mekussa: DICON? Good COMMAND ENGINEERING DEPOT? Good SUPER GREEN SECURITY SERVICES LTD? What are they doing on an MOU to produce hardware?
I searched online for information on the company and the only results are the reports of this MOU. No facebook account and their Twitter account lists them to be a private security company that provides security, escort and training services to individuals and corporate bodies. No mention of ANY PRODUCTION or MANUFACTURING experience ANYWHERE.
Sha, this headache now belongs to whoever signed an equipment production MOU with them. Same thing with the company training army S.F recently, no history at all....its like they fell from heaven, makes me to start wondering if our generals are not the ones forming this companies to provide services that they feel the military is lacking . |

timay: US sanctions are becoming useless day after day. Everyone is now calling the bluff of Uncle Sam and giving no f**ks Weapons deals with Russia sanctions, by USA is the reason our remaining mi35 m haven't been delivered, India disregarded the USA and got their weapons from Russia, Egypt is doing the same.....I think Nigeria is been a good boy, so our super tucano would be delivered, and then get the remaining mi35m...this international politics is really something else, it also a proof that self sufficient is a must, we are in a state of war on multiple fronts and see what we are dealing with. |

timay: US sanctions are becoming useless day after day. Everyone is now calling the bluff of Uncle Sam and giving no f**ks I must say, Egypt getting both the rafale and su35 is a master stroke...especially if the rafale came with the meteor missile and spectra electronic pod. India just got some, at the price of over 200 million for a piece, and they immediately started poking their middle fingers to China. I think India needs to calm down, their whole military is basically imported, and can't survive a 7 month attrition war with China.....but the writing on the wall seems USA and France, are using them as stooges to undermine China. |

komekn: These kind of incidents open up a whole can of worms.
Look at the chaos and total disorder with no sense of professionalism and structure to what they were doing.
What was the threat, from what l could hear maybe not more than 6/7 misguided elements shooting their AK47's. And look at the terror based fearful response and complete loss of control and zero situational awareness as well as OFFENSIVE response.
Holding that thought, imagine just 3/4 Boko rickety gun trucks had engaged the convoy.
Can you imagine the utter carnage they would have rained on the Governor and his entourage. The chaos would have been off the scale combatants would probably run leaving the Governor to be captured.
Now we an insight into NA response to what should be routine ambushes and or enemy skirmishes. It doesn't look good AT ALL. Nothing about what happened, shows the NA response, it shows the sss and police response....I can bet you the army would have been better off, without so much unnecessary unprofessional armed men, getting in their way. Also military men, have a way of intentionally putting you in danger to show you what they go through so you appreciate them or prove a point to you, though this might not necessarily what came to play in this incident, but I better you, a couple of officers and soldiers would be laughing over it and making jest of what happened. Mind you, army guys have been known to abandon navy guys in the north east, so that the navy guys would prove their worth. Its just one of the funny things military men do, that can cost lives. |

This case looks like operatives who choose not to wear them.
we have seem images of Adamawa governor's details who were fully kitted with even grenade launchers on this thread of recent. Borno governors security details not fully kitted. Might be political, so they dont look threatening to the masses, and more approachable. |

Odunayaw: You're sure you typed this in the right frame of mind? Did you not see the honesty in Toju200's question? It's not about toju, its the way the person that claimed Nigeria has Hj 12 , started shouting it's for Nigeria, even when the article merely said an African country and to a lesser extent, the way people started believed him, even when the news article didnt mention Nigeria. Sounds like pastors , gullible congregations claim it mindset to me. The same mindset comes to play again with aradu.... that aradu is undergoing sea trials, aradu was clearly towed by tug boats,no proof to show she's under her own power, because the pastor says it's TRUE, the flock too started commenting aradu out of dock for sea trials, weapons removed even when missile magazine and weapons are visible , and to them it's the biblical truth......this our pastor and followers mentality, with the lack of ability to verify information won't kill us |

Odunayaw: That quotation is likely inflated. It'd take less than a $100m to make this ship fight again.
The only issue I seem to have is the useful life remaining I'm sure we can still get 20 years from aradu....aradu hasn't really flogged water, it's just the limit of our technical expertise when we bought aradu, that killed her. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Tobiloba2407: 5:17pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
Odunayaw: I agree with you. A brand new frigate or frigates is not coming soon. A good competitive tender and we can give this ship a fighters robe for significantly less than the $250m quotation bandied about. Whatever cost we are willing to pay, it's best we give it to the original builder to upgrade, or a competent German ship building firm, that builds this size and quality of vessels, going through the German government, or else we would waste money just like our FACs. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Tobiloba2407: 4:53pm On Jul 30, 2020 |
youghs: What's the logic behind retrofitting this vessel with $250m whereas we could get a nice new russian frigate at the same price How much are Russian frigates ? We use western radar, FCS....., even the Chinese opv we bought were installed with western sensors ; or Chinese sensors based on western technology. If our aradu , can be brought back to life and upgraded to challenge other warships in Africa, for extra 15 to 20 years, then I will say we upgrade....because I really don't think we can afford a brand new frigate, especially with our economy and expenditure and the loans we keep collecting. |

dudex82: You’re right But you haven’t answered my question, the later his also guilty of the same accusation of yours ? 99% of military blogs or thread get information from different source. Have you’ve not seen bidexiii materials been used on his twitter thread ? And have you for once asked him to credit it to bedexiii. I have never been to bidexii's twitter page, and I'm not aware he has one. Though I have seen posts that first appeared on others social media, and he posts here, some word for word, if he does this, he should make reference to the source, vice versa. |

dudex82: To some extent you might be right
But have you seen countless of bidexiii pictures used on his own twitter platform, did he gave credit or reference once ? Do you run the thread on twitter or you’re just a keen follower, have you for once corrected him of using photos from other military blogs without giving credit to the source. I have noticed him taking quotes, stories, updates ,pictures and so on, making it seen like he is the source(might not be his intention), this is the first time I'm advising him. |
