Properties / Cost Of A 3 Bedroom Flat Or 4 Bedroom House In Lekki by Tmoni(m): 10:05am On Nov 10, 2013 |
Hello All, As we thank God for seeing us through to this date and start to make plans for next year. I am asking everyone due to lack of information on the internet, What is the cost of a 3 bedroom flat ( sale not rent), my preference would be in Lekki? and also a place like 1004 but definitely not 1004. When i was Nigeria earlier this year, i saw some flats from the Lekki expressway, i heard it was being developed by either GTB or UPDC (not too sure) but you get the gist of the type of flats i am looking to buy. Secondly, i would also appreciate cost of 4 bed houses (Northern foreshore, friends colony) are examples of the areas i am interested in Thanks alot as i await your responses |

@tkb and all 13 month peeps, do not forget us ooo @debosky, we still never arrange our outing oo, make we chop Dudley money small @AJ, oga, dnt forget us in your travels, @topic, I am working this weekend as usual but i just recently recruited an assistant, first time for me to be on the other side of the recruitment wall ie The Interviewer, A naija came and i felt for him because he did not answer any of the questions properly and at some point had to ask me if i was listening to him (confession, i was thinking of naija and the mrs and he was talking beans) so to cut the long story, i have settled for a lady who has 15 years experience and she will be my assistant, (i got about 5) it makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable but i hope it works and i also learn from her I am going to naija soon and no work for a whole month I also want to go to the calabar carnival maybe on the 26 or 27, whats the best network to use in naija, mtn or vmobile (dat was the name i knew) or glo, |

Bharti Airtel bought Zains African operations I do not know how they operate in India but they seem like decent operators and cost of calls are predominantly low in India Just to inform you, if it was not for the South African government, MTN and Airtel would have merged together so it might have been an MTN name change So chin up guys and enjoy every freebee promo, they offer this yuletide season |
Business / Re: Russia To Construct Nigeria’s Nuclear Power Plants by Tmoni(m): 12:47pm On Nov 19, 2010 |
I am in total support of generating electricity through nuclear power It is a clean and viable method, if managed properly Although rather than a Russian company, I will suggest we disccus with Areva & Westinghouse (French & Japanese owned American company). these are experts in nuclear technology. I believe it will also work well if the nuclear plant is situated in a relatively stable state like Ogun state which also has access to flowing water, to cool the reactors, Security on the site will be fortified and maintenance will be initially udertaken by "expatriates" and later taken over by Nigerians. It should also be a Private Public Partnership programme hence, it will be better managed, provide employement and boost the GDP of the country |

Career / Re: Welcome To My Office by Tmoni(m): 8:59pm On Nov 09, 2010 |
@ all, thanks for your responses and as mormal it has lead to other questions 1. If you say N10m per annum is approx 600k per month, then wats the tax status/ percentage in nigeria 2. It looks like i am selling myself short oo, to get N1m per month, how much per annum is that 3. I really belive in the other means of money dats the real reason i want to move back to naija, i am sure by month 9 my salary will go towards capital projects @topic, spent the whole day on site today in scotland omo, scotland cold ooo and my sites are in the middle of nowhere, i hope u do not get pneumonia when i finish looks like i may go down south sooner sha I am in one of those oyinbo only towns, no dudu here I recently got an sutomatic car at home and up here i have a rented manual, omo, me and gear 1 dey battle every day, gosh i shld neva have gone auto!!! |

Hello peeps, Congrats to tkb, dont forget us Congrats also to cecegorz, as per the eardrum thingy, mine clears off when i pinch my nose and blow, i think that makes the pressure in your ears adjust to cabin pressure (not sure though) @Topic Afta almost 8 months of design, time to build, we have found out that so many things have to be "re-designed", see early warning notice flying left, right & centre, We have been working non-stop to get the stuff up to speed and I am hoping our programme has adequate float I seriously doubt us meeting our "drop dead" date and we got massive liquidated damages, may next year will be an interesting month to say the least, suppose to see accountant sometime this month for VAT returns and possibly profit accrued for the year, i am soo scared the guy might say all the remaining money for bank na for "mama charlie", chai, i will just run back offtopic was asking around with regards to getting a mortgage in naija and the interest rates are unbelievable, even the tenure is kinda limited I know UBA used to have this Non Resident Nigerians stuff, anybody got any idea or a better deal with regards to mortgages |

Hello people, Project is moving into Procurement and Construction phase, and with all the wahala we had in Design, I am not really looking forward to this phase because this is when the site boys and buyers come together on our head and more than often rip out a lot of "fancy" design elements for cost purposes or value engineering, We have been working 7 days shift for the past 2 weeks, even into the night, Boss just sent email, one of our subbies has gone on hols without informing me (am their first line of contact), someone's head will be my breakfast tommorow morning We get to agree construction schedules & cost this week with client and partner companies, some "raised eyebrows" and intense negotiations involved. Will be living from suitcse this week, I supose find Okpeke to accompany me I am thinking of doing a course in Cost Engineering in order to progress as a Project Controls or Project Services @tkb417, City boys dey only go slow after hitting a certain target, come share small with us here, meanwhile, we suppose all go OT together someday, me, you, chamotex, @debosky, since you moving into my zones now, lets organise a meet and drink,,,,,did not get to exchange contact details @ the do Wish you all a nice week!!! |

Career / Re: Welcome To My Office by Tmoni(m): 1:13pm On Sep 09, 2010 |
@Thread, hello everybody, normal work on going here except some devil brother guy who does not want to approve our design, he has been doing "shakara" for us, now he is surprised that his companies directors are leaning on him they told him that if he does not approve it by friday, he should not bother coming in to work on monday. power pass power as usual with all EPC jobs, when your work moves from design to construction, another basket case opens up @netose, the stuff the guy is holding us on is with regards to electrical ooo, impedence, supply fault current, drop volt calculations, switch gear, earthing etc, my head wan scatter, i feel like telling them that i get homeboy for nairaland wey fit run this calculations yes. Linked in will be good for you at this stage, you will make contacts and see people who might inspire yoy i.e with their CVs or job spec lets yarn ODS sometime soon @all, is anybody a member of PMI here and if you are, will you be attending the Global Congress next month in washington Will be nice to know somebody before you meet other people there |
