Very good, why don't you also finish the chapter, after the clarification, what did the Jew do?. Now, I'm asking you, since we all are 'gods' likewise angels, why is Jesus always referred to as 'the Son of God'?. You did definite article in school I suppose. Why use it as if He is the only one?. Now, in quoting that verse, you stylishly left out the definite article, why do you guys do this?. Talking about reading the whole passage, after the clarification, let's also see what happened thereafter, which you also left out.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Jesus said, ye are gods in verses 34 & 35. After making the statement that ye are gods, He said '..I am the Son of God, in verse 36, not I am a son, or one of the gods. Tell me are the two statements the same?. Why is he 'the Son of God'?, and the rest, gods?. Why have the Son, when we have many of them?. After repeating the statement again, the Jews still sort to take Him, why?.

If Jesus is not God, what is the essence of this verse of scripture?.

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Why on earth should a non God even think of such to begin with?. Do we then have many Gods and not one?!. You need the Holy Spirit to teach you this properly.

If you do not believe in the deity of Christ, you don't know God, Period!.

My dear, don't be decieved. Jesus is not only the Son of God, but also God. He is a unique person of the God head, just as your spirit is a unique person from your body, and yet one being. Why are you disputing what the bible says. Haven't you read John 1:1-3?.
If there is a personality that should be an expert in the teachings of the relationship that exists among God Almighty, His Only Begotten Son and the Holy Spirit, that personality should be our Lord Jesus Christ. Hear him here in John 14: 8-28;

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Now reading through this I hope you can see Jesus Christ our Lord and SAVIOUR establishing the whole raw truth about his relationship with the Father (God Almighty, Yahweh) and not equating himself as God but the Son of God begotten of God which made him to conclude that "The Father (Yahweh, God Almighty) is greater than him (Jesus Christ)! Please my dear brother, I perceived you are either a Pastor or the Founder of a Church hence, your resistance to simple "corrections in the Lord" we are trying to make you see on this "Trinity Doctrine" you are peddling. Read those scriptures meditatively with an open heart and learn the truth my brother. I will rather believe the Word of Jesus than the Apostles" why? Jesus Christ was A Divine being, a God (not Almighty God), begotten of God not created like the Angels, a powerful Suoernatural Being unlike the Apostles who were mere mortals. Jesus Christ is indeed a loving SAVIOUR who did not peddle falsehood because he came from God!

Christianity Etc › Re: My Take On The Doctrine Of Trinity And Those Saying Jesus Is God Almighty! by tomakint(op): 2:24am On Aug 22, 2018
Primesky:
Hahaha... Please bro., understand what you're talking about first. We're talking about the almighty God here. You see, there goes the twisting I'm talking about. Issac is the only begotten son of who, God or Abraham?. Get your analogy right please.

The way God brought about Jesus is not the same way Abraham brought about Issac. One is the almighty God, the other is a human being. Again, all the angels and all humans, likewise all spirits, including those who have now corrupted themselves, where all brought forth from God directly, that is why they are called sons of God. But for Jesus Christ, He is called 'the Son of God', meaning, He is the full embodiment of God Himself. That is why He could say, whoever have seen me, have seen the Father.

I ask you again, if there exist a Godhead, and this God head is embodied in Jesus Christ as the scriptures said, who and what makes up that Godhead?. If it the be that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him, can He in any way still be different, since He is carrying the fullness of the Godhead?. Please answer it.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

For your questions in 2, 3, & 4 above, I will ask you too, why did the Jews, knowing this, according to you, claim that Jesus was making Himself God?.

Secondly, with what you asked in question three, do you agree that Jesus Christ lied when He by himself, said, I and my Father are one?, the very statement that led the Jews to accuse Him of blasphemy. Please answer that as well.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Even when Jesus said it, you're disputing it. When I say you do not yet truly know the real Jesus Christ, this is the evidence. That you will see a scripture given, and still go ahead to dispute it, all in an attempt to further a creed not supported by the bible.
Next time for clarity purpose try to read more verses to finish off your half quoted verses especially on John 10: 30 - 31 you quoted. If you take the pain to read further you will find the true answer from our Lord Jesus Christ that he never equated himself as God at all but he corrected the misconception from the Jews who accused him of making himself God through the blasphemy allegations when Jesus said; John 10: 32 - 36

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I (Jesus Christ) said, I am the Son of God?

