D-reloaded:Ehn! reló baby, you don't know the United States of Ijebu-Igbo? Oh lord my God, oh God my lord! O ma se o! In fat (infact), I am very emotionally affected right now but I will forgive you because you are an omo ele . Now, allow baba-ijebu to "knowledgify" you. Ijebu-Igbo is a town in Ogun state, north of Ijebu-Ode (please tell me you've heard of Ijebu-Ode). In Ijebu-Igbo, we have a king for each of our five clans (as if most Yoruba kingdoms don't) namely: Ojowo, Atikori, Oke Agbo, Oke Sopin and Japara with the head of the Oke Sopin clan as the overall head, next to the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo. There's a college called Molusi College named after that. According to history, the founder of Ijebu-Igbo was the son of the founder of Ijebu-Ode and he was a hunter. He used to hunt in the northern part of Ijebu-Ode. After the death of his father he lost the throne to his younger brother supposedly while he went hunting. As a result, he migrated to the northern part of Ijebu-Ode, which is now known as Ijebu-Igbo. Anymore "qweshon" reló baby, direct it at baba-ijebu So, wetin be ya 080? Let me stop-- I'm just kidding. But I jisoro you sha ![]() |

Chei! I can't believe I read every single post on this thread. While some were very funny, some were very insightful, and some were--well, interesting. In as much as I thought the poster's initial use of the word "intelligent" rather than "intelligence" could have been a typo, I have come to the conclusion that our dear poster is not only conceited but finds it hard to differentiate between the noun "intelligence" and the adjective "intelligent." Indeed, no-one is perfect but the least we can do is strive towards perfection. I do agree with those that argue on here that the English Language is not our native language. On the other hand, the fact that the language is not our native language does not preclude us from learning (which should be a life-long process by the way). Mr. Ayo, you might be a logical individual but the impression you've left thus far is of one with little or no intelligence. Maybe, just maybe if you refrain from using too many complex words and sentences and just keep it simple, you might be able get your point across. Like I stated earlier, you might be a logical thinker but try not to always see things your way and consider other people's perspective. You really came across as a conceited, unintelligent slowpoke, just my observation. Peace! Ok, enuf of d grammar o jare, ehn by the way, reloaded, omo to lewa, wo mo n jisoro e o. girl, u r so hot, hot, hot! u need to holla at baba ijebu o, iwo omo ele yi Wo, LadyT ehn, your face look similar o (not familiar). i tenk i sabi u from somewhere but sha u fit be somebody else, won ti ni eyan meji ni oluwa da saye. orright, baba ijebu out of here. ![]() |

Abeg mind yourself o; respect yourself o Back to the order of the day, Modups! baby, to tell the truth deep down in my heart I knew our team had serious issues but the spirit of patriotism won't let me dug them now. The fact of the matter be say, NFA is the root of all Naija's soccer woes. Anyway sha, let's hope a big lesson was learned here before 2010 (which I doubt). I'm still reserving my comments Modups! doyindamus Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? « #522 on: February 03, 2008, 09:01 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORTHY MENTION TO SHITTU ABEG. . . THE BOY TRY. AND I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO BE A LIABILITY ASSUMING OSAZE HAD PASSED THAT BALL TO HIM ONE TIME RATHER THAN GO FOR THE RED CARD IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. Exactly! That was the first thing I said too when I saw the highlights. The other guy was wide open all by himself. |
toshmann:Amen to that o jare! |
Modups!:Modups! baby u're still doubting heh? Ok, I'm reserving my comments for now. ![]() |
OldSYNC:All una naysayers, i hope these guys prove una wrong on Sunday! Peace!

