thelastPope: All those commenting on this thread based on such a funny story are really really daft! This is the most ridiculous story this year so far? How can the FG setup a committee to reply Ms Oby. Who is she? It just shows how unintelligent and daft people in this forum are. Very shameful!
The more reason I was reading all along and grinning at 'wannabes' in the house wanking off!!!

Politics › Re: Obasanjo Cautions Achebe & Awolowo’s Loyalists Against Civil War Comments by tomakint: 3:48pm On Jan 30, 2013
Ubenedictus: dat is interesting. Do u know dat befor d war broke out awo had succeded in convincing d yorubas to b politically neutral? The yorubas kept their distance from d war until ojukwu decided to go on an adventure into ore. At that point, everything fell, it was as if ojukwu wanted to capture yoruba land! He wasnt going to fight d north, he was going to fight d west. When he attacked ore, all d yorubas said enuf is enuf. Dat was how ojukwu added d yorubas to his list of enemies. Ojukwu would have had a chance if he went directly to da north.
Alagba Ubenedictus, it seems you know a lot about the war that we don't know, perhaps you fought in that ill-fated war! Imagine you telling us now that Ojukwu intended to invade Yoruba land when from all indications his mission was gentlemanly (by sending Banjo-via Wole Soyinka to the treacherous Obasanajo) for passage to Lagos the then seat of power in order to teach the demonic, megalomaniac Hausa-Fulanis a lesson they will never forget, unfortunately the plan failed when Obj betrayed Soyinka into the hands of his Hausa superiors, the more reason plan B was implemented to ward off the 'vandals' from using the mid-west as a launchpad to enter into the then Eastern region. It is too unfortunate that so many revisionists always invade the thread that talks about the Nigerian-Biafran War! Remember that, Awolowo made a promise to Ojukwu that Yorubas will be 'neutral' if a war eventually emerges, unfortunately that was not to be, even Pa Awolowo was an arrow head in the 'war cabinet' of the clown (Gowon)hmmnnnn undecided

safarigirl: Saving this space until I see the 'wack' video, I have no doubts that it will be as hopelessly stewpid as the artiste himself:-D
The same advise we have been giving those "Dbanj apologists" but failed to listen is now manifesting openly before their eyes....what a shame undecided How are you cuty? wink

Capnd143: Just when i thought some nigerian do think!!!

The only way to permanently solve insecurity issues in nigeria is the

* "AGHAN-STYLE" which demands taking the war to their doorsteps; the same Modus operandi employed by the united states to tackle the 'aghan-taliban' menance and not the

*"GANGNAM-STLYE" which entails fighting the war at home alone; the same modus operandi previous employed by the south koreans during the "kangnam" korean secession insurrection.

7BN NAIRA IS NOT MUCH AS COMPARED TO WHAT WE WILL SPEND IF Nigeria turns into a state of anarchy like mali! Believe me some bigots will always critisize the FG on issues like this, but b4 each decision is taken by the FG there is complete analysis of a possible multiplier or ripple effect!

"Ceteris paribus, ell es't vètø vecièr deuf fallacio la un argumentum adhomenum le internationel"

and come oh, y is it dat NTA IS NOT GIVING US LIFE COVERAGE OF OUR MALIAN BASED Troops? Abi no network? Or the they fear death? The western media only covers french troops
I cannot agree less with those sacrosanct points that were clearly stated above, as usual Nairaland is filled with 'young minds' too shallow to pick substance but would rather stubbornly stand on their warped views just for the fun of it undecided never willing to learn and may not learn! Good job!

There is more to marriage than what u have up here, anyway the tail end of this piece makes sense! Men ought to treat their ladies with utmost LOVE, I have always believed that, 'I love you, I love you, and I will always love you, it's all lies' why? Because, 'Love is felt not by saying it but by acting it out' This is my belief and principle cool

solomon111: That is your own way of seeing it.
It can also be infered that GEJ is very democratic, and delegates powers.
That is the future of Nigeria.
We don't need a goliath,or a tyrant who believes he/she is a king ruling over slaves.
Seconded! Jonathan remains a true democrat in the real sense of it, even Obj that was autocratic couldn't stop the sophisticated corruption happening under his nose but they are quick to rubbish Jonathan's cool

Andre Uweh: Imagine senseless soldiers who murdered Ironsi and Fajuyi because of Nigerian The only thing they wanted was 'Araba' or secession Sometimes I only laugh at comments of people in this forum who accuse Ojukwu for lacking focus. Yet the the khaki boys from the north are not mentioned. Nairaland is so full of clowns. Isn't it Tomakint?.
Dat's why I always ask Ojukwu's critics here what would they have done right if they were to be in his shoes then cool
Politics › Re: Nigeria Spent N7bn On Mali Crisis - Jonathan by tomakint: 1:20am On Jan 30, 2013
Considering what IBB spent on Liberia during the Country's civil war in the 90s then one would say Jonathan is spending peanuts, if not for d security measures of this government Boko Haram intends to kick start a war similar to what is happening in Mali now in Nigeria!

@Andre, even after returning from Aburi, Gowon and his cohorts were ready to secede (remember the word 'Araba') and were planning to make Kaduna the new capital, unfortunately, the then Allison Ayida-led Civil Service opened the eyes of the Abokis on the danger it would be for the 'Northerners' which made Gowon to renege on his earlier decisions cool

Stretch mark shouldn't be a big deal and should not be a turn off to 'real guys' it normally occurs during rapid weight gain and pregnancy, fortunately, there are creams around at affordable prices to blend those marks with the colour of ur skin! What then happens if ur 'spotless babe' u so much loved had an accident and loses her 'beauty' you so much love to brag about? Character matters most than outward beauty, take note cool

Sports › Re: Sagamite's Top 30 Greatest African Footballers Of All Time by tomakint:
coogar: kanu shouldn't even be in the top 30 list in my opinion.

he was a bench-warmer in all the big clubs he played for. at ajax, he was a substitute in their champions league victory in 1995. at arsenal, he was even worse and his career at inter milan was nothing to write home about. bebe is doing better at man utd than kanu did in inter. so what's the basis of kanu's greatness? oh yes - the olympic of 1996 - an age grade competition where nigeria was allowed to bully their counterparts with overaged players throughout the squad.

for the national team, kanu did nothing......he was the reason nigeria lost to denmark in france 98...one v one with schmeichel and kanu dropped a clanger. kanu has never scored a tournament goal for naija at senior level. in terms of natural talent, okocha is the better player regardless of which clubs he played for. not every good player would make it to a big club.
For the first time, even though I don't agree with most of your posts on football (especially when the debates on Messi is on) I have to give you thumbs up here, Kanu ko, Kano ni! Nigerians are fond of celebrating foofoos huh Kanu is one of Nigeria's 'overrated striker/midfielder' or whatever they called him, a sluggish footballer that was fortunate to play with football greats (De Boar brothers at Ajax, Ronaldo at Inter, Henry at Arsenal)
