obailala:
Even if Apostle Paul is the APC flagbearer, your type will typically still vote GEJ. So please spare us your 'No Buhari' gospel.

If you must know why GMB is the flagbearer, it is for political expediency. Even if Osinbajo is as wise and intelligent as King Solomon in the Bible, he will not be able to win an election in Nigeria because he is not known. The 'face' of Buhari alone is capable of gathering over 10million votes in the north and that is where political expediency comes in. Remember, before any campaign promises or change can be fulfilled, the first step is to win the election.

Furthermore, no matter how intelligent or wise or upright people like Osinbajo or Fashola may be, they may not be able to dislodge the evil cabals in NNPC, NEPA etc who are holding the country down. The face of a no-nonsense general like GMB might just be what is needed to instil fear in the hearts of these cabals. To bring the required change in a country like Nigeria, it requires not just intelligence and wisdom, but also the presence of a 'Hardliner' at the top.

From his past antecedents, Buhari gives his deputies the freedom to function freely. Buhari's previous leadership in 80's was driven mainly by his deputy (Tunde Idiagbon). From the look of things, if APC wins in 2015, I forsee Osinbajo being the defacto Nigerian president while Buhari remains only a figure head. For this reason, I have closely followed Osinbajo's candidacy and what I see in him looks very positive and promising.

GOD BLESS YOU FOREVER!

Only a mad man will keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. 15 years of PDP and 6 years of GEJ has taken Nigeria decades backward.
Its took UAE( dubai, abu dhabi) almost the same number of years to transform from a barren dessert to what it is today.

NIGERIANS SHOULD WAKE UP!

GOOD GOVERNANCE IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE...

VOTE FOR CHANGE!

If Nigeria is ever going to get it right, If Nigeria is ever going to be good and if She is ever going to emerge as a great nation, now is the time.

APC has assembled the best team for the Federal level such as never been seen before.

The rest depend on the electorates.

There are thousands of Nigeria youths languishing in prison abroad and many more in slavery. Talk less of millions suffering in abject poverty on Nigeria soil.

Things need to change and things has to change.

Buhari/ Osinbajo to me are simply the best that Nigerians need at this crucial time.

Thy have got good track records.

They are people we can trust. They are capable of making Nigeria the Dubai of Africa.

My fellòw Nigerians, if you missed the opportunity of voting in this team come 2015, it's going to be a costly mistake.

We have waited long enough for a deliverer. Its now left to you whether you are going to crucify them or vote them in as your leaders.

If you fail to seize this opportunity, the horse whip of PDP will continue to beat you real hard.

We definitely need a change come 2015.

It really makes me sad to see that Nigerians have succumbed to mediocrity even in the face of glaring incompetence/corruption of PDP Goverment.
To make Nigeria paradise on earth is not rocket science. 15 years is enough time for any party to proof its worth and 6 years is more than enough for any government to show commitment to life/wellbeing of its people. Its sad that this people in federal goverment today are so cold hearted to close there eye to the deaths, suffering and poverty that has become common place in the nigerian society while they loot the resources of the country without conscience.
We cannot keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result. If you love Nigeria you will want a change for the better...we cant afford to settle for less for the sake of ourselves and generations to come.
NOW is the time for Change!!!

Two observations for me:

1 It really doesnt cost much to touch peoples lives...its only takes a compassionate heart.

2 Show your children how to be compassionate...this mans child was not selfish but she thought about all the other kids in school.

I personally give more credit to this mans child for not being selfish!!!

1 FORGIVE FORGIVE AND FORGIVE(its a must for a christian... this helps you and the state of your heart with God. Not beacuse she asked for it but because that what Jesus told you to do ALWAYS)

2 BE GENTLE AS A DOVE but AS WISE AS A SERPENT!!!(is it when you caught her that she suddenly realised its a mistake? she has always known what shes doing is wrong and she went with it anyway with almost pretence and secrecy...dont be fooled she totally aware of her actions and the consequences before she even started...but she didnt seem to care. Bottom line is that it takes the same guts and effontery to do you harm...every adult is responsible for there actions. Influence or no influence and the fact that she even did it with a priest show you the level of conspiracy against you.)

aariwa: why should any sensible person pay attention to this phulish second class citizen of australia OP

Unfortunately a 3rd class citizen of Australia is "better" than the 1st class citizen of Nigeria.(at least taken care of and treated better)

Everybody attacks the person of Jenny but the salient points of are post lingers undenied. As nigerians, i guess we are so used to talking about everything else but the problem and necessary course of action to fix the problem.

