Does the prophesy specify that if the election is free and fair APC will win? Cos if the election is not free and fair, prophecy has no place to sit o. Moreover, I can also predict base on the climatic condition of the nigerian politics. |
So driving has now turned to a scheme like a gulder ultimate search, nigerian idol where one go to compete with other contestants. Notwithstanding, congrats to the graduates. And may they leave long with the certificate. |
ngozievergreen: Now u are backing off. Its d same achebe that wrote there was a country. Where u nt d one dat said one was scattering d country? Wch book were u referring to? N wch part of d book didnt d yoruba like? Isnt it d one abt awolowo? So Awolowo on point!still wondering why every igbo talks the same thing about the civil war. Well you were fed by the same person. You made mention of the pogrom in the north against the igbo but refused to talk about the igbo coup of jan 15 1966 killing other tribes' leader sparing theirs. Exactly what Professor Achebe did. So you expected the hausas to fold their hands and be watching? I cant argue 'there was a country' with you cos you haven't read it, only the extract you came across on nairaland which is not even really part of the story. Where was achebe during the civil war to write about his experience of the civil war. A man parading himself as the biafran ambassador in the US talking about his experience of the civil war. About my first response to the thread. Yes am right! Achebe decided to be bias in his memoir of the civil war which is against historical ethics generating controversies. Soyinka saw what is wrong and decided to write against it through the the protesting women. Achebe is a foremost writer, no doubt. Let me give you a related example like i have once cited to you. In olympic, if a country won a gold medal in an event, and another country won 1million silver in all the olympic events, the country with just one Gold medal would be ranked higher than the country with 1million silver medals. |
Oh my God! Naija movie dey very interesting. Since all this while the senate has taken the responsibility to track down the fraudulence act of Mr Maina. The senate even one time said they leave the fraudster to God to deal with him. When they realised that things are no more easy with the pensioners, the senate decided to shift the responsibility to the President to hand over Mr Maina to them. The president kept mute for a while later ordered head of service to punish Maina just for going AWOL instead of the fraudulence allegation. The latest news: Mr Maina has absconded. Could all these episodes of the fraud allegation and the trial be called a 'delay tactics' to aid Mr Maina perfect the work he started and abscond? |
Maybe OAU went to the competition with their white house medical students(part 1 medical students)! |
ngozievergreen: Stop forming smart with me. I have read d extract dat is a source of worry to d yorubas and i have told u evn awolowo attested to dat after d war, claiming that it was his duty to fight his enemies wth blockade. So,its all true.what is my own concern with Obafemi Awolowo? Just like every other selfish past leaders like azikwe and the rest. You only told me Awolowo attested to using a blockade as a weapon in the civil war but failed to tell me what was the rational and reasons behind the decision. Just like telling me the answer is 4. Is it 1+3=4, 2+2=4 or 0+4=4. Am not interested in the answer but what brought about the answer. Moreover, you expect him to fold his hands and be watching his enemy invading his territory? Typical example is you and I arguing, so you expect me to continue giving you points to beat me hands down? Mind you, civil war is not something i like talking about cos it is a result of the mistakes of our so called heroes. About Achebe and Soyinka. Achebe's work being recognised and translated to many languages doesn't make the former more recognised than the latter. David Bekcham is a very famous footballer, loved and recognised by many doesn't make him a better footballer than Pele in their football carriers. Achebe has a very interesting story in the 'things fall apart' novel doesn't mean he was excellent in his composition of all the elements of literature in the book. Those that possess the earthly knowledge of these are in Sweden. Ngozi! The church bell is ringing. |
why is seriake prickson acting like a hunter's dog that couldn't chase a grasscutter but chose to kill toad, lizard, etc that are not really useful for the hunter |
i cant imagine argueing with that BUFFER called DENDE, with no atom of truth and intelligence even at old age. Well, maybe senile could be hypobolic adjective to qualify his deluded emotional cyber expression. Still wondering what he spent his productive life doing! |
