcos (GSM), been there since '01, and I'm now a senior member of the organization I work for.
In my office, I kind of have a really big team, managers and supervisors report to me, so I don't really have to do anything. I therefore spend my time observing the fray, the various physical exercises I mentioned in my ealier post. Then of course I jump into the fray.

Mostly I research and read books like 'the road to CEO', 'how to undermine your boss and contemporaries', 'the mafia manager', and other such 'evil' books. At my level, navigational skills seem to be more important than academic or professional skills, as I am beginning to find out. So I am busy with the re-education of moi, transforming into your typical average evil treacherous boss.

Right now, I'm out of the country attending a conference, so I don't have a day at work this week. But my typical day at work is spent attending meetings.

Meetings, meetings, and more meetings. Meetings I call, meetings called by others just to hear my honed oratorial skills, meetings we all use to display our latest tricks and schemes and generally rubbish ourselves before our expatriate bosses, who now proceed to fall our hand big time.

The really cool thing about this job be say I am still younger than the average guy at this level. Therefore it tickles me to no end when older guys I run into in the lift and around the office say 'oga' and 'sir'. I feel like taking them by the scruff of their neck and shaking them, screaming 'can't you see I'm just me?'. Ah, well,

Nowadays I get to fly first and business class on international trips, having spent a decade flying economy. Brothers and sisters no be mai mai o! VIP lounge access, no queues at ANY airport in the world, limo service, etc, etc. The first time wey I fly after getting the promotion, I no even sabi how the bed-seat dem dey work, how to arrange the wackies, so I just dey observe one oyinbo as he dey do everything. The guy obviously caught on, cos he kept grinning at me throughout the 8 hour flight. Na im sabi.

Got to run. I'm late for the first session of the conference I'm attending, as a result of excessive partying last night. Will be posting later. Ta!
so what you do is faff around as a boss?
do they pay you? what are they paying for?

did you say you work for a Telco?
your org needs some restructuring tongue
Career › Re: Engineering Vs Medicine "which Is More Challenging?" by tkb417(m): 4:06pm On Feb 17, 2009
Obviously na engineers post for this thread pass. I am ready to even bet, una neva comot school for more than 3 years. So the Stroud and Teraja still dey shack una.
I am an engineer and have been one for the past ten years. Studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering up to postgrad level.
Medicine is a lot more difficult than engineering. Unlike Engineering, it is a lifelong study, and it requires a lot more than mental aptitude. You need to have the mental aptitude of an engineer, and also be tough emotionally, physically fit, and you need to be courageous also. If any engineer go even argue this thing, no be Nigerian engineers. See as COREN and NSE dey helpless, no graduate engineer even send them. Can you say same about ICAN, for example?

Una no dey watch House? Lots of Nigerian doctors are not even making the grade, just visit any hospital and you'll know what I mean.
But even in Nigeria, doctors are researching and winning international awards. How many Nigeria-based engineers have ever won any international award? Come on. While we're at it, all the engineers in the house? what did you do your graduating project on? if na civil you do, you probably did a write up on some structure equations. If na mech, you built a grinding machine or something. If na elect, e go pass digital counter, digital this, and digital that? Most of the project sef una dey contract am out to some roadside technicians to build for una.

Globally, medicine is lifelong learning and training. Engineering is not. Una dey mix science and engineering. Engineering is just applications. Na the physicists and chemists dey make the discoveries. They are the researchers. In medicine you have to be the researcher yourself. You have to invent new ways of treating people. And medicine is far wider in specialization than engineering. Try this: in surgey alone, you have the general surgery, maxillofacial surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, etc, etc. Each of these require a lifetime of training, research and serious dedication.

I have a sister who's a doctor in the states, and I watch all the medical dramas a lot (House 1-4), ER, Grey's Anatomy, etc. I have lots of respect for doctors and what they do. It's a lifetime of dedication to study and saving lives. Engineering is good too, but it doesn't require that lifetime of commitment.
Besides, why do you think there's a Nobel Prize for medicine, physics, and chemistry, but not engineering?

ahn ahn
i cant believe this coming from an experienced engineer.

im printing this ur post for some engineers to read
