One of the many outcomes of CPC, ACN, ANPP and co merging. You start seeing every dry leave appearing green, everyman just becoming innocent overnight. But notwithstanding, a bleached dark rat will still retain its internal colour cos only its external colour has changed. |
That is going to be a calamity to the economy of our nation which can lead to total paralysis due to the overdependence on oil. But our government is myopic to examine the effect of this US plan in the long run and will also be clueless to start to consider the next line of action to be taken if US decide to actualise their plan. |
0lumide: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/~tasni22m/classweb/world_politics/politicalculture.htmlwao! This is great! lol! Nigeria where you see a bike ridder almost being hit by a nissan armanda calling the driver olosi(wretched fellow) who is wretched between them? A nation where a chelsea fan will say stoke city can't beat 'me' as if he is Abrahimovic. A country where a couple will collectivety give birth to a child and the husband will say woman, come and carry your child as if he isn't the father. A society where the husband will be recieving #100 per month with the woman recieving a wage of #1000 per day, and the woman still looking up to the man for the children's school fees, home management allowance and 'owo obe' Without the wife contributing any of her pay. A community where the religious leader has 4 private jets and the members with no bicycle knowing not what to take for dinner would be told to make a #1000 contribution for the religious leader's birthday party and mum's funeral ceremony. A club where a #5 stealer is a thief but a $1 billion mismanager is an hero. A kingdom where a dog will not try to chase a squirel but try to chase the shadow of the flying hawk thinking it will catch the hawk (trying to be metaphorical here with our useless leaders that abandon meaninful/achievable projects to do unachievable ones) A site where most things done don't affect the price of garri. |

there have been a media reaction to the statement anyway. Comparing their demand to the yoruba's compensation to field two different candidates for the 1999 election is not realy mature enough. I think they need putting their house in order. |
The Joint Task Force, JTF, code named Operation Pulo Shield, Saturday, launched an operation along the creeks and waterways of Delta and Bayelsa states, leading to the seizure of three vessels and destruction of 362 illegal refineries. The operation was carried out simultaneously in the Kolokolo, Bisigo, Igbomatoru, Sagana areas of the two states. Also raided by the men of the JTF were the Ogbokodo creek and the Ugbokolo area of Delta State. Many of the indigenes of the area panicked at the sight of armed soldiers and heavy gun boats, but were assured by the soldiers of their safety. The spokesperson for the JTF in the region, Lt. Col. Oyeama Nwachukwu, said the action was new as it is part of the strategy of the newly deployed commander, Major General Bata Debiro. File photo: JTF destroying illegal refineries in Niger Delta communities. File photo: JTF destroying illegal refineries in Niger Delta communities. “The operation led to the destruction of 362 illegal oil cooking ovens usually referred to as local refineries in Kolokolo area and Bisigbo in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State; Igbomatoru, in Ijaw South Local Government and Sangana in Bayelsa State,”Nwachukwu stated. ”Three vessels and seven barges engaged in oil theft were also scuttled by troops of the JTF in Opobo River, Bonny Local Government of Rivers State and Tomkiri in Brass Local Government of Bayelsa state.” ”The operation also led to the scuttling of 75 wooden boats (Cotonu boats) conveying illegally siphoned petroleum products at Ogbokodo creek and Ugbokolo areas of Warri South West of Delta state. 175 suspects were arrested in the operation and handed over to prosecuting agencies for litigation.” The JTF spokesman also noted that the new commander of the JTF, Debiro, had unfolded his strategy to stamp out illegal oil bunkering in the Niger Delta. ”The new commander averred that he would be highly mobile and fluid in the fight against illegal oil bunkering. He stated that sitting like a lame duck in the office is not his approach and had already embarked on an appraisal tour of troops’ deployments including Naval Forward Operational Bases (FOB) in Brass, Bonny, and Escravos. The tour also took him to Nigerian Navy Ship Delta in Warri, and to amphibious troops of 3 and 146 Battalions and 343 Regiment of Nigerian Army deployed in Warri, Bonny Island and Nembe respectively,”he said. ”The commander of the multi-agency security outfit, while on courtesy visit to military formation commanders, security agencies and traditional rulers’ council in Bayelsa State Capital, Yenagoa during the week, General Debiro stated, unequivocally, that his mission is portrayed in the four-word directive of President Goodluck Jonathan to the task force to ‘STOP ILLEGAL OIL BUNKERING’. “Nigeria is the only country where people engage in oil theft with the connivance of our country men and we must put an end to it”. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/01/crude-oil-theft-jtf-seizes-three-vessels-destroys-362-illegal-refineries/ |
pro01: Angola is Africa's largest oil exportern Most Expensive Most Influential Most Popular National Rich List Poorest List Rich Countries The Biggest The Featured Home > Articles > Business > Highest Oil-Producing Countries In Africa 2011 Highest Oil-Producing Countries In Africa 2011 By The Richest on September 16, 2011 Highest Oil-Producing Countries In Africa 2011 This entry is the total oil produced in barrels per day (bbl/ day) as of January 1, 2011. The discrepancy between the amount of oil produced and/or imported and the amount consumed and/ or exported is due to the omission of stock changes, refinery gains, and other complicating factors. #1. Nigeria Barrels per day: 2,211,000 Nigeria produces 2.2 million gallons of oil per day, placing them 12th among producers. But they are the 4th biggest exporter, exporting 2.1 million barrels each day. Much controversy has surrounded oil production in Nigeria. Most recently Royal Dutch Shell is on the defensive following a $100 million fine imposed by a Nigerian court for a 1970 oil spill. Also, past reports show that militants have attacked pipelines and kidnapped oil employees, cutting into Nigeria’s oil production. Last year, a military attack in Nigeria’s Oil Delta killed up to 150 people. #2. Algeria Barrels per day: 2,125,000 Algeria produces 2.1 million barrels of oil daily. In 2010, Algeria’s president fired the CEO and top managers of the state- owned oil firm Sonatrach following a corruption scandal. #3. Angola Barrels per day: 1,948,000 Angola produces 1.9 million barrels of oil daily, and export 1.8 million barrels, placing them at # 7 on the world’s list of exporters. #4. Libya Barrels per day: 1,790,000 Libya produces 1.7 million barrels of oil per day, while exporting 1.2 million barrels daily. ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn took over the post of African Union chairman on Sunday, replacing Benin’s President Thomas Boni Yayi in the one-year post. “It is with a great sense of honour and humility that I accept the chairperson of our union,” Hailemariam told leaders at the AU summit meeting. “I wish to express my heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to serve this half-a-century-old organisation for the next one year.” Yayi, the outgoing AU chair, hugged Hailemariam and said he will “succeed brilliantly in his mission in pushing us forward in our agenda for unity, peace, stability and development of our continent”. Hailemariam takes over at the AU just five months after emerging from being a relatively little known politician to run his nation after the death of his mentor Meles Zenawi. A protege of Meles, Hailemairam has managed an apparently smooth transition with little major change in policy from Meles, who had ruled with an iron fist since toppling dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam in 1991. Hailemariam, a former water engineer, has defied critics who feared instabilty in Ethiopia, taking over leadership of his country in a rare peaceful handover of power for the Horn of Africa nation. Before becoming prime minister, Hailemariam was president of Ethiopia’s Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region, and was appointed to be deputy prime minister and foreign minister in 2010 after the ruling coalition party’s fourth win, a landslide victory.(AFP) http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/01/ethiopian-leader-hailemariam-desalegn-elected-au-chairman/ |
this is no more coat of arm but tattoo of harm sorry tattoo of arm! |
also Adenuga resigns as the ceo of globacom. |
but these guys were part of the past administration. El Rufai tried his best in the beautification of the FCT, but he still had some flaws. While Ribadu turned himself to a political weapon to witchhunt the opponents. Wondering how they grew up to be a critics and saints. But i think Buhari's stand on the 2015 presidential election should be properly verified cos if not. I pray he wont just emerge after the consensus agreement between the opposition parties has been reached to tell us he still wants to contest. |
Eze Promoe: Just saw these on a Yoruba thread. Translate please.guy! You aren't serious. You understand yoruba, you are only pretending. |
it is simple, you said federal estates which belong to the federal government. They own the sole responsibility to renovate them. Eni ti o ba bi omo oran ni o ma n pon(he that gives birth to a disabled child bears the responsibility to take care of the child) |
they are still meaningful to him anyway. But I DEY LAUGH O! |
taharqa: Plz, always learn to keep yr mouth SHUT if you do not know what you are talking about. Its actuali a Virtue..try to learn how to respond with sense. |
Some lecturers are also involved and have use their positions to coerce students into joining cult groups.Cult activities go beyond the students as its ripple effects is evident in the society at large.Almost every politician in Nigeria belongs to one cult or the other.
ok! Just as if am naive of the campus cultism cos it is not really pronounced in OAU. |
students are to be blamed. Cos one is a product of ones choice. Nobody forces another person to be initiated into a cult if one comports oneself and act justly. It is a matter of choice. |
to me, the privitization seems to be rubbish. Cos there is no difference between the would be PHCN and the new handlers cos it is just a another way to sell the Nigerian masses to the rich men(highest bidders and political allies to the goverment) . What is the essence of privatization with no competition? An area given to the extortor to monopolize its power and start to squeeze the area's scrotum as he likes. We want the telecommunication type of privatization. |
babyosisi: Angola is a white countryangola is an African country, southern part of the continent. How are we so sure the Angolan president daughter, 40-year- old Isabel dos Santos, is not like the situation of Mohamed Abacha. Cos African leaders are something else with money. |
Jarus: Interview with 'illiterate, cattle-rearing, Sudan-schooled, aboki, quota system produced' CBN bossplease, can we gat the transcription in written? |
short cake and okin. Mum used to give us when goin to skul back then in nursery/early primary skul and it was being sold for #2 then. But we would prefer to be given #1 so that we could use it to buy baba dudu/pupa, loli, eyin alangba, ajemumi, gudigudi and co. The funny thing though i dont do it again(cos maturity don show) is that we would rush the woman selling them and pack all the above mentioned snacks and keep them telling the seller we only took one snack giving her #1 for the snack we showed her. |
Dede1: Above post is a case of failure in life talking about imaginary failed leaders.can you please answer my question sir? Is nigeria a failed state or not? |
Eziachi: I am afraid, Nigeria was created and programmed not to work.no human society is created to succeed due to many individual differences, even twins seldom get a disagreement but understanding is the solution. Each individual answering his father's name is not even the 'final' solution. Just like the issue of two brothers that decided to fight their uncle cos he selfishly claimed their father's land. When the land was retrieved, the twins then had to face a bigger task of how the land would be shared. If the nation is broken along its tribal planes, does that mean each tribe won't have to face it's internal differences? E.g somalia which is still considered to have an homogeneous society |
what about the 13year Egyptian girl and sani Yerima? Since it isn't a rape, the pronounced jugdment is stil fair enough. But his orientation concerning women should be changed. Wondering how religion is misguilding some young people when it is meant to liberate them from evil and ignorance. |
theolar: From Sagamu in Ogun state we have ifokore or ikokore ( waTer yam porridge)ijebu i guess? Mum seldom prepare the food but i dont really like it anyway though every member of my family likes it. May i know how it is prepared? |
