My problem is not about Pastor Chris remarrying.

My problem is 'who' he married.  Agreed her first husband died.  But the second is very much alive undecided.

Anyway, only God can judge.

Just wish them a happy life.
So?  What correlation does that have to do with him remarrying?  If they're legally divorced (which I don't have any knowledge or fact about it), I don't see anything wrong in him remarrying.  And please don't hit me back with that  he's a"man of God" line cause that won't fly.  Bottom line is, he's human just as much as you are and as far as I'm concerned, we're all men and women of God o jare.  And yeah, like you said only baba God can judge.  Peace!

please just go to www.download.com

Actually, MS is still providing support for XP till late 2009.  I won't suggest to go rush and purchase a copy of Vista as MS plans to release Windows 7 late next year, which means Vista will soon be phased out as well.  Peace!

Jesu Christi!  Gongo don so o!  This one come pass battle of the planet o.  I know even know say this thread still dey so.  Look fellas make una take a chill pill cause last time I checked, the topic was Vista tweaks for optimal performance not Windows Vs. Linux.  Haba! make una take am sofry sofry now.  If Linux works for you, then by all means use Linux and if Windows is your cup of garri, use it.  There's really no need for all these heated debate about which OS is better.  Evidently, the die-hard fans of both OS won't admit that each one has it's own shortcomings.  Though I gotta give you some props oyb for standing your ground despite all the Linux bandwagoners (if there's such word) bashing Windows.

Abeg, all I was trying to do is help the average Vista user try to see other ways of obtaining maximum benefit for their money.  Again, in no way am I advocating Vista and as a matter of fact, the notebook I'm using to type this is running XP SP3.  Regardless of the OS you have, if you do not maintain (as in update and other system maintenance) your PC on a regular basis, you will always have problem on the long run (most of us know that).  Shebi na machine and machine sef get hin wear and tear cycle now.  Can't we all just get along.   grin grin  Peace!

Please someone help out here o.  What corelation exists between an immigration officer's task and physical fitness test?  I'm still trying to understand the purpose of the ridiculous fitness test they had these applicants go through.  Last time I checked an immigration officer is not required to take and pass a physical fitness exam but rather pass a physical examination.  And to have people run 12.4 miles in 20 minutes is not only ludicrous but suicidal!  Watch the sorry government not a say a darn word about this and nothing to the victims' families.  This is so so sad and pitiful of the government not making provisions for emergency services for these people.  Haba! which way naija!

No yawa!  I can understand your frustration with Windows if you're going Linux but noone can deny the fact that MS has the highest market-share of the OS worldwide.  Besides, I like to experience the best of both (or should I say multiple) worlds.  I have both Windows (XP) and Linux dual boot on my personal machine and I play around with Mac every now and then but the cost is just too ridiculous as stable as it is.  Anyway sha, the tips is for the Vista users and believe me there are people who love Vista as much as it somewhat sux.  Peace!

I must confess that my experiences with vista prompted me to return to Windows XP immediately. No matter how good your system requirements, vista is a very unstable platform. So i went for the next best thing. using my venerable XP service pack 2 with the Vista Transformation pack. Gives me the reliability of Windows XP and the cool looks of Windows Lonhorn. It's been smooth sailing since then. I bet you gurus just like having things difficult, abi?
Dude, your last statement was really uncalled for because in no way did I advocate the use of Vista.  All I did was just post my findings for the benefit of Vista users having used a Vista Workstation as a test machine at work myself.  And just so you know, I still run WINXP on my personal machine despite the fact that it came pre-installed with Vista.  So, your assumption as well as your conclusion is totally wrong.   Have a gr8 day!  Oh! by the way, you might want to update your venerable SP2 to SP3.  Peace!

Re: Why Is Nigerian Society So Damn Corrupt?
« #1 on: July 03, 2008, 06:15:19 PM »

I've been reading the US online News reports and all I see is loads and loads, and loads, and loads of articles on black-on-black crime, drug dealing, violence, baby mama syndrome or the high black drop out rates. I mean, like a good 30% of African american males are in jail. I'm tired of it.