A physically–challenged barber, who abducted his mother, Mrs. Kate Emienor, in Benin City, Edo State and detained her for 10 days at a hideout in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, while demanding N20 million ransom to secure her freedom , has been nabbed by the police. Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, who confirmed the incident, yesterday, said, “It is true, both the son and mother that was kidnapped are in our custody.” Sunday Vanguard learnt that the barber, suspected to be a hardened criminal, allegedly abducted her mother, February 5, in Benin City, where he operated a barbing salon, and whisked her to a hideout in Ogwashi- Uku. He reportedly alerted his elder brother, based overseas, that their mother was kidnapped and the abductors were demanding N20 million ransom to release her. The ransom was later reduced to N10 million when his brother could not raise the N20 million. Meanwhile, unknown to the son, the police were alerted about the purported kidnap and they put in place strategies to track the abductors. Sunday Vanguard gathered that the suspect might have brainwashed his mother into agreeing to be abducted in order to obtain money from her son living outside the country. Aduba, who expressed concern about the involvement of family members and insiders in kidnapping, said, “The suspect who arranged the purported kidnap of his mother was busy holding meetings with other members of the family on how to release their mother, whereas, he was responsible for the abduction.” The police boss disclosed that the suspect held a meeting with other members of the family 24 hours before he was arrested at about 4.00 pm on February 15, adding that no ransom was paid to rescue Mrs. Emienor. His words, “The scourge is getting worrisome as kidnap cases are not abating with idle youths turning their energy negatively to the detriment of the larger society”. Recalling the case of a man who arranged the kidnap of a friend, he said, “Hard time awaits kidnappers in Delta State; they will be smoked out and made to face the full wrath of the law, including their sponsors, who always lurk around”. According to Aduba, “Recently, a so-called human rights activist and lawyer was nabbed pants down trying to pervert the course of justice shamelessly in Warri. “His game of blackmailing notwithstanding, let him prove his innocence in court, not before native doctors cum spiritualists. “I want to assure Deltans that with their cooperation, there is no hiding space for sponsors of crime in the state; once they are caught, no compromise”. A police source told Sunday Vanguard, last night, “It is likely the suspect will be charged to court for the kidnap of his mother, but the mother will be used as a key witness since it was obvious she fell for the trap.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/physically-challenged-son-kidnaps-mother/ |
ngozievergreen: Cum mikeansy or watever u call yourself. Close dis ur Yoruba mouth. Where did IBB see SE ppl that will vote for him? Look at dis boi o, u claim u come to d SE and all u cud decipher is dat Any northerner will get our votes. Mtchewlater you will be claiming you aren't a tribalist and ethnocentric. |
It really makes sense like that. There is ability in disability even from the alphabetical characters of the word. Only that some physically challenged have complicated their ability with the prefix 'dis' making them to become a nuisanse to the society. |
ngozievergreen: Leave him to call me a tribalistu have always been ethnocentric and bigoted. ngozi: After dragging chinua achebe to dis topic that has nothing to do with himi made a comparison. Criticizing someone makes a person a tribalist? ngozi: Achebe said d truthbetter you understand the difference between truth and fiction, ngozi: nobody expected [Yoruba] . They shd keep talking abt nobel prize while Achebe has gone higher dan Wole in international circles evn without the nobel prize.in your wild dream. Achebe won't even dare say that himself. ngozi: If 'there was a country' was wrong/false, y did Americans add it to IOS best books of 2012?just like the normal friction naw. ngozi: @ Tolexanderya! Am following you. ngozi: show me the fictitious tnz in d book .have you read the book? |
Dede1: If you had read the book and still talk about the award of nobel laureate or lack thereof as shown in your previous posts, I safely say you either have comprehensible deficiency or you are a tribal irredentist. I would ask you to check out the “Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad” and scintillating rebuttals by Achebe and “Things Fall Apart”, then you will begin to know why the Europeans do not want to add insults to injury by awarding Achebe the nonsensical nobel laureate. In the plateau of historical and philosophical approach to human nature, Achebe’s book, “Things Fall Apart”, had sent Heart of Darkness to the dustbin.very sure you were dementialised by the biafrian war incidence maybe due to the progeria it caused on you in your childhood. So far you love a book written by an author which pleases your putrified mind and bias emotion doesn't make it the best book. What literary intellectual capability have you to pass a judgement on the fate decided by the people that made literature their culture from the elementary studies to the peak of all knowledge that can be acquired by a man? |
Today, most of those in government are part of the Boko Haram sect. To some extent, some of them are part of the sect because the government is not paying any attention to security issues.