Jenny sure has her was of making her point(which some might find offensive), but i will rather focus on the points she has raised.

I definitely understand her disgust...because i feel that almost everyday(for the love of the fatherland where he should have been if not for mismanagement and peoples orientations).

As for me, its unfortunate that The Nation Nigerian is not even on the part of getting better. Citizens of Egypt, syria and those nations are the ones that are passionate about change but nigerians are constantly insulted by its political leaders everyday and we look on(e.g yerimas case, pardon of alams etc). i honest wish things are going in the right direction, but it doesnt seem it is...

Most Nigerians here are top professionals here and most dont even have the plan of coming back to nigeria(i find this very disheartening tho) just because this aint looking good for them and there childrens future.

Things can change direction only if NID and NIN genuinely work together and face nigerian issues head-on(which i think its leadership and followership orientations). We all need adopt a drastic approach to turn things around from it current course...

God made us citizens of Nigeria (both NIN and NID) for a reason... we need to all stand up and ACT for a Good Nigeria!

STUNTS007: @T.moni, thanks for opening dis thread .I hope to be in Melbourne dis July.I just got a grant on my visa application.

A few questions to ask pls, How easy/Hard is it to secure a job in Bundoora,Melbourne??.My school is La trobe University Victoria.

Wats d general experience for a newbie and for a Naija boi wat kinda cultural shock should one expect ?

Thankz and hope to get a reply .
I will dare say that melbourne is a very nice place and you can get a job easily if youre very positive about it. you should know that people have different stories to tell but i will alway suggest you do listen to the bad ones. i will also say that you school open your mind to start up small while you get into the system if possible...once your experienced in the australian work environment.. work will start to chase you. Not having an australian local experience is usually the greats first hurdle to cross. if possible, do a quick short course.
concerning cultural shock...bros youve got to loose all your naija mentality if youve got one...nobody dey look you for here o so no laulau at all. Australian are generally nice and friendly but not without a few exeptions here and dere.

Above all be positive!

Yes they are generally friendly and australia is avery multicultural society. There are lots of jobs but demand for local experience is usually a hurdle to cross. but your got to keep your head high and show the stuff youre made of when the oppotunity comes as they ultimately after what you can deliver and not qualifications as we are used to. I can say there are loads of oppotunities depending on what you wanna do and i will advise you keep an open mind to explore.
Ultimately....have faith!

Omoakin84: Am a student applicant for the australian visa, please does anyone know what it means for the visa case officer to require one to have a medical and how long can this process takes from the time of the medical
I means youre almost done and almost getting your visa...this is the last hurdle in the visa process. The time it takes after you submit your medical varies based on the level of assessment that need to be done on it. you shld be look at between 2weeks to 2 months on the average.

Nwokenna: finally I get to ask some questions and am hoping to get through with very nice answers. Hi every one my name is Michael a medical radiographer here in Nigeria. as at 6th of may I got invited to apply under the SkillSelect Australia migration program. after having completed my IELTS and course evaluation from my parent body in Aussie. but on going through the security clearance form requirement I saw a place where m required to provide an address of the place I will be staying in Aussie but honestly speaking I dont knw anybody nor any address in Aussie. I will like to plead with my guys over there to help me with this via my e-mail and I guess they will also be contacted by the immigration authorities. please can we discuss further on this on michaelabosi56@yahoo.com.thanks people
Since your applying for a skilled migrant visa i think just filling in the city will be sufficient as they know your not visiting but coming to stay.
As you have been invited to apply...you shld get your visa in less than 4 months. Congrats in advance!

nelsono: Am a potential Graduate Student in University of Melbourne, come July 2013. Where can one find a cheap accommodation in Melbourne, where a student (like i will soon be) live and commute to school.

Also which airline has the cheapest fare to Melbourne?

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks
University of melbourne is in the city(CBD) so you should be looking as a shared accomodation around the city which is more expensive than going to SE or Western surburbs. The transportation system in melbourne is very good...trains...trams...buses.

You can either do qatar or emirate but i think qatar is slightly cheaper.

You dont need a trasit visa...you will be transfered to a melbourne bound plane in Doha. Just prepare for the jolly ride from doha to melbourne. You will enjoy the experience on that leg but its gonna be a long one(around 13hrs).
