Politics › Re: A Manifesto For APC To Adopt: My Vision For Nigeria by tomakint: 11:48pm On Feb 23, 2013
@op, that's a yeoman job you put up their in as much as the points you raised are valid and realizable I still concur that under this 'wasteful Presidential system of government' those points might remain tall dreams in our polity! Corruption alone is enough to rubbish those lofty ideas and must be ruthlessly crushed! However, I want to state that, a democracy by 'Nigerian Standard' is the bane of our structural developments! Good job cool

Politics › Re: Before The Centenary Celebration By Chris Okotie by tomakint: 11:21pm On Feb 23, 2013
@ op, a brilliant piece from you! To start with, the amalgamation was a big mistake that was hurriedly done without due consultations, however, Nigeria as a nation marking her centenary come 2014, January 1st will be an epoch celebration in the history of a country that survived many political upheavals over the years! If you ask me, it would have been sweet if Nigeria can be named among the 'developed nations' going by the human and natural resources we possess. Unfortunately, this is not to be!
Politics › Re: Do You Think Jonathan Should Listen To Prophecies And Not Contest In 2015. by tomakint: 11:06pm On Feb 23, 2013
Prophecy or not, if Jonathan can keep at the pace he is going till 2014 ending, I can bet not even '1000 opposition parties' can stop him! If you ask me, I will say yes he deserves a second term cool
Politics › Re: Gay Rights Or Wrongs by tomakint: 10:20pm On Feb 23, 2013
And I'm not trying to support gay rights too. But a good part of our "morals" is guided by religion. In fact the excuses given for gay rights are becoming persistently more convincing considering the society that we live in that tell us humans are just mere animals that evolved from apes. With religion out of the way, what argument can u possibly have against gay rights?
I never knew evolution theory is still in vogue! Men poking men is barbaric religion or not!
Politics › Re: Mark: State Of Origin Should Be Abolished In Nigeria by tomakint: 8:47pm On Feb 23, 2013
I thought this man was a born Nigerian, methink he is acting funnily these days! Definitely what he is talking about is highly impossible in Nigeria of today based on the delicate nature of our diversities cool
Politics › Re: Mimiko, Ladoja, Obi To Defect To PDP by tomakint: 7:12pm On Feb 23, 2013
Aderostock: I don't know why you reason at all. ACN had no presence in Ondo prior to the election, hence, PDP and LP to Ondo people, even with that, they were able to vote for ACN just a little behind PDP that has been known to them for many years. ACN: 13000+ while PDP: 14000+
Who told u dat? Even if ACN has been in Ondo 4 donkey years that would still not stop the beating from PDP! Politics in Ondo is diff from d way u take it 2 b! Ondos are sophisticated people politically

Politics › Re: Gay Rights Or Wrongs by tomakint: 6:25pm On Feb 23, 2013
@ op I have not in anyway lord my christianity's views on the subject matter (read my post again) all I am trying to pass across is that; excuses given on gay's right is damn too shallow and bland, for crying out loud if few animals are exhibiting those traits are we (humans) not wiser? Morally, there is no justification for being gay, its simply a habit that can be checked! cool

You couldn't have captured it better, trust me that guy is as dunce and stu.pid as his master (dayokanu) I still find it difficult to believe he is Yoruba, he is always quarrelsome and most times incoherent in his posts! I think he needs help! I call him 'airhead' cool
Politics › Re: Mimiko, Ladoja, Obi To Defect To PDP by tomakint: 5:54pm On Feb 23, 2013
Once he defects to PDP, APC will win Ondo. Nobody likes to hear PDP, it's evil!
Definitely, you know diddly squat about political happenings in Nigeria! Is it not the same PDP that kicked ACN to 3rd position in d last gubernatorial election in Ondo State? Iroko is definitely defecting to PDP on the long run and I know Ondo people will never join the 'slave trade of Tinubu' the more reason ACN lost in Ondo State cool
Politics › Re: Nigeria Beyond 2015: To Be Or Not To Be by tomakint: 5:29pm On Feb 23, 2013
belovedaja: what is the will of god?
That is one sick thing about this country, always fond of hinging issues they can thrash out into the hand of a supernatural being when God has given us the wherewithal to fix our lives! If the entity called Nigeria cease to be by 2014 so be it! One thing is sure and real, the 'Amalgamation of 1914 had never united us for once'! cool
Politics › Re: Nigeria Beyond 2015: To Be Or Not To Be by tomakint: 5:23pm On Feb 23, 2013
It's painful anytime I come across topic like this, abinitio, Nigeria was not meant to be! The 'marriage' was carried out by our colonial masters as a political permutations and combination to favour a particular region (core north) over the rest of us forgetting that we are a people with diverse and delicate political and cultural vicissitudes! In that marriage, a seed of discord was sown now look at us today! I have never believed in one Nigeria and never will cool

cdoffx: @Northsharp
first let me point to you that the fact that corruption and betrayal is the order in Nigeria or yoruba politics does not make it right. even though some say Ojukwu really fueled it cos of his desire to rule.Awolowo's respected by many Yorubas but he's also power thirsty 2 rule a big Nigeria
You are the true son of ur father for saying the truth without mincing word! May ur days be long cool
MajoR Nzeogwu, †ђε hEro of our time
Wao, you couldn't av captured it better, I love everything about that man, a true hero indeed! We lost him because he was surrounded by 'chameleons' who pretended they share his views! Nzeogwu remains one of Nigeria's few finest soldier! May his soul continue to rest in peace! cool

I will not give this topic a layman approach but I could recalled when this same topic came up for debates on a different forum that is frequented by 'whites' i discovered that the views of most Europeans to the gay right issue is borne out of a wayward spirit which holds no water! I tried to argue that its an habit that can be 'outgrown and dropped' but they believed its a way of life that is genetic hence you must live with it, Biblically, its a practise God frowns out and attracts punishments!