this man is making sense than the topic made me to feel. yerima: One can imagine the kind ofit requires clue to act a role sir! Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, yesterday said only a sound economy could guarantee security of life and property of the citizens, adding that the Boko Haram insurgents would persist except the economy is fixed. Sanusi, who spoke in Maiduguri, at the flag off of CBN Financial Inclusion Strategy Pilot Implementation programme, noted that poverty and unemployment fuelled Boko Haram uprising in Borno, which later spread to some states in the North. He maintained that Nigeria cannot solve the challenges of Boko Haram until she fixes her economy. “I believe that at the heart of Boko Haram crisis in Borno and other parts of the country is unemployment and poverty and we can never fix security until we fix economy,” he stressed. The apex bank boss disclosed that the decision to establish the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) for the North East, in Borno, was taken at a Bankers Committee conference in Calabar last year, having noted the strategic position of the state to the growth of national economy and the need to improve the economy of the people of the area. He said he believes the effort would substantially address the security challenge in the area. According to him, the financial inclusion strategy is aimed at increasing access to financial services, such as payments, savings, remittance, pension, insurance and credit facility at affordable cost. “Each time Nigerians discuss Borno, it is always Boko Haram issue but we feel people should not be overwhelmed by the Boko Haram thing and we should not be obsessed by it,’ he warned. Sanusi disclosed that the CBN would partner with the Borno government by building a centre of excellence at the University of Maiduguri and investing in development of secondary schools as parts of the apex bank’s intervention in the education sector. He explained that the EDC was conceived by the CBN with supports from the Committee of Bankers to train youths on various skills. He said the Financial Inclusion Strategy programme was designed to make banking activities and service closer to the people, even as he charged the people to use the opportunity provided by the information technological especially with mobile telephone. Also speaking, Minister of Communication Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, disclosed that over 200 base stations belonging to two major telecommunication providers have been destroyed in Borno, by suspected Boko Haram. She called on the state government and communities to provide adequate security for the base stations and telecommunication facilities in the state, adding that they “are national facilities though belong to private communication companies.” She also disclosed that more facilities of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) will be established in other local governments in the state “where the services or facilities are currently not available.” The minister also noted that NIPOST services was vital in getting many Nigerians included in the CBN project and will equally be required to drive the micro-financial banks especially in the rural areas. Borno State governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, thanked the CBN governor and the communication minister for their understanding that job creation was a better panacea to tackling youth restiveness and insurgence, like Boko Haram. He stated that the state government had invested N120.5 million on the establishment of micro-finance banks, stressing that all the processes have been completed and now waiting for the release of the license. While appealing to telecom companies to repair their facilities in the state destroyed by suspected Boko Haram, he assured that government “will ensure maximum security of all the base stations and telecommunications facilities in the state.” http://sunnewsonline.com/new/cover/blame-poverty-for-boko-haram-cbn-gov/ |
The Tinubu magistrate court sitting in Lagos on Thursday ordered that, the 15 Russians who were arrested by Nigerian Navy on Oct. 2012 over an alleged illegal importation of firearms and ammunition in the country be further remanded in prison custody till Feb 19, when their bail application would be heard. The presiding magistrate said the extension is to enable the accused to be formally charged before the Lagos High Court by the Attorney General of the Federation. The 15 accused are Zhelyazkov Andrey, 53, Savchenko Sergrey, 36, Chichikanov Vasily, 49, Varlygin Igor, 48, Komilov Alexandr, 32, Lopatin Alexey, 38, Baranovskly Nikolay, 50, Mishin Pavel, 31, LLia Shubov, 33, and Dmitry Bannyrn, 40. Others were Alexander Tsarikov, 44, kononov sergel, 44, Korotchenko Andrey, 23, Vorobev Mikhail, 40 and Stepan Oleksuik, 52. The hearing of the bail application which was previously fixed on Thursday Feb.14 could not hold as the prosecutor, Mr Effiong Asuquo (a superintendent of police from the Special Fraud Unit) urged the court to stand down the matter, that the Attorney-General of the Federation had declared his intention to take over the matter. However the Attorney - General could not show up in the court till about 11am when the matter was called again, during which the prosecutor made a verbal application asking the court to further remand the accused and adjourn the matter till Tuesday 19 February. He held that the accused have filed a bail application before the Lagos High Court and that the matter has already been fixed on Tuesday Feb.19, for hearing. Reacting to this, the counsel firm to the Russians, Mr Segun Sipeolu and Edidiong E.Idiong prayed the court to release the accused on liberal terms, pending when the Attorney General and the police would be ready to file charges adding that the accused have been in government custody for the past four months. Consequently, the presiding magistrate Oyindamole Ogalla(Mrs) ordered that the 15 accused persons be remanded in prison custody till February 19, saying that the date is the most appropriate since the accused have filed an application for bail before the Lagos high court while the prosecutor has equally asked the court for adjournment of the the matter till the same date. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/15-russians-to-remain-in-prison-custody-till-feb-19/ |
