babyosisi: Ofenmanu means you use a lot of oil while cooking which is true
Ajaokuta wharever is not a true statement since nobody eats stone
Okoro is similar to Yoruba
Many Igbos answer Okoro as name
Yorubas say nigbati nigbati when they speak and nigbati is a Yoruba word
ajaokuta ko, ewekoro ni! Ajeokutamamumi in its conotative meaning means somebody who takes a lot of food without taking water or takes little water.
Many igbo in the southwest answere okoro. It is always on nairaland and sometimes in film that i do hear the Yoruba and Yoruba. Anyway, they are fun to me.

berem: i heard another version of the story. can't remember who told me but i was told during the war, igbos were seen begging for water from the hausas. I mean igbos who were still in the north during the war. the igbos would ask* nye m mmiri*. which means* give me water*.
ya! This is the best and most truthful rational behind the reason. At least it sounds and blends with the environmental circumstance of the name and issue that warranted it.

Politics › Re: My Fake Campaign Posters, ACN Handiwork – Obanikoro by Tolexander: 2:10pm On Jan 22, 2013
something is going on in nigeria nowadays and i notice i started immediately we entered into this year, january 1 to be precised.
It started with our amiable president, GEJ(PDP), we woke up to see his posters flying about everywhere in Abuja, he came up to deny it. Now, it is Obanikoro(PDP). Who else? We dont know.
Though we know these people are nursing the ambition to contest the elections which is obvious to the nigerians. Are they trying to play games on our intelligence to observe their ambition's acceptability putting forward the poster or this is a result of paranoia? Could there be a smoke without a fire?
One annoying thing is that some people will still go on to vote for these people who could not bravely and courageously support their ambitions initially.
Politics › Re: Governor Kassim Shettima Of Borno Meets With Boko Haram Leaders by Tolexander: 1:46pm On Jan 22, 2013
how many leaders have boko haram self? Yesterday a boko haram leader was shot dead, Today u hear one is arrested and tomorrow, another news that they will be tried in court.
The region's top politicians are the sponsors of these sects. They know them, but decieving us they are having a meeting with one mohamad, audu and co that are not real boko haramist but an arrangee, all because they want to open a channel through which the state allocation would be siphoned claiming they spent it on terrorism, meetin and dialoguing with the boko haramist and granting them amnesty to pacify them.

DigitalSignal: Ladies won't kill us with their dressing! It's not enough for them makeing us (the normal ones) go crazy about them, but now even a mad man can't control himself again! Chai! Why have they started arousing sexual feelings in mad men with their dressing? E no easy for mad men again o! Imagine a mad man running after a lady in the street shouting, ''No way, she can't just make my thing stand like this and go! I must do her; i must free myself from this''! Wow, mad men are in trouble these days that ladies have added another dimension to their madness by dressing so provocatively with the intention to 'kill' the men! We're ready to die admiring you *Chuckles* but, please spare the mad men on the street. On this fateful day, a lady just alighted from a taxi. A mad man was sitting some distance away from where the taxi stopped for her to alight. Right from when she alighted, this mad man had been looking at her, but when she got closer he started behaving funny; he scratched his head and gave a kind of smile that suggested something was tickling him inside! He buried his hands in his trousers and started playing with something around his waist where that thing which can find satisfaction only in the body of a woman is! As she walked past him and put some distance between them, he got up! He looked into the sky, his mouth moving but no one heard what he was saying! At that time the man between his legs had been so provoked that it assumed different dimensions and was struggling to go 'hunting'! The next thing we heard from him was, ''Waitin'', his hands placed over the enlarged area around his waist, ''how can this girl do this to me? This thing can't remain like this, no way''! He started running towards her saying those words above. Looking back and seeing that the mad man was running after her, she started running too! ...It's bad enough they're mad but why are the ladies adding more to it? Ladies why una com ad anoda dimension to their madness with una dressing? E gud like dat, ehn?
u be real nollywood film writer? Just hang guys for suspense with no imagined and fantasized story ending.
Did the madman catch the lady?
If he caught the lady, did he do anything?
If he did anything, what style did he use since it is on the road where there is no place of comfort?
You think say madman no sabi differentiate paradise from hell!
Politics › Re: State Creation A Must – David Mark by Tolexander: 7:34am On Jan 22, 2013
Plenty wives plenty problems.
Assuming these states are created base on the interest of the developement of the areas involved, it will be better rather than the political reasons and justifications like distribution of national cake, 'my town must be a state capital' syndrom and co.

Creation of more states in nigeria is not the solution to the problem of diversified cultural group in each state and bringing the federal government administration closer to the people, but a situation and avenue to empower the lesser priviledged men in their parent state and make them stronger than the other less priviledged.
After the creation of the new states, what else? Embezzlement, money laundering and corruption. In what way has the creation of the 6 states in october 1st 1996 which are the latest states matched the standard and developement of the preexisting states or solve the problem they are meant to solve?

Can't understand what David Marks problem is with verbal disburse of state creation of everywhere he visits.
