Christianity EtcRe: Nigerian Pastors Who Predicted 2015 Elections Outcome Woefully by tomzman: 2:17pm On Apr 03, 2015
It is better for a Prophet to shut up than say what the Lord hasn't said. I pity the members of these churches. Idolising men of God is the most foolish thing a Christian can ever do. The Bible has made it clear that the Lord knows those who are his. These 'prophets' should be ashamed of themselves.

RomanceRe: She Bugs Me To Death! How can I handle her? by tomzman: 9:26am On Apr 03, 2015
I advise you block her. Don't even think of dating her out of pity cos you would regret it. I would suggest you take mizmycoli's advice. I do it too. You would have to be very firm but try as much as possible not to be rude. You should also stop accepting food and other stuff from her. I personally have it as a principle never to accept food from a girl I'm not in a serious relationship with. I've been abused because of this in the past but I didn't bulge. As a guy, you have to be able to set certain boundaries with ladies you are not too interested in. That way, they would get the message without you saying it out verbally.

PoliticsRe: Igbo Legible Voters In Lagos, You Must Vote On April 11, 2015 by tomzman: 12:04am On Apr 03, 2015
meforyou1:
Shut the hell up. Who are you hosting? Lagos is a no man's land. With 35% igbo population. My grandfathers built lagos and we will live in it and grow it till eternity. We don't hate Yorubas, we are only paying you back in your own coin.
Let's even assume Lagos is no man's land. What's the sense in abandoning your own land to go and populate and 'develop' a 'no man's land'? Your businesses are also scattered all over the north and other SW states. Are those places 'no man's lands' too?

If everyone decides to pay others back in their own coin, do you think there'll be anyone alive today? You people should know Yorubas are not empty chest beaters, they can finish you without saying a word. Now, everyone is urging the Igbos to embrace peace and let's all join hand to move the country forward but some unwise ones among you don't want to listen. I pray you realise on time that hate leads one nowhere. Peace!

As much as I preach unity and oneness, I think this attitude of Igbos is becoming something else. How ungrateful can you guys be angry Look at the hatred and hostility you are displaying towards your own host, turning against them in their own land. You fools are beginning to irritate me on this Forum. angry You hate your hosts yet you keep trooping into their land. Why not go back to your villages and develop it. You are lucky the Yorubas are very tolerant but I urge you not to push them to the wall or you would end up regretting it.

As Long as Nigeria remains one, it would do us good to unite and move the country forward. IGBOS SHOULD STOP THE HATE! angry
PoliticsRe: Gov. Rochas Okorocha To Nd'igbo Your Greed Denied Us Senate by tomzman: 7:45pm On Apr 02, 2015
I pray Igbos would one day see the wisdom in the decision Rochas made. Igbos should stop this hate, you would end up as losers in the end. Learn from this election!
PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Be Nigeria Worst President by tomzman: 7:11pm On Apr 02, 2015
At least lets give the man a chance to prove himself. I supported GMB/PYO from the outset not because I so much believe in them or the change slogan but because the present government offered no hope. I still maintain that I woud be the first to turn against them if they fail and would also advise others to do same but for now they are the incoming government and we have to support them for the good of us all.

omazus:
Kai, Yoruba man. When did Atiku Abubakar, Ken Nnamani, Ibrahim Babangida, became Yoruba men that stopped Obasanjo's third term. Because he was one of you, my dear, you didi not do anything to stop him. And what did Yoruba do to install Jonathan. Pretty nothing or are you saying Doar Akunyili of the cabal fame is now Yoruba? But I love the way you people rewrite history. Had GEJ had won, you would have presented the figure he got from South West and tell us he won with your votes. Nigeria knows you.
I won't argue with you. I asked a simple question, where were you when we took to the streets to protest that GEJ be made acting president or where were you during the subsidy protests?

I don't want to be dragged any further into tribalism. The election has come and gone and we've all learnt our lessons. It's time to move the country forward and we all must come together to do it.
PoliticsRe: Before A Hate For SW Brews Up by tomzman: 11:59am On Apr 02, 2015
What is all these. Can we just stop this rubbish and concentrate on moving the country forward.

I still maintain that GEJ got booted out because he failed. Even if it was just one of Nigeria's major problems he was able to solve, he would have won this election.

For those of you shouting SW this, SW that, one thing I want you to understand is that we are hungry for performance. That is why we don't mind turning against our own if he fails. Take a cue from Obasanjo's 3rd term agenda, we Yorubas were the first to reject it and we also made sure we frustrated that idea to the last. I'm sure the story would have been different if it was the Igbos. Yorubas have gone past the era of sentiments. We were the very ones that turned against the hausas, protested and made sure GEJ was sworn in as acting president back then. Where were the Igbos and SS during the subsidy protests? You guys preferred to be suffering, buying fuel at #140-#200 per litre just because 'your son' is the one in power. You see, that's what makes the difference between us. Yorubas would always fight to make sure things are done right irrespective of who is involved.

Above all, I maintain that as long as we remain one Nigeria, we would have to put our differences behind us and join hands to move the country forward and the earlier we realise this, the better.