Looking at the last verse and the bolden part you will now understand that Jesus referred to himself as Son of God and not what the Jews accused him of. Primesky detached your soul from dogma but allow the Holy Spirit to teach you the scriptures. Jesus Christ is the Son of God the "Only Begotten Son of God and he is not Yahweh, God Almighty but a different and distinct Supernatural being from God who attained the Status of being worshipped as seen in Revelations when only God his Father transferred such authority unto him so my brother, they are never the same thing as Trinity erroneously teaches you.

According to the OP the external reserve is now at 46bn almost double despite the reduction in oil prices in the last 3 years

According to vanguard below Nigeria debt was $67bn in December 2014
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/n12trn-debt-profile-worsens-nigerias-woes/

And according to the OP the debt is now 63bn

Which means under Buhari our debt has reduced compared to Jonathan disaster regime and our foreign reserve almost double

I'll ignore the insults in your post. It's as a result of your frustration at apparent failure staring at you in the face. Why do you think PDP and GEJ wanted Atiku to contest against GEJ and not Buhari?

Now, let me cure your ignorance.

Atiku contested Presidential primaries under SDP on 92 and stepped down for Mko. He contested in 07, 11 and 15. All those times, he was beaten.

Since Atiku had problems with OBJ, he has never won an election in his home state of Adamawa. In fact, in 2007 Presidential elections, Adamawa gave Yar'Adua more than 500k votes and 300k votes to Buhari, meanwhile Atiku got only 30k votes in his home state. This is despite the fact that he was a sitting Vice President.

Now, someone that got 30k in Adamawa last time is the one you're banking on to deliver Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, Yobe?

Mark my words, if Atiku flies PDP flag in 2019, Buhari would get at least 6M votes higher than Atiku.

I have listened and watched how chronic Buharists keep defending how macho man Buhari is working to ensure Nigeria becomes the darling of the world but the reality on ground keeps pointing towards the opposite reactions, for instance on the heading above here are staggering figures; Nigeria's debt as at June 30, 2018 stood at N22.38 trillion ($63.8 billion) while our "almighty foreign reserve is $46 billion". Now You All Buharists Can See Where Your $46 Billion Foreign Reserve Lies.........do the simple maths and tell us (the reasonable ones) that Buhari knows what he is still doing and why he deserves a second term and not an impeachment before he run this good country aground.

Tinubu was told off early on in the life of this administration by northern elements that he was no way responsible for the emergence of Buhari as President. This will later see Tinubu being relegated by the same Buhari govt only for them to come few months to election to have him on their team.

You see, at best, Tinubu only decieved you idiots to vote an old tyrant. The real job was done by the Obama WH in conjunction with the Brits after much greasing by the Saudis. The North knows this.

At best, Tinubu can be described as a local champion who reigns over you by picking his stooges to occupy every position from motor park chairman to your Obas, legislators and governors.

Politics is all about interest, whether selfish or altruistic. In 2015, Tinubu wanted the vice presidency position while Saraki wanted to become Senate president. They both pursued their personal ambition that is within their rights. Attacking Tinubu based on his 2015 aspiration is plain silly.

