Many Nigerians need employment and I believe reducing cost of governance at the executive, legislative and judicial levels will make more resources available for the good of the common man. Polygamy, unlike infidelity, is a recognised marriage system which is being legally practised by lots of societies in the world.

Even societies that practise polygamy still strongly abhor infidelity.

Its best for a man to marry more than one woman as wives to satisfy his high sexual urge than for him to indulge in extra-marital affairs.
And if one cannot practise polygamy cos of his religious belief or orientation that does not agree with that marriage system, he has the option of changing his belief to one that allows polygamy. Simples.

And i want you to also understand that men are not polygamous by nature.
Just because a system or behaviour is widely practised doesnt make it a natural phenomenon.
Or have you forgotten that just as polygamy was widely accepted by most societies around the world in the olden days, so also societal systems like child marriage was also widely practised in the past.
But these does not automatically makes 'men craddle robbers by nature'. Or does it?

Note that the same way these married men are cheating on their spouses is the same way most of these runs girls sleeping with married men are cheating on their fiances too (whom they pretend to be faithful to & hope to marry someday in the future).
Remember also that alot of wealthy married women also cheat on their husbands by engaging in sugar-mummyism with young boys. We have many of these kind of women in nigeria & abroad to this day.
Therefore, its no one's nature to cheat. Every human has the propensity to cheat irrespective of gender. Thankyou.

I meant no offence from my introduction and sorry if u took any but you can't argue with my points. Yes there are quite a few divorces in western cultures but overall which would u say is better, western or African societies? Of course Western and u know why? Because they obey RULES better than we Africans. One of such rules is marriage is exclusive between one man and one woman and any interference with that is legitimate grounds for divorce! The bible you quote supports that rule and I know it states it from a masculine perspective but I strongly believe it applies to both genders. After all it was the same bible which said a man would cling to his 'wife' (not wives) and they 'two' shall become 'ONE'. Go figure.

Try it in the civilised (western) world with a white lady.. u won't only get kicked out of ur home but might also end up in jail! If you want to quote scripture, it always baffles me when we Africans think we know the bible more than the white man who brought it to us yet we are the ones who open our mouths to proclaim such immorality like "a man can sleep around all he wants, his woman should get used to it". Believe it or not, western Christian cultures follow the principles of the bible better than we Africans and a lot of these principles are enshrined in their laws I.e: murder is a crime, stealing is a crime, baring false accounts (under oath) in court is a serious crime, POLYGAMY is illegal etc. As for islamic countries, their holy book states it clearly a man is allowed up to 4 wives so their laws tend to follow that principle too. Now let me tell u the simple truth why most African women condone polygamy and cheating from their men.. its not hard to figure..the answer is two fold: INFERIORITY and POVERTY! Society has conditioned most African women to believe marriage is their ultimate calling in life and they should do whatever it takes to get married and stay married even if it means condoning cheating from their man or accepting a second wife.. and since getting divorced or failing to even get married is such a 'shame' for most African ladies, they tend to act accordingly. That explains low self esteem as for poverty, it is obvious one of the major reasons most African ladies rush into or are even pushed into marriage by their parents is for economical reasons. I.e, they need a financially stable husband\son in law to provide for them.. this is not only the reason most African ladies tolerate philandering from their husbands but also why it is so easy to marry up to ten wives once u make a little money in African societies and no one would ask u any questions. Prove me wrong on any of these points if u can. I'm out.

To be honest with ourselves,this is a critical issue that has actually broken up a lot of marriages. When a man has sex outside and the woman finds out ,she decides to leave . If you ask the man he will tell u it was nothing that he was only playing and nothing serious. Women must understand this fact about men.men need sex all the time ,he may stray and misbehave but that doesn't change his love for u ,he still loves his wife but he just wants to have a quickie just for fun. I have seen and heard of true life stories where the wife entered the room to find her husband on top of another woman and all she told her man was just to commot his prick and stand up,the man later begged and begged . Up till today they are still happily married. women who have this kind of wisdom are usually happy because their man is happy. Don't try to cage a man sexual desire and satisfaction to u because once he breaks out he may never come back, look at him like a boy that needs to be naughty at times,but who always comes back home to his darling mommy at home .
