Eziachi: Since Nigeria is not known for any sort of financial prudence, then some waste must be better than other wastesi understand man! Nigeria is not known for any good thing except for the opposite. But does that now mean we should continue to encourage one evil just that it is fair and better than the other not taking into consideration that an evil is an evil. Let us not use a wrong to correct a wrong cos two wrongs dont make a right! Remember the fallacy of false dichotomy! |
yorubas do say agbepo loja nikan ko ni ole, eni ti ogbe ati eni ti o gbaa sile, ole niwon(he who steals a gallon of palm oil in the market is not only the thief but also the person that helped in keeping the stolen oil). Not allowing the guy to have a cheat/peep on your answere sheet will only make him to realise that he needs preparing for his exam by swoting on his books. And if he failed the exam because you disallowed him/her, that is his/her problem cos that is the consequence of his action just as the wage of sin is death. |
Eziachi: How can it be wasteful? Is it not better than keeping it in a Swiss private bank account?both wastefulness and keeping in Swiss account are all bad anyway. Must we always build our choice on two bad options? There are many correct projects to be done with the national resources that will benefit the large percentage of the populace if not all. A devil is not better than satan cos both have no good things to offer. |
yes they don't have for now but their government will be formed in feb 20 of this year. Moreover, they just pronounced their autonomy and became a republic on the 5th of nov last year. http://www.theadvocatengr.com/index.php/politics/item/536-biafra-govt-will-be-inaugurated-feb-20-onwuka-bzm-leader |
when i saw mausoleum, i thought it is a road that will cover over 1000km until i checked the meaning. Another way of wasting resources that are to be used for useful things. |
OP! You only told us what topic you commented on but failed to tell us the content of your comment. Agbejo enikan da, agba osika ni(he who choose to make his justice base on one side of the story heard is a wicked soul). We all have a freedom of speech but doesn't mean we can say anything. 'like praising Adam Lacanza that made the connecticut shooting during immediately after the incidence. Tell us the actual comment you made. |
very unfortunate situation like this are often brought up when things are no more getting rossy. That is when they start reading meaning to many things they would let go. |
GEJ: let us pray that these people should repent. If they want to get South Africa involved in their mission, they mustn't spare mtn o. |
could this be the external interference of the man nextdoor or the handiwork of the nurses! |
Good hearing that rare good news about Nigeria. But before i will digest that news, the goverment including GEJ and Labaran Maku himself must start using the Innoson products as their official cars. |
there is a yoruba saying! Omo ti a ko ba ko ni o ma gbe ile ti a ko ta.(it is a refused to be cultured/trained by the parent that will sell the house of the parent) what does one expect from a president that feels a governmental position is an avenue to relieve oneself of the childhood lack of shoes(GEJ) and treat a personal health issues(Yar adua) |
ibide: Urbobo we have ukodo ovwo oil (soup ) amiedi banger soupnice! May i know the ingredient and the preparation? |
taharqa: I wud like to know how you know dis plz. The intra-Lagos Train service is still running smoothly, isn't it? When it restated in 2011 afta many yrs of been comatose, it was running 8 trips per day; it later increasd to 12 trips per day and now 18 trips per day, carrying tens of thousands of humans and goods everyday. It is still running smoothly to the best of my knowledge and is still punctual, smtimes more than d increasing passengers. They still use these 'archaic' trains all these while, and they hv not packd up...... I undastad though the need to buy newer trains and to take proper maintenance of those in service, I get that point. NRC shld be so advicd...k sir! The administration of GEJ tried renovating the railways but never bought a new ones which means the archaic and old trains will still be plying the railways. Materially, machines work on mechanical principles which wares away with time. Imagine the time these trains were bought which was in the 80s(though not really sure but can't be in this century), it will take a very more resources to maintain them than those trains that were manufactured in this century due to time difference and technological advancement in manufacturing. |
That is the amount he wants us to believe they are realising per trip which is not realy bad base on the just resuscitation of the rail transport sector. But these trains plying the railways are archaic and not really mechanically guaranteed to withstand lengthy stress. Cos it wont make sense to be realising #5 on a Taxi that you always use #20 to maintain. Besides the man only told us the amount they realise per trip but fail to tell us the amount they deliver to the NRC at the end of the day. Praying it wont be like the typical molue drivers and okada men in lagos that don't deliver the correct amount. |
musiwa12: the law does not say Goodluck cant contest. the issue is Goodluck cant win . cant get even up to 25% of the vote. and he has made up his mind to rig the election like in 2011.. and it will result in violent. because you are going to see violent in both the north and the west..but cant realy undastand u and the pre-babangida partition of nigerian geographical location! The question is not about can he win now but the eligibility to contest the election from the nigerian constitution. Jonathan is not from the east but the south-south. |
is the law that difficult to translate? But i think that is the function of the judiciary. Is the law about spending a maximum of eight years in office or elected for the office not more than two terms? Wondering how the lawmakers decided to make the law so complicated that it couldn't be comprehended by the executives and common man. |
Four former head of state: Alhaji Shehu Shagari and Generals Yakubu Gowon, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar and all the 19 northern governors were absent at a summit organised by a group, Northern Development Focus Initiative (NDFI), to look into the issues affecting the region. The summit only had former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari in attendance along with the deputy governors of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his counterpart from Niger state, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/former-heads-of-state-northern-govs-shun-northern-peace-summit/137359/ |
