what an ironical irony! PDP have forgotten achievement is like a beacon that will always be conspicuous even from a far distance. Empty barrel only makes a noisy sound and nuisance when hit, the filled and full barrel doesn't realy make audible sound when hit. Which means governmental projects and administrations are not what the press need conveying to the people but what the people can see themselves. |

The President has no liver at all to decide on his own. Well! What does one expect from a man that had no future ambition of political leadership that was handpicked for almost all the offices he held and building the only wishful election he contested for on the manifesto of having no shoes when he was young. Well a chaff will aways be blown anywhere by the slight and stormy wind depending on the directional direction. |

In every part of the world, there is always a food that is popular with the people which may be as a result of the abundance of the ingredient used in preparing the food e.g fish in the riverine areas or as a result of the tradition/culture attached to it e.g new yam festival in many towns in the south west. My town is Iresi, boluwaduro LG in osun state, the food popular among my people is 'iyan' (pounded yam) and it is prepared by steaming yam before naw pounding in a mortar with pestle. It is often served with egusi or vegetable. I will like to hear out ur contributions |
so na PHCN blackout na e dm go witness? Na 2day dm don dey experience a 7day blackout. When i saw the topic, i thought it was even solar blackout. |
instead of the government to tap the resources from the guy, they will neva think of that until the US airforce snatched him. |
after how many days the song had been released and heard all over the nooks and crannies of the nation. What was the censor board doing during the making of the musics and their videos. Want to tell us the music and video didn't pass through them before they were released to the public? Banning songs that are already considered as dead by people like me that have heard and watch the good things out of them. Just like banning Yussuf Olatunji's 'baby jowo ko wa gbe mi saya' record that was sang in the 70s and 80s. |

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday paid N4.6 million each to the families of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who died following the Suleja bombings during the 2011 general election. The money was paid to the next of kins of the corps members that were used as ad hoc staff during the election. The money was paid by the Finance Department of the commission. Family members were paid under closed doors as members of press were shut out from the ceremony. A source at the INEC Finance Department told THISDAY that the money was part of insurance claims as the corps members who worked as ad hoc staff were insured. The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Kayode Idowu, confirmed the payments to THISDAY. INEC, while presenting the cheques to the families of the victims in Abuja, through an insurance company, Niger Insurance Company Plc, said the money was meant to assist them. The Deputy Director, Insurance and Due Process of Niger Insurance, Mr. Thomas Afanga, who presented the cheques on behalf of the organisation, regretted the incident just as he said INEC was determined to protect its staff in the course of their constitutional assignments. One of the victims’ families who identified himself leader, Dr. Ezeezuemeh Ethelbert, expressed gratitude over the commission’s gesture, saying the money would assist them in no small measure even as he regretted that President Jonathan was yet to fulfil his promise to the surviving victims of the blast. The president had, through former Director General of NYSC, General Ismaila Tsiga, at the presentation of N5 million to the families of those who died during the incident, promised automatic employment to those that survived. another hope, idea and innovation bereft of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Imagine the word 'will provide work for 10 thousand people' as if the centenary celebration is going to be till eternity not minding the celebration is just for at most a year. After the celebration, what is going to be the fate of the circumstantial ceremonial employment created? Back to square 1 to continue hustling in the labour market. So they have the idea to tax the major and minor industries to generate found to finance the celebration but deficient of the idea to generate found to create employment, tackle insecurity, and provide social amenities. After this company taxing, which will generate lot of funds, there will still the a lion part of the national budget earmarked for the godforsaken ceremony, which at the end of the day just little of the money would be spent on it, with the remaining being shared among the godforsaken government. What is even the celebration all about? Imagine a family(nigeria) having many children(hausa, igbo, yoruba, kanuri, ijaw, urhobo, tiv, igala and others at large) that have unity close to 0 percent among them that neva demonstrate any atom of love and doesn't relate with themselves in any form. The parent cos they attained a 100years of matrimonial coexistence planning haw to form an elaborate party. I wonder how disgraceful the party is gonna be. |
ogusbaba1: hmm bro its quite clear d lady killed my brother oo Henry Ogus is clear bros is clear God Knows buhyes! It is quite clear she killed him base on your traditional and spiritual knowlegde which cannot be physically, legally and evidentially backed up in the court of law. So no legal claim she killed him. |
seems channel t.v have forgotten that we are leaving in the world of imperfection which has only corruption to be perfect. Google and dictionaries have a lesser definiton of corruption than the country. |
ogusbaba1: aboy, but d girl killed my brother is clear enuf na, i go burn am oo e non go pass jail tins oo cos if i use mistake see dis girl ehhi undastand u pain, that is why am partaking in the agony. In the court, there is no legal backing for winchkilling cos no obvious evidential action was performed. The jurist will ask you 'did she shoot/hit/stab/poisone/strangle him'? Which the answer(s) is/are no. If you kill the lady, u will be charged to court and the rest of the story is a tie that ascends to the sky that has its source from the hanged horizontal pole ie death by hanging. If you know you want to avenge your brother's death which i dont subscribe to, go and use the source she used. |
there are some forces/circumstances that will determine which culture should be mutually accepted and the one to be jettisoned by the couple. 1. If the man is macho or a chauvinist, there is a percentage very close to the maximum that can be attained that the man's culture is going to be retained. 2. The type of religion they practise also plays a role cos most religion gives the man the highest say in the family making the woman dormant in some of the matrimonial affairs. 3. The environment they stay also has an influence. E.g if the family live in the society where the women rules, there is a likely tendency for the couple to try to blend with the society cos they may not want to be odd. E.g if a yoruba(man)-igbo(woman) couple i.e interethnic couple stay in Abba there is a like tendency for them to practise igbo culture. 4. Parental influence also has a little effect. E.g a couple that have one of the parents staying with them will have a little influence on the couples way of life(culture) base on numerical strength(2 against 1) and parental interference. 5. Parental upbring can also affect which one to be adopted between the cultures eg some children have been infected with the mentality that their culture is not good and worthy to showcase. Anybody with that kind of mentality can easily fall for any culture that comes its way, leaving his culture for another person's culture during nuptial knot. |
ogusbaba1: bro is dis not enuf?sis, it is not too much as a legal counsel! |
oh sorry! Wanted to ask why you can't charge the lady for murder but later realised there wont be any wanton evidence and exhibit against the killer. Maybe we should say she winchkilled your bro. |