As regards 2019, it is again all about interest, selfish or altruistic. Tinubu is supporting Buhari because his group will stand a good chance of getting the presidency in 2023. Igbo's are supporting Atiku with the hope that south east will get the vice presidency and subsequently get the presidency after his tenure. Atiku, Saraki, Tambuwal, Kwakwanso etc all rejoined PDP simply because of their presidential ambition. Power will go back to the south for 8 years if Buhari wins a second term. So, they have to fight it out with him now. Politics is all about interest, alignment, positioning and calculation.
Wrong submission as usual Southwest have slim chance in 2023 it is the time of Igbos after whoever emerges in 2019 but definitely not Buhari (I am too sure of that)!
Politics › The Tinubu Rhetoric: My Response, By Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki by tomakint(op): 4:51pm On Aug 20, 2018
The Tinubu Rhetoric: My Response, by Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki

I have always restrained from joining issues in the media with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and this is based on my respect for him. However, I will not allow him to create a wrong, false and mischievous impression about the reasons for my decision to exit the All Progressives Congress (APC) and present his prejudice as facts for public consumption.

I have been consistent in my complaints to all leaders of the APC, including Tinubu, that a situation where the National Assembly is not constructively engaged or carried along in key policy decisions, particularly those that will eventually require legislative approval, is not in the best interest of the nation. No genuine leader of the legislature will be comfortable that the Presidency will simply write a terse letter to the National Assembly on key issues which the federal legislature is expected to later deliberate upon and give its approval. The Buhari administration consistently treats theSenate
lature with contempt and acts as if the lawmaking body should be an appendage of the Executive. To me, this is unacceptable.

In the same way, I find it very objectionable that many stakeholders who worked strenuously to get the administration into office have now been excluded in the government and not consulted on key decisions as necessary and expected. In fact, some of them are treated as pariahs. A party that ignores justice, equity and inclusion as basic pre-conditions for peace, unity and stability cannot sustain its membership and leadership.

Let me redirect the attention of the former Governor of Lagos State to the aspect of my July 31, 2018, statement announcing my exit from APC in which I emphasized that the decision "has been inescapably imposed on me by certain elements and forces within the APC who have ensured that the minimum conditions for peace, cooperation, inclusion and a general sense of belonging did not exist".

In that statement, I further noted that those APC elements "have done everything to ensure that the basic rules of party administration, which should promote harmonious relations among the various elements within the party were blatantly disregarded. All governance principles which were required for a healthy functioning of the party and the government were deliberately violated or undermined. And all entreaties for justice, equity and fairness as basic precondition for peace and unity, not only within the party, but also the country at large, were simply ignored, or employed as additional pretext for further exclusion. The experience of my people and associates in the past three years is that they have suffered alienation and have been treated as outsiders in their own party. Thus, many have become disaffected and disenchanted. At the same time, opportunities to seek redress and correct these anomalies were deliberately blocked as a government-within-a-government had formed an impregnable wall and left in the cold, everyone else who was not recognized as “one of us”. This is why my people, like all self-respecting people would do, decided to seek accommodation elsewhere".

Tinubu himself will recall that during the various meetings he had with me at the time he was pursuing reconciliation within the APC, I raised all the above issues. I can also vividly recall that he himself always expressed his displeasure with the style of the government and also mentioned that he had equally suffered disrespect from the same government which we all worked to put in office. I also made the point that whatever travails I have gone through in the last three years belong to the past and will not shape my decisions now and in the future.

However, during those meetings, the point of disagreement between Tinubu and I is that while I expressed my worries that there is nothing on ground to assure me that the administrative style and attitude would change in the next four years in a manner that will enable us to deliver the positive changes we promised to our people, he (Tinubu) expressed a strong opinion that he would rather 'support a Buhari on the hospital stretcher' to get a second term because in 2023, power will shift to the South-west. This viewpoint of Tinubu’s was not only expressed to me but to several of my colleagues. So much for acting in national interest.

It is clear that while my own decision is based on protecting the collective national interest, Tinubu will rather live with the identified inadequacies of the government for the sake of fulfilling and preserving his presidential ambition in 2023. This new position of Tinubu has only demonstrated inconsistency — particularly when one reviews his antecedents over the years.

Again, let me reiterate my position that my uncertain and complex relationship with Tinubu has been continually defined by the event of 2014 when myself and other leaders of the APC opposed the Muslim-Muslim ticket arrangement about to be foisted on the APC for the 2015 polls. It should be noted that he has not forgotten the fact that I took the bull by the horns and told him that in the interest of the country, he should accept the need for the party to present a balanced ticket for the 2015 General Elections in terms of religion and geo-political zones. Since that time he has been very active; plotting at every point to undermine me, both within and outside the National Assembly.

