As much as I respect Pastor Tunde Bakara (afterall, I attend Latter Rain whenever I am in Lagos), he goofed when he cross carpeted from a plan he told us way back in 2008 during one of our Sunday Meetings that he intends to float a new party he tagged New Nigeria Democratic Party (NNDP) only for him to veer off the idea to queue behind Buhari, no doubt he is ambitious to be involved in the political scheme of things in Nigeria, no doubt he wouldn't mind to occupy that exalted position of 'The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria' little wonder when he coined his favourite hymn for Nigeria, "Nigeria will flourish again......."! However, my reservation is that why not hold on to your initial plan of the party he told us then then by now he would have flourished by now, I also believe that most times in any political climes, social critics hardly made any way politically, they are just good at their jobs....constructive critics, my point ![]() |
Tunde Bakare - The Nairaland 2012 Hall of Fame Inductee CAN keeps confirming the notion that they've become an appendage of the PDP with every single utterance of theirs. While poverty, corruption, crime etc is on the increase, CAN has become an attack-puppy for the PDP, engaging in petty verbal fist-cuffs with perceived enemies of the PDP-led FG. Shame on CAN!! Shame on the bling-bling flaunting, cocaine-sniffing morrafoccker who parades his criminal self as CAN's president!!!
You are finished for spewing out this putrid drivel without any proof! ![]() |

..The principle of egalitarianism was more pronounced when Nigeria was under regionalism, at least going by what obtains in each region. Ironsi scattered that wonderful platform and Gowon watered it to maturity by his creation of 12 states, a precedent that led to Nigeria’s precarious situation till date. No thanks to these two soldiers! You will agree with me that, a belligerent Nigeria is what this present arrangement (a too powerful central government plus a multi-coloured system of government) has turned Nigeria into. I would have preferred to see a more united and purposeful Nigeria entrenched in the principle of egalitarianism but with this present arrangement? No way! I would rather be a staunch supporter of a bloodless divided Nigeria; I believe Nigeria can divide peacefully! What many emotional-laden Nigerians have failed to understand is that we only practiced with regionalism that favoured federalism for 6 years, if we had stay a little longer with it, by now we (as a Nation) would have been the “real giant of Africa” and a force to be reckoned with economically in the comity of nations! The bane of our structural developments is corruption and it is deeply rooted in our current system of government, we need total overhauling probably a 'Plebiscite' on the next line of action! We need a broad-based approach to issues on ground, trust me, Nigerians are wiser now and more in-tune with events therefore, a way forward is a people-oriented programme |
cameronese: Pls when you talk of putting into place, do not forget that except for the help of Cameroon who block The Biafran Seaway, except for the use of federal might and the support of international community, and the assistance of the Yorubas, Housa/Fulani could have been a history by now.Guy you too funny, did you just typed 'think' I don't think an average aboki engage their 'basic cognitive skills' you should know now ![]() |
onatisi: this is real real good news for pdp.everything is just working according to plan, better deal with the opposition as one than as splinter groups.Abeg tell babies in the house oooo before it is too late! |
mbakwe: THE NORTH IS AT IT AGAIN, GOODLUCK WATCH YOUR BACK,PURE POLITICS..... SHINE UR EYES.Guy nothing dey happen to that man, Goodluck Jonathan, their wings (Northerners) have been finally clipped, if they have the balls make dem touch that man, then I will come and divide Nigeria myself ![]() |
SlyIg: you're What? PDP?Nope I am not a party man in Nigerian Politics, I believe this 'system of government' is sick and damn too expensive to take us out of the woods! and you? |
For the records, I am not a fan of any party be it PDP, ACN, APGA, CPC and all that! But this Jonathan, he will always have my support, I see Jonathan as that man who will eventually break the monopolization of Nigerian party politics into shreds, not even the merger of the other parties can fix this country's problem. In the area of basic amenities; potable water, power supply, working private sectors, good roads, etc previous governments have failed us but would rather leave Nigeria worse than the way they met it! Now Jonathan has began to work on those ailing basic amenities destroyed by previous governments, but goons in the house will not let him rest! |
Sky Rider: Strange bed fellows., The in- fighting follows almost immediately.ooooohhh lIke say you know wetin dey my mind!!! Omo I go dey for the sideline and keep watching as events unfold ![]() |