Why in the hell can't them knuckleheads get their shit together with all those resources and talent amongst your white masters and your schools and neighbourhoods still haven't been developed in to being worth a shit more than providing the media and racists with yet more ammunition since the fucking days of slavery? Please, I want to know,  what the mess is the problem. Don't you know the world laughed at you when Katrina exposed your collective intellectual poverty? This is ridiculous, to have all that free potential and yet not achieve a got damn thing with it. LOSERS is what most folks would call such unproductive people.

Don't get me wrong here, I not trying to be hateful; I mean continental Africans need to step our game up too, though at least we've made extreme progress within the past few decades in getting many of our social ills under control.  Though African Americans as a whole seem like they're making no progress, and in actuality have gone backward. To have what you Americans have and yet be nothing more than unwanted appendages or mere cheap labor for a major world power like the US is just trifling ridiculous.

All that potential wasted. I can't even joke about this shit because it make me too angry to even think about it.   What the hell is it going to take to stop the rampant illiteracy holding you ex-slaves back; and save me the bullshit about white racism, because its like a colour-embedded mentality. Not all are mentally inept though a pretty damn large bunch are. You need like a complete re-engineering of you folks as a people.

ComputersRe: How Can I Clon A Computer by TmeD0(m): 3:48pm On Jul 08, 2008
samir101ng:
To my understanding, cloning a computer system simply means assembling different computer parts from different manufactures into a single system without a particular brand name behind it like HP, Sony, Dell etc. Here's a sample of a dream clone system which anybody would want :-

1. 15'' Samsung TFT LCD Monitor

2. Intel Core 2 Quadcore Processor 2.18 Ghz 12MB L2 Cache 1333 Mhz front side bus

3. Nvidia Geforce Gprahics Card with 1 GB RAm Video memory

4. Gigabyte Quadcore Motherboard

5. LG DVD-+RW Drive

6. 180 GB 7200rpm Seagate HDD

7. 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 325Mhz

8. A Beautiful Aquatic Blue or Gun Metal Black ATX casing.

9. Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.

10. US Robotics V.90 56k fax modem

11. A copy of Fedora Linux operating system

Voila ! Now that's one hell of a clone system. Its got a beautiful samsung lcd monitor for graphics, typing and playing intensive games like warcraft, half life

2, unreal tournament 2007 etc. Its got a big engine with the intel core quadcore processor 2.18Ghz with its gearbox 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM to go with it. A

Nvidia graphics card finishes off the job with stunning graphics and video playback. Its internet and network ready with its in built Gigabit ethernet lan

on the motherboard and the v.90 fax modem for dial up. And of course to round it up, it comes with the beautiful fedora Redhat linux operating system to

make it run as efficiently as possible without worrying about viruses and how slow the operating system is. I rest my case.
What you've just described above is not cloning but rather "building" a PC from the scratch.  From my understanding, cloning involves making an exact copy of something that's already in existence not something that you're planning on putting together like you described above.  Now, if only the poster can come back and give details of what he's trying to do, he might get the help he's looking for here. By the way, nice specs you have up there but I'd upgrade that memory to 3 gig since you seem to be an avid video game player. . . I presume it's something you built or planning on building.   Just my 2 kobo.  Peace!

erico2k2:
My dear friend, you are using misinformation on your request, now RAM= Randon Access Memory involves your Memory only not storage
I believe you are asking about your hard Drive HD,now what happened to you is that you got unpatitioned space in it, you have to reformat it and re-install windows, do you have the windows Xp Disk?, and do you know how to format and reinstall windows?,what is your RAM? i.e computer memory you know the flat chips you that plug in your motherboard, I shall upload pictures tell me what one you talking about Ok.
@erico2k2 uuh uuh, I think you're the one that's mistaken.  The guy clearly stated that he purchased 1GB RAM not a HD, which indicates that he knows what he's talking about.  FYI sir, you can't run or install WinXP with only 1GB HD(if you can find that)  space if you clearly understood the guy's posting.  Just thought I'd clear that up for you.  Oh, and the 'R" is Random (Ok, maybe na typo).  Peace!