The city is unlivable, Yet the people are happy. Suffering and smiling. What a paradoxical paradox! As unlivable as it is, some people still struggle to pack themselves in millions to Lagos everyday from their Villages just because they see it as the safest haven. |
***yawn*** got tired after reading the 1000th(and still counting) line of meaninless talk. |
just as if the man doesn't know who the daemons are. Perhaps those that employed him . Praying it is not going to be the case of bushmeat catching the hunter during the process of daemon hunting. |
ba7man: She's likely going to put it in writing.k! Cos why i pity her is just the corruption and problem of the nigerian judical system and police officers. Cos at the end of the day, she may be at the recieving end due to her state. |

Eden Hazard issued an apology to the ballboy he was seen to kick during Chelsea's 0-0 Capital One Cup draw with Swansea on Wednesday evening. - Tyler: Hazard's low blow - Ballboy won't press charges - Laudrup: Hazard will regret kick - Delaney: Swans give Chelsea blues Hazard was given his marching orders over the incident as the Blues were knocked out of the competition, with Swansea going through as 2-0 aggregate winners, setting up a clash with Bradford in the Wembley decider. After the match, Hazard spoke on Chelsea TV to clarify what happened during the tense occasion. "The boy put his whole body onto the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball and I think I kicked the ball and not the boy. I apologise," he explained. "The ball boy came in the changing room and we had a quick chat and I apologised and the boy apologised as well, and it is over. Sorry." Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez backed up Hazard's version of events when probed in his post- match press conference. "Eden Hazard has been in to see the ball boy and the two have apologised to each other," Benitez said. "The ball boy knows he was wasting time. We are disappointed to lose the player but we cannot change things. They both recognise there was a mistake. "The boy was apologising for time wasting. Hazard was frustrated and tried to get the ball. He was kicking the ball and getting the ball. We can analyse if for half an hour but we know that both are wrong." Meanwhile, the club have offered an apology of their own for a tweet from its offical account following the incident. The tweet read: "Has football gone mad? Hazard is sent off for kicking the ball under a ball boy attempting to smother the ball rather than return it." They soon apologised, tweeting: "Apologies for earlier ballboy tweet. Hazard has now met with the ballboy and has said sorry." Adding to the drama, Press Association Sport reports that the ballboy involved in the scuffle with Hazard is Charley Morgan, the son of Swansea director Martin Morgan. The boy posted on his Twitter account just hours before the game: "The king of all ball boys is back making his final appearance #needed #for #timewasting". http://m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?w=1cjow&storyId=1310800&i=TOP&topslot=1&wjb= |
Eko Ile: What do you think? The British diplomats visited Tinubu to discuss the beautiful weather outside....eh! Is it all about what i think or what that happened. Do u want me to assume what the mission of the high commissioner is so that I can run foul of fallacy of unwarranted assumption? |
the leaders of yestarday are the leaders of today, the leaders of today are the leaders of tomorrow. In other word, the leaders of yesterday are the leaders of tomorrow. Our teachers didn't lie only that they were myopic borrowing the slogan from UK. |

The advocacy organ of the Pro- National Conference (PRONACO), Citizens Advocacy Group, (CAG), has threatened to mobilise Nigerians against any attempt by government to neutralise the report of the Farouk Lawan-led committee on fuel subsidy scam on the account of the bribery allegation by Mr. Femi Otedola, against the committee. Commenting on the bribery saga yesterday in Lagos, PRONACO spokesperson, Mr. Olawale Okunniyi, insisted that “as a matter of fact, both the alleged bribe giver, Mr. Femi Otedola, and the alleged taker, Hon. Farouk Lawan, are culpable under Nigerian law and international convention.” The PRONACO spokesman also tasked the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN), to immediately commence prosecution of the case. He described as unfortunate a situation where a bribery scam could be known to government; yet the Attorney General and the hierarchy of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) would fail to institute charges against those involved in the issue as a way of serving as a deterrent to others. “What we observed here is that having deliberately rubbished the indicting report of the House of Representatives on the fuel subsidy scam, the Federal Government is now trying to sweep the prosecution of the bribery saga, involving one its principal agents under the carpet thereby portraying the Nigerian government as promoting and condoning fraud.” “We also suspect that the Nigerian Government seems to be more concerned about shielding the characters in the scandal, otherwise a strong legal action to bring the alleged accused to trial before a competent court of law should have been taken on the investigative report and prima facie case established on the alleged bribery scandal presented to the office of the Attorney General since August 2012 by the police.” Okunniyi averred that the Police authorities had presented a copy of the police investigation on the alleged bribery scam to the AGF and had indeed drafted charges for modification and immediate action by the office of the AGF but the AGF had failed to commence prosecution of the duo without a public explanation on why it has taken so long to institute a legal action against the bribery scandal, which has brought the country into a negative spotlight and disrepute in the international community. “Therefore, any attempt by government to be unjust in this matter will be tabled before the central committee of the National Action Coalition (NAC) and would be met with heavy resistance as it is the responsibility of Government to extinct corruption and fraud in the Nigerian body polity. “The Federal Government must end the tradition of fraud and cover up of corruption involving its allies and high profile Nigerians and must take the fight against corruption and bribery seriously before they destroy everybody,” he stated. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/otedola-farouk-bribery-scandal-pronaco-threatens-mass-action/137287/ |