Modups!:Modups! Peace! |
Modups!:Modups! Modups! Ok, I have to give you credit for at least showing face even though the others are nowhere to be found. Yes, I do agree it was a bit of a struggle but it was a big improvement from their previous game. I still think their game against Ivory Coast was their best performance thus far despite the loss. I think with time, the boys will blend better and score more goals. Though Sunday's match is probably going to be their toughest ever cause they're playing the host country that happens to be a very good team as well. Nonetheless, every good team always have one or two weaknesses and if our boys can go over Ghana's previous matches, they might be able to find those weaknesses and exploit it on Sunday. Let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers cause they will need it as they will be playing against the entire Ghana populace. Pray for them o Modupe! Peace! |
babycool:I just saw your post now and I'm glad at least one person see things the way I see it. Tell dem jare babycoool, na hypocrisy go come kick in when our baba eagles dem go further for dis competition. By the way sef, i never see any of the emotional pple come back come post here sef, i go still dey wait. Peace! |
Modups!:Modupe! (i know it's Modups) and all the emotional people on here, now what do you have to say after their performance against Benin. How have we been humiliated? Oh, because we lost to Ivory Coast and played a goalless draw with Mali means we've been humiliated? One thing everyone (the emotional naijas on here) seem to keep forgetting is that Nigeria is not the only good team in this competition; can we be the best? certainly! But let's not quick to start chastising these guys because it could have been worse. At least give them credit for not conceding too many goals. Could they have done better? Certainly but chastising and making a mockery out of them will not help solve the problem but rather add to it. Mistakes were made during their previous matches, it is their responsibility now to go back and correct those mistakes so it doesn't happen again. I think it's hightime we naija fans need to put our emotions aside temporarily and objectively analyze the matches logically. Just my own personal opinion. No matter what happens, up Eagles anyday sha! Peace! |
Uche2nna (m) USA Posts: 3718 Offline Re: Berti Vogts Must Go? « #14 on: January 25, 2008, 11:10 PM » Of course, Berti Vogts knows he is leaving. That one is a guarantee. The NFA will be happy to find a scape goat nto cover their ineptitude and greed. But the question remains, what next. Firing Berti does it actually solve the problem. We got beaten by Cameroon twice in two different nations cup (one in our backyard). Was Vogts the coach then? We never got to the last world cup because of Angola. ANGOLA!!!!! omg. Was it Vogts then? Japan/Korea world cup was a disaster . Again , no Vogts then? Our local league is in complete shambles. Certainly not Vogts. The common denominator that has remained from one disaster to another is the adminisrtation. Call it the NFA, Sports ministry or the League board. That is where our major problem lies. Not the coaches and definitely not due to a lack of talent in the nation. If a coach like Westerhoff can win the ANC with the super eagles and his assistant Bonfrere can win the Olympic gold , it tells me that any coach in Nigeria can succeed in Nigeria. We are that good. All we need is just to figure out how to administer properly. I couldn't agree more! Well said Uche, seem to be the only reasonable person here thus far. I just didn't bother to read the rest of the post because most of the posters were just making comments based on their emotions and not thinking rationally. Like I said, I didn't read the rest of the posts but if there's anyone that came close to Uche's analysis, sorry I missed your post. Bottomline is, the players and coaches are not the problem. The administration has always been the problem! There is no doggone reason why Nigeria shouldn't have reached at least the semi-final or final stages of the World Cup by now. Until the NFA politics is eradicated, we will never go farther with the senior team. Peace! |
Haba my people, make un a give these guys a chance now. You all seem to forget that the other teams in this competition are equally as good as our boys. The competition is entirely different from how it used to be say 10 years ago. Make una coolu temper small now wey una don dey call for the coach head and disband the team, whatever happened to patrioticism. Ok, tell me if Egypt had fired their coach and disbanded the team long time ago when they were doing bad, would they be as good as they are today? That's the problem with us Nigerians. We always expect things to go our way all the time but we seem to forget the fact that the world is changing and everyone is cathching on real fast. Personally, I think these guys played very well against Ivory Coast but were just unfortunate not to score a goal. Though only a miracle will save us from elimination depending on Ivory Coast not settling for a goaless draw, which I think they probably would just to be spiteful and get us out of the competition. Anyway sha, win or lose, I think we should still support our team no matter the outcome rather than ridicule them. That's why I love the united States; they support their teams regardless of the situation. God Bless the USA! God Bless Naija! Peace! |

sect:Thanks sect but I have to give props to the up-loaders of his videos on youtube; I just merely put them together for easy access on here. No doubt that guy is very talented and under-rated presently. His videos' concepts clearly beats tubaba's hands down without a doubt! Don't get me wrong y'all I like both of them but I just find faze's lyrics very deep and thoughtful. Just my own personal opinion, chikena! Peace! |

wealthyman:Abi o, abeg help me tell am o. "infat" i hear say kenny rogers go make special appearance for the video sef. |
9ja4eva:ROFL ![]() @poster: Ol' boy e go look good if to say u fit cite your source of this rumor (coughs) info. |
simibrazil:Let me guess Simi, your boyfriend gave you that name and he is Yoruba. Am I correct? Ok, here's what I can infer from your remarks above. Firstly, if your man is Yoruba, I don't recall anywhere in Yoruba tradition that states that if the eldest son marries out of their tribe, the whole family will die. That in Yoruba is called "Odu" meaning a fabricated story. Secondly, if your oga no wan marry you after 4 years of courtship, then something isn't right. I'm not going to speculate but there are tons of possibility why your oga is not too eager to tie the knots. My advice? Consider talking to him and if he still insisting on not marrying you, maybe it's time to move on. Things might look good now but believe me just like Leilah stated, you will never be a Nigerian in the eyes of his family members. On the other hand, it might depend on how receptive the family is. Best of luck to you. Peace! |