may his soul rest in peace! Is there anyone with the video prediction from T.B JOSHUA? |
the baby looks like Jay-Z. But the irony of life is that the baby may refuse to trail the route of her parent's success. And may not also live up to the expectation from her. |
lobatan! Signed an agreement or not. If Jonathan was smart enough i believed he should have a counter agreement to outsmart the God forsaken 'born to rule' northern leaders. But i doubt Jonathan having it. Trust OBJ, that is why it is good to be cunny at times. Little wonder he had to refute and dissociated himself from the Jan 1st poster of his 2015 presidential campaign. |
ngozievergreen: I dedicate dis post to Tolexander. If dem leave dem now, dey start making a fool of demselves by comparing soyinka to Achebe. Since everything must go triba among dem.no ma ngozi! I av always known you to be igbo ethnocentric, bigot and tribalist like Chinua Achebe. Check all my posts, am not a tribalist but always try to counter anything achebe's 'there was a country'. Did you read the book in question? If you weren't bias enough, though you are very ethnocentric like i've known you to be, you will understand that the book is one sided when you compare the known fictionist history to the real historean's history of nigeria. |
Was thinking of u saying some additional buttons and sections. Wanted to crave for a slap button. But latter realised that i could have been slapped 20 times before i would make a slap. For additional section, wanted to demand for psychiatric section. Just remembered it isn't necessary, just click on musiwa's post. |
What population census gave Nigerian citizen 160million self? 2006 Census that was full of flaws |
Funny how people like Sanusi and co will always survive this kind of attack and saddens how innocent citizens mostly die in the attacks. Still trying to understand the tricks behind it. Am afraid i may not gat the tricks cos nigeria is full of polytricks in which only the actors involved can understand. |
waiting for the outcome of the meeting before making further comment. But selfishness shouldn't be their watchword! |

Baba Suwe vs NDLEA: Court to hear N25m judgment appeal April 28 By Innocent Anaba The Court of Appeal sitting in, Lagos, Friday adjourned till April 8, 2013, to hear the appeal by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, against a judgment debt of N25m ordered against it in favour of Mr Babatunde Omidina, alias Baba Suwe in 2011. A Lagos High Court, Ikeja, had in a judgment in the suit by Baba Suwe on November 24, 2011, ordered the agency to pay him N25m,for detaining him beyond the legal time limit on a suspicion of drug ingestion. The lower court also ordered the agency to apologise to the actor publicly in conspicuous pages of two national dailies. Hearing in the appeal, could not go on Friday, as presiding judge, Justice Chima Nweze noted that the appeal was wrongly listed for motion instead of arguments. It will be recalled that Baba Suwe was arrested by NDLEA men at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagod on the October 12, 2011 on allegations of ingestion of a restricted narcotics. He was alleged to have been detained without any evidence that he ingested any narcotic, as he did not excrete any of such substance throughout the period of his incaceration. The lower court in its judgment, held that the detention of the actor and the ill treatment meted on him while in custody violated his constitutionally-guaranteed rights. NDLEA in the appeal,is praying the court to set aside the judgment, on the grounds, that the award of N25m in favour of Baba Suwe was arbitrary, further arguing that the trial court wrongly assumed jurisdiction to hear the suit. The agency is contending that keeping the respondent in custody between October 12 and 21, 2011, on the suspicion of drug ingestion, did not violate his rights. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/baba-suwe-vs-ndlea-appeal-court-hear-n25m-judgment-appeal-april-28/ |

Imagine! So the order to arrest Maina is not even base on the pension fraud allegation but for just going AWOL(away without leave). Why must we leave leprosy alone and start treating dandruff? |
Just thinking about my childhood experience then i remembered one of those things dad used in scaring me when i was young. We had a calendar then that had Jesus' image, dad told me that if i commit any evil at home when nobody is around, that the Jesus image in the calendar is watching everything. I used to be very scared that time to commit any sin cos dad said if Jesus sees me, he will throw me to the lake of fire immediately and many other things we did hear in sunday school. There was this day when i saw fried fish on the table in the sitting room, it caught my eyes that i intended stealing but i was scared seeing calendar Jesus watching me. That day i just summoned courage and said actually this fried fish was not supposed to be on the table in the sitting room that it was supposed to be in thekitchen. Then i moved it to the kitchen and balanced with it actually, there was no calendar jesus looking at me in the kitchen. I finished the fried fish that day. I believe everyone also have one or two experience(s) like this, will be very glad tohear your own story also. |
kingoflag: I'm not claiming to know anything o!better u believe me if you believe the year the OP said the picture was snapped. Was only playing along with the OP. |
