PoliticsRe: Just In. Atiku Clinches 489,045 Votes to defeat Tinubu in Katsina. by Toks2008(op): 4:17am On Feb 27, 2023
ImperialYoruba:
If you notice, at the end of that Vanguard news article they had this to say - "Results to be officially announced in a jiffy by Katsina State Presidential Collation Officer, Prof Ma’azu Abubakar"

You all said you want rig-free election. So INEC invested in BVAS. In four midterm elections so far INEC has proven that BVAS works.

A result that is not certified should not be announced, and moreover, collation officer lacks authority to certify results for the nation.

Vanguard is destroying the electoral process by announcing non-certified results. Citizens like you ought to revolt against it, not encourage it.
Waiting for INEC is inconsequential especially when they have appeared to be compromised.

Vanguard has its source. Let see if INEC will announce a conflicting result.

Tinubu won 21 LGAs and Atiku won 13 LGAs.
You got it wrong, the punch was not talking about the total state votes but the council area in question. Go and read again.

justified007:
I don't even think he can get 25% in Kano with that results
Do you even know how to calculate 25%?

This is the formula.

Total number of votes cast/ 100 x 25

Now check the number of votes a particular candidate has to know if it's more than the answer you got above.

For instance let's say in Kosovo state the total number of voters was 1000,the 25% of this will be

1000000/100 x 25=250000

Now let's say candidate A secured 250000 votes yet lost to candidate B who had 750000 vote,... Though he lost, but he has 25% of the total vote cast.

Atiku didnt secure it in ondo, ogun, crs, rivers, benue
Nobody mentioned Ogun state.

Unfortunately, Tinubu has not secured 25% in 25states so even if he has more votes than Atiku, he can never be declared the winner.

But fortunately for Atiku, he has secured that condition and all he needs is just to have same number of vote with Tinubu for him to be declared the president.

But then he still managed to get ahead of Tinubu cos Adamawa really blessed him with huge votes.

I dont indulge in beer parlor talks.

Go and do your findings. In actual fact, it is Tinubu that got served in the south losing his home state Osun to Atiku and losing huge numbers in Lagos to Obi.

Atiku has won Tinubu with a narrow margin and fortunately, he has secured 25% in over 24 states.

Atiku is the next president.

PS712:
Thank you. Very shameful post from him. He is ascribing too much electoral value to the north, except he clarifies which part of North cause for all I know, you know and everyone knows Benue, Plateau and FCT are parts of the North and are fully obidient. Meanwhile, the Northwest and northeast that could be Centre of concern all have factors that will split their votes as no one can say exactly how the votes will swing. Atiku, Kwankwaso and Tinubu are scrambling for votes from the same pool while Obi has SE locked down, large chunk of SS (especially Edo). He's taking something significant out of Lagos.
Why are some southerners, especially the leaders like this?
A look at the spread of votes indicate the era of dreading influence of numbers of votes from the north is over at the moment.
The hitherto dreaded Bauchi and Borno votes are now lower than Plateau and Benue votes respectively, unlike before. Kano which is highest is lower than Lagos and the three major candidates BAT, Atiku and Kwankwaso will split votes there. Obi will still score some votes too in Kano, it will not be significant though but that is expected. Ebonyi has more votes than Yobe. So what are they saying?
Keep dreaming.

The North has always decided who wins the presidency.

They have the voting Geography. Know this and know Peace.
