Politics › Re: 2015 Elections: How President Jonathan Will Demolish APC!! by tomakint: 2:08pm On Feb 12, 2013
What makes the views of those victimizing Jonathan's government laughable is that, the merger of those parties was in my own candid opinion ill-timed, why? they will still engage in their usual in-fighting which will definitely portray them in bad light before the electorates. Their emergence (APC) as much as it is good for democracy will only make Jonathan's to work harder knowing fully well that he still has 2 full years ahead to prove himself (which I know he would)! If they had decided to put the merger together somewhere around late 2014 perhaps PDP would have been discombobulated by then and perhaps if Jonathan has not fulfilled most of his manifestos by then definitely APC may have a chance but right now everything, I mean everything is working towards Jonathan's favour! I am watching cool

Politics › Re: Largest NIPP Power Plant To Be Launched In March by tomakint: 4:54pm On Feb 11, 2013
This is a very good news, provided a thorough follow-up is embarked upon after the commissioning! I have always maintained that when OBJ came to power in 1999, the total mega watts (mw) of power supply to the country was 2,800 mw, he had the chance to add another 6,540 mw according to experts (at least going by the oil prices that soared greatly under his administration and other additional grants from foreign partners as a result of our newly grabbed democracy) which would have taken our total electricity generation to a stabilising 9,340 mw. Unfortunately, he squandered this golden chance as a result of his “shadow chasing antics” especially the party politics he was playing and the unnecessary rancour he had with his deputy, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, for more than 3 years and other political associates and opponents. His rudderless style of leadership nearly brought the country on her knees. The history of power injection into the economy dated way back in 1956 when the 60 mw Ijora Thermal Power Station came up, twelve years later (1968), 760 mw was added into the National Grid through the Kainji Hydro Power Project, ten years later in 1978, the 720 mw Ogorode Sapele Thermal Power Project was added. The 540 mw Jebba Hydro Power Station was added in 1985; next was the 1,320 mw Egbin Thermal Power Station in 1987, the 600 mw Shiroro Hydro Power Station came up in 1990 while the 600 mw Ughelli Power Station was added in 1991 making the total 4,600 mw as at the year 1991! From 1991 till date (2012), if not for the corruption that has bedevilled the nation’s system we should be boasting of more than 9,000 mw but what do we have now? Good job, President Goodluck Jonathan, I am watching cool

Politics › Re: WHY NORTHERN NIGERIA??? by tomakint:
Olastep1: WHAT DOES THE NORTH WANT?

The NORTH should not blame President Jonathan for Whatever they reason.
Even the Sultan of Sokoto said the problems of the North are self inflicted......!

All the important Positions in Nigeria are Occupied by Northerners. Yet they are not happy and millions of its people are suffering.
What Do they Wanthuh

**Vice President - North
**Senate President - North
**Speaker House of Reps - North
**PDP National Chairman - North
**PDP acting BOT chairman -North
**Head of Service - North
**INEC Chairman - North
**Inspector General of Police - North
**CBN Governor - North
**Chief Justice of federation - North
**President Court of Appeal - North
**EFCC Chairman - North
**President Federal high court - North
**National Security Adviser - North
**Chief of Defense Staff - North
**Controller, Customs Service - North
**Controller Prison Services- North
**Richest man in Africa - North.
**85% of Petroleum Marketers in Nigeria - Northerners
**80% of Oil Block Owners inNigeria - Northerners

Yet, the Poorest states in Nigeria and Educationally backward areas in Nigeria are in the North.
Now ask yourself, who is the problem of the North? GEJ or Northerners?

HOW SWEET WILL IT BE IF EVERYONE CAN ACCEPT HIS/HER MISTAKENS!!!

HOW BEAUTIFUL WILL IT BE IF NIGERIANS CAN UPHOLD THE TRUTH RATHER THAN INVOLVING IN BIGOTRY, SCAMS, TERRORISM, CORRUPTION, INTOLERANCE!!!

Let Northern Nigeria wakes up and know that their future belongs to them. Let them hold their elders/leaders accountable instead of being fooled because of the meagre earnings or worthless speeches radiating the whole North!!!

Let them do something about their Educational system instead of being happy over the tag of 'Educational Disadvantage States'.

Let them do something over their major customs and traditions other than useless ranting on who takes the lead in Nigeria!.

Southern Nigeria clamours for intellectual, peaceful, and developmental issues; why Northern Nigeria differshuh

Mind you, i'm not tribalistic. We'r all brothers and sisters in Nigeria. NIGERIA CANNOT BREAK whether you like it or not!.

But let us change our mindsets on the leadership. It wont affect your zone.

What has Buhari done to North-West? What has Obasanjo done to South-West? What has Jonathan done to South-South? What has Major Gen. Babangida done for the North?

All we should be yearning for is an Honest and Truthful Leader in Nigeria!

>>>piece by OLAWUMI Stephen {Olastep}.
@ the bolded gives me a lot to worry about, I don't seem to understand why they (Northerners) always cry foul whenever a political permutation did not go there way cool

The seat of government was in Lagos , Gowon was resident in Lagos, it would be stupid to go fight in the North while you coward were harbouring him in Yoruba land. We were coming to take him from Lagos and Ore was the only route to Lagos. Cowards. I have never seen a weak and craven tribe like Yoruba tribe.