Great Job, President Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, may you live long to see the Nigeria of your dreams ( a Nigeria that will be among the best of Nations) come 2019! This man is working, no human-demons can over-shadow his MERITS! ![]() |
CyberG: There is no way a leaking basket will be full even if you pour more water into it. Retardeen, all the crap you talked about is no good if as corruption and thievery is eating the land: sweeping Ribadu report under the table, # 4 B for your useless fat wife, 1 B for feeding, 9 B for Sambo, $67 B squandered (Ezekwesili), police college rot which you pretended about, set up another useless committee, tribal scandals which you secretly encourage: Ihejirika, customs; you don't give a damn to declare your assets a clear violation of Nigerian laws and lack of leadership by example, moronic display and retardeen if lies on CNN while ignoring Nigeria media, disillusionment of Nigerians by your fellow accursed goons like Abati, Okupe, Omokri, Beafass, Insincere Nigerian, ETC. So all your long epistle on FB is bullshit and Nigerians and foreigners aint buying it!!Why are you taking your usual overdose of 'mumuquin' to a suicidal level this boy! So ti ya were ni? You asked this, they give you facts, you complain about that, they supply something on a contrary yet you are so overwhelmed in your mumuism just for the fun of it! Men you are one of a kind, mi o ri iru e ri, o ya to se niyan! ![]() |

nagoma: Common tomato they cannot grow. What is your problem 'funky Mallam' how many times am I going to educate you on this forum? I will like to be specific now, just follow me; 1) About 30% of the Core North are disabled beggars; 2) About 10% of the Core North are able-bodied beggars (Almajiris); 3) About 15% of the Core North are graduates (be it B.Sc, Masters and PhD holders); 4) About 30% of the Core North are gainfully employed (despite having a mere 15% who are graduates, making the remaining 15% ghost workers); 5) About 10% of the Core North are self-employed (starting from your mai-suya, mai-tea, ram sellers, money-changers, traders etc); 6) While the remaining 5% of the Core North consists of the following (your elders, those few elite class controlling your destinies, the unknown several business men, your few second Royal Fathers and those politicians) Now tell me what is GOOD about your CORE NORTH? I am waiting………………….. N.B: When I say CORE NORTH I mean the following states; Adamawa (North), Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna (North), Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger (North), Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara. |
kettykings: My brother the thing tire me ,for some years i have been searching all around to find just 1 single thing the Hausa/Fulani has contributed to Nigeria and up till now i still can not find any single thing beyond Rioting ,Boko Haram , inflated census figure, struggling for the wealth of Niger Delta and occupying Military post and Political officesThere is time for everything, now it is pay-back time years back it was there turn messing up with the rest of us at least going by the facts below; At independence, it was also obvious that only the group that controlled the Army could aspire to run a stable Nigerian government. Either by coincidence or by design, almost all the military installations were concentrated in one area of the country - The North. To illustrate this fact, below is a list of major military installations in Nigeria and their locations before the January 1966 coup: Northern Nigeria: 1. 3rd Battalion - Kaduna 2. 5th Battalion - Kano 3. 1 Field Battery (Artillery) - Kaduna 4. 1 Field Squadron (Engr.) - Kaduna 5. 88 Transport Regiment - Kaduna 6. Nigerian Defense Academy - " 7. Ordinance Depot - " 8. 44 Military Hospital - " 9. Nigeria Military Training College -" 10. Recon Squadron & Regt - " 11. Nigerian Air Force - " 12. Ammunition Factory - " 13. Recruit Training Depot - Zaria 14. Nigerian Military School - " Western Nigeria: 1. 4th Battalion - Ibadan 2. 2 Field Battery (Arty) -Abeokuta 3. 2 Recon Squadron -" Eastern Nigeria: 1st Battalion - Enugu If dem like make dem meet from now till eternity, the era of the 'flawed quota system' is over for good it is now the era of 'merit-based system' EOD ![]() |

Idokojimmy: This is what a president who has the interest of his people at heart does. He goes all out to protect them Welldone GEJ. They must not die in their hands.I can't remember the numbers of Nigerians wasted by foreign governments during the Obasanjo's inglorious reign, the case of then 19-year old Tochukwu came to mind, while Mbeki was able to get the South Africans caught along this Nigerian out of the 'noose' Obasanjo was busy 'negotiating' from Abuja, I can bet this man will deliver! ![]() |
Trust me that man is smarter than that! They will all fall flat like a pack of cards before him when the time is ripe ![]() |
No matter what Jonathan offers positively some goons have confined him into the darkest parts of their hears as a 'misfit' I will be in the sidelines grinning at goons as Jonathan is eventually returned come 2015! I wonder how you expect a mortal to 'fix' the rot that has been bedeviling this country for the past 30 something years in just 2 years I just wonder how our youths reason ![]() |