It is a surprise to me that Asiwaju Tinubu is still peddling the falsehood about the fact that my defection is about automatic ticket and sharing of resources. Members of the public will recall that when the issue of my decision to quit APC came to the fore and many APC leaders were holding meetings with me, a newspaper owned by the same Tinubu published a false report about the promise of automatic tickets, oil blocks and other benefits. I immediately rebutted their claims and categorically stated that I never discussed any such personal and pecuniary benefits with anybody. My challenge that anybody who has contrary facts should come forward with them still remains open.

It should be known that Democracy is a system that allows people to freely make their choices. It is my choice that I have decided to join others to present a viable alternative platform for Nigerians in the coming elections. Tinubu and leaders of the APC had better respect this decision or lawfully deal with it. As for me, Allah gives power to whom He wishes. Human beings can only aspire and strive to fulfill their aspirations.

Signed:

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON
President of the Senate

@BuhariMediaORG should ask their principal the following questions:

“What is he afraid of in the very progressive proposals contained in the Electoral Bill?”

“Why does he want to frustrate the 2019 election by not signing the much-needed enabling laws into effect?”

For the record, it is necessary to state that the Buhari Media Organization (@BuhariMediaORG), in its failed attempt to mislead the public, has been crying more than the bereaved.

During this process, INEC, that will utilize the funds and conduct the proposed elections has stated that it is confident and comfortable with the thorough and transparent response exhibited by the National Assembly.

Finally, it is necessary to once again emphasize that the public will continue to see through all attempts to mislead them with empty political grandstanding that is detrimental to the adherence to due process that the National Assembly’s leadership is committed to upholding.”[/b]

After reading this part, I must confess, Saraki is the best Senate President to ever emerge in the political history of this Country. Woe betide this useless government of Buhari and his cabals. I hope my BMCs crews here can read and understand for once in their lives. Saraki got this one CORRECT! grin

Politics › Re: 2019: PDP And The Dilemma Of Picking Presidential Candidate by tomakint: 2:26am On Aug 18, 2018
No thinking about it based on the laid down framework for picking the presidential hopeful of PDP, I think and strongly believe it will be a tight race between Atiku and kwankwanso and I am of he opinion based on the structures they possess nationwide already, Atiku will emerge. If Atiku emerges cleanly and clearly, Kwankwanso will collapse his structure into Atiku's and I can assure Nigerians especially BMCs crews that Buhari is toast already

Two years ago, i corrected someone on this .
First Abba kyari is an alias, which also can be used as a name.
Like saying Omo oba Eko, Nwa Aro Okeigbo or kalu Uduma.
Any prince of lagos can answer Omooba Eko. A generic name.
Abba means prince in Kanuri, Kyari refers to Yerwa (Maiduguri) resident.
Abba kyari literarily means Maiduguri prince or you say Maiduguri Man/person.
The three Abba Kyari's.
There are many people from Maiduguri answering Abba Kyari, but the three in the public eye are;
(1) Brigadier general Abba Kyari. 80, retired soldier, administrator and former military governor of the northeastern region. His son Abubakar (Habu Kyari) , former commisioner in Borno state, former chief of staff to the Borno state governor, currently APC Senator representing Borno North and chairman senate commitee on defence.
(2) Mallam Abba kyari. 68 london educated, former commisioner for Agriculture in Borno state, former Managing Director of UBA , currently chief of Staff to the president.
(3) DCP Abba Kyari 42. Super cop and Nigeria's Jack Bauer. University of Maiduguri educated , former commander SARS lagos state.
Commander IG's response squard.
Godogodo, Vampire, Evans ,Ofeakwu. Were among the notorious criminals that he has apprehended.
This should clear the confusion with regards to the different Abba kyaris.
This is insightful but I will leave this thread like this until I have clarified your points. Thanks
