@Jcob,

Interesting, especially the "give me 3 seconds part"
We should have a discussion soon, we might have similar ideas although i am more interested in online ads,
in 2 ways

1) developing & creating the content for the online ads (not the usual dead body ads, nigerian firms are associated with online)
2) placing this ads on websites visited by nigerians and soon africans in general

any way to contact you outside here??

@Jcob,
any pointers on which medium the digital ads will get to the public?, becos, i am interested in creating online ads for companies in the nearest future, any intergration with you?

@Topic,
When you get a project planner to a very technical meeting, he gets very bored and starts wishing, he actually stayed at home today to watch HITV, lol
Still a bit slow at the firm but i expect it to enter overdrive from next month

Well, my 2 cents here

If its company sponsored and you do not see yourself leaving the compoany any time soon, then you have nothing to lose by getting this degree,

Do you have a previous MSc??, if you dont, its an opportunity to get some letters with your name

and the good book says no Knowledge is lost so i think it will be a win - win situation to undergo the course
Business / Re: Will Sanusi Liquidate Any Of The Rescued Banks by Tmoni(m): 1:55pm On Feb 19, 2010
@Poster,

By funds, do u mean cash deposits in the affected banks or stock holding in this banks?
Well, CBN guaranteed that no deposit holder will lose their funds so thats all we have to contend with, also NDIC insures you up to a certain limit (cant remember now),

Personally, i think it will be throwing the baby out with the bath water if SLS liquidates the banks, most likely i think we might see a senario where this banks are acquired by other financial institutions including all assets and liabilities,

So, i would advise your friend that if its deposits he has in these banks and he is very much uncertain about the future then he prolly has to come to naija to move them to other banks,

@doctor
the jury is still out on SLS, if these whole banking stuff ends as it stands now, we will award him a huge F9

decent letter, i am awaiting my drink when you get the job
theres also AMEC, although i am not sure if they deal in the Power sector in Naija sha, u can check them out

@debosky
its called the Myer-Briggs personality index, it tells which kind of person you are, i.e Sensing, Facilitation, Thinking, Introvert, Extrovert etc

We did it when i was in Uni and trust Naija boys, we came out strong in all traits and the lecturer (oyinbo) was like "Its a bit odd for people to have all the traits together strongly", wetin concern boys, we just wanted to go home!!!!

Nice one on getting ur stuff done "in time" when you have to collate info from other departments, its always a pain in the ass especially in my area where i have to send the info to the client for approval before commercial guys can send an invoice,

@General
I saw Andy Cole on NTA (AM Express) today with some Glo guy, some promo for the sponsorship deal between Man Utd and Glo
I would have though Funmi Iyanda would have done that interview, is she no more the main Presenter on that programme?
The lady who did the interview is a "VERY BIG ERRRMMMER"
She errrmms every 2 words!!!, I wonder what poor Andy was thinking about

@Topic, today is a slow day at the shop
meetings and more meetings (pls i never reach my oga Ajanle level ooo, someday sha)

I have been really thinking of buying a nigerian owned website (not nairaland though)

I think the guy is "under running" the site, it should able to generate more revenue and I would like to change the structure, i am generally okay with the content although it could do with a better font & more information

I know a lot of guys in the Uk who visit the site so a quick generation of revenue will be the likes of Lebara, western union, GTB but the guy only gets sparse adverts from some naija companies, well, we will see

@ Mr Crackles,

its a project with "Grid", due to blah blah blah concerns i cant state the full name of the project

Meanwhile. i went by one of your offices at Byfleet & New Haw some weeks back, was going to drop by and ask for Mr Crackles, lol

Hello Peeps,

slow day here at the office, but

I just dey on my own and one indian gal (the cleaner) wan put sand inside my garri ooo
She went to report that i swore at her when i was busy trying to get something out the door albeit late in the day (8.00pm)
I was very angry becos i tried to apologize to the same gal for staying late, not knowning she went to tell tales against me

Not a very bright start to the day but hey, we thank God, it has been sorted

Last week,
sort of bittersweet

I finished my share of the work and i think the client is ok with it , wink, Got some "Attaboys"

but unfortunately, a member of my team was shown the exit door, sad sad,
project sponsor not liking his quality of work, and he was the only other "dudu" with me
and we are only 4 weeks into a potential 2 year contract, men i fear weather ooo

It just made me realise that working as a contract staff is high risk, high reward, every penny has to be kept in savings cos u can be booted at any time,

God dey sha, we will do our best and hopefully, it will get us far across the finish line

Meanwhile, Glory Glory Man United, And the Reds, keep marching ON ON ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but he just got another loan with standard chartered,

1) did he get more favourable terms for the Standard chartered loan (interest rates)

2) is it a matter of using another banks money to pay another bank

3) What is the fuss about him making the repayment early or not, (did he plan not to pay the money initially)

4) As an industralist, he should have been able to use that money in another sector of his business (maybe yes, maybe no)

Surprised to see the new designate who has not really been in the media prior to now (i stand to be corrected)
Anybody with inside gist??

I hope this guy will not be like Tony in the area of (Exceptional Items) and i think they should put the brakes on the African Conquest, this should be time for bolstering balance sheets,

Kpele ooo Tollu,
The Good Lord will be your strenght

Naija police are the worst of the ilk, very very incompetent bastardos

Stab in the dark here but me thinks, Ajanlekoko is currently is Malaysia (Petronas tower, flat face peeps, 7hrs time diff, malaysia-truly asia) , then would proceed to China (maybe a Huawei deal, mouth moving faster than speech in movies), then travel to Dubai (recent wahala on the Nakheel bond), I can almost guess where you work now,

You do not have to confirm the above hypothesis,

@Topic,

Man, its manic here ooooo

so if some time and N2m will increase my network (hopefully, appropriately), i will pursue it