No Nigerian Citizenship For British By Marriage
« on: July 02, 2008, 10:27:05 AM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear All,
I was shocked today by the response from the Nigerian Embassy London by 15:57(02/07/08) that there is no provision for citizenship for any British by marriage.
I am married to an English girl and she loves Nigeria so much and want to be a Citizen but was shocked when we were told that she can't get Nigerian citizenship notwitstanding that we are  married and I hold dual citizenship.
Could this be a reality- I am entitled to dual citizenship -British by the virtue of marriage  and Nigerian by birth but my wife is not entitled to Nigerian citizenship on the same basis(Marriage)Guys abeg I need some info as I don't know what and how to go about this,
=====================================================================================================

Oga, in as much as I have no qualms with you trying to get naija citizenship for your wife, I think your statement above clearly reveals your ignorance (no offense) of immigration laws.  I believe you were granted British citizenship via naturalization not only because you were and stayed married to a British citizen but because you've permanently resided, abode by their laws and met other specified criteria to qualify for naturalization.  I don't think visiting naija multiple times a year qualifies as permanently residing in the country the last time I checked.  As a result, that makes your wife ineligible for naija citizenship because neither of you permanently reside in naija.  Also, just like someone pointed out, you have to clearly demonstrate (in this case, your wife) genuine and vested interest in the country i.e. reside there, contribute to the economy and so on.  And since you have no way of proving that, I'm afraid the naija consulate have the right to deny your wife naija citizenship.

If I were you, rather than wasting time here ranting, I would start researching the criteria to be met and ways to meet them.  Perhaps, you don't have the intent to stay in naija (I won't blame u though) but trying to claim the right of citizenship for your wife solely on marriage to you won't cut it.  And to those of you here just spitting venom, na una sabi.  As if say if una get chance waka comot naija now, una no go waka wey una dey preach that patriotism bologna (hisses), yeye hypocrites like una!  Abeg, make una carry go o jare!  Peace!

ComputersRe: Help With Blue Screen! by TmeD0(m): 11:07pm On Jun 28, 2008
@poster, at this point one can't really pin-point the culprit of the problem.  What you need to do is post the stop error message you see on the "blue screen of death" just like Maleeq stated.  All the responses given thus far are only speculations, which could be possible too.  I noticed you said you're presented with windows boot menu options. You did the right thing selecting "Last known good, "  However, since that still takes you to the BSOD, I'd suggest you go into safe mode with networking and update your anti-virus/anti-spyware software (if it'll let you into safe mode though) and reboot after the update.  Then go back again but this time, in safe mode (without networking) and run a deep scan on your system to eliminate the possibility of a virus on your PC.  Post the stop error code here and let's see what you might be up against.  Good luck.  Peace!
ComputersRe: My Computer Shows "blue Screen" - What Do I Do? by TmeD0(m): 10:53pm On Jun 28, 2008
Dude, before you reinstall your OS, which I won't suggest you do at this point consider trying to repair Windows first using your WIN XP CD.  If that doesn't work, see if you can recover your data from the HD by making it a slave drive on another PC.  And if that still doesn't work in retrieving your data, then I'm afraid your next option is the reinstall your entire OS.  I would try repairing Windows first cause if it's booting all the way to the Windows' splash screen like you stated, you might still be able to repair it.  In future, you might want to consider backing up your important data quite often (preferably on an external drive).  Good luck.  Peace!

Ask yourself, what's the motivation for people wanting to be beta testers for your relatively unknown AV product. And why do you think they want to go through the rigmarole of registration (which would possibly incur some spamming afterwards).

You could have taken a better step by giving some background on the project effort that led to your AV, the vision behind it, what you have done so far - and afterwards offer a link to whoever wants to try this out. In that way you'll get people to see where you're coming from, where you're going.

Click an an email attachment that is meant to be a newly developed antivirus - hell no. How the heck am I sure it's not a virus.

Think. There are better ways to create awareness about your software development efforts than this.  Or is this just another traffic-generating gimmick for your blogsite. huh ???
Lol! Possibly.  grin

The only time that occurs is if you're using an onboard video card just like dnative stated.  However, if you install a dedicated video card that already has it's own memory, the memory will not be shared with the system memory.  In this case, you will be using your full system memory and it will clearly show you in systems properties.  Peace!
