Obviously, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

The disadvantages are nothing that cannot be tackled if you use the right materials and excellent workmen. If properly installed with good flowmaster, there is no reason for water to over flow or for you to have a burst conduit pie. I have never had an over flow in the past 18 months I installed my tank. The key thing is proper installation and routine servicIng. Disadvantages are meant to be overcome

Yeah...I was at the exhibition today and it was okay. I didn't bother attending the seminars and panel sessions cos I didn't pay but the topics they are to cover seem quite enriching. Maybe next year I will afford it. Please any one in the house who attended and has materials should share.

Wow this is right inside the room? No privacy at all. I am not sure it will work for most people. If something like this is to be considered at all it has to be a shower enclosure but the WC is a no-no.

Here's what I'll be replicating for my master. The jack and Jill restroom will have shower (don't want the kids to be too comfortable so they don't want to move out) and the visitor will have just s shower too.

Skimanski I think has shown a great bathroom maybe you can search his thread.

Interesting concept. Yes Skimanaki does have some interesting bathrooms on his threads.

Shower trays, shower cubicles and bath tubs....which one is preferred these days. I am all for bespoke shower area design with fitted non aluminum tamper glass sliding or just doors.

Can any one post pictures of bath areas here? I suspect bath tubs will soon be relics of the past.

Some ante rooms I see are after thoughts.....when design creativity is absent and you don't know what to do with that extra space...either because you are already set on how other rooms in the house should be and their respective locations.

Do you approach conflict resolutions from 'my' or 'our' perspective?

Just discuss in an open, non judgemental way and be prepared to let common sense prevail. Usually, raised voices are distractions and puts both of you on defensive mode.

...and this last bit for guys, make sure the disagreement does not degenerate to malice, cold war, no speaking terms etc. because you are destined to lose this one. Its unfamiliar territory for you but its built into your spouse/partners DNA and you will most likely loose. Better you make your peace if you are wrong than be forced to eat the humble pie. Trust me!

@3Strike let me commend you publicly. You have done quite well since taking over this project despite not being a practitioner in this field. For its a big lesson on the things we can achieve in different fields once we set our mind to it.

space constrain is the main reason why the architect decide to make all the internal wall 150mm. The wall separating the two flat was changed to 225mm ( 9" at the site because of the intended load that it will carry from the roof.

Its based on the architectural drawing....The architect specified mainly 9" blocks for external walls and 6" for internal walls...

Yes the floor plan will help better understanding or you can just tell the house what is on the ground and first floors e.g. roons, etc.

Why are you not using 9" blocks or 6" blocks all the way? Any particular reason?
