Politics / Re: Senator Ahmed Yerima Replies His Critics by Tonitelli: 8:57pm On Jul 20, 2013
stillwater: Mr Yerima at 12 I lived in a town where me and my peers were in school creating a future for ourselves. One or two may have fallen off by the way side because of demented men like yourself who do not have the moral calibre and fibre of letting the girl child have peace of mind, but instead you and your ilk pester, harass and finally molest the girl child and steal and kill her childhood. That is not a reason to say the girl child is sexually active in your town.

If young girls populate the streets at night Mr Yerima, marriage is NOT the answer to put an end to this. The ineptitude and inadequacies of you and your peers in government are to blame for the degradation of Nigerian girls over the years. No girl child dreams of being a prostitute. They are relegated to such a trade because of the poverty that you and your ilk have contributed to this demonic entity called Nigeria. Your position as a senator requires you to set up new policies like setting up employment initiatives to help curb the situation. Marriage is not the answer, you Foo!lll.

Mr Yerima shouldn't you be at the forefront of fighting against your peers in government who prey on undergraduates since you are so concerned about their welfare. I can see you can only wield your raving sword when it comes to underage girls. Marriage is not the answer here again, but the domestication of that roving menace and deranged animal called the pe.nis of you, your peers, government officials, the big and 'bigger' boys in Abuja, etc.

We understand molestation is apparently a problem everywhere in Nigeria. Apparently noone has the balls to tackle this ( I really wonder why we have the senate in Nigeria. A very fruitless, unproductive assembly of people who operate at an elaborate and flamboyant state of lunacy). Yerima, That is not a reason to compound our problems by being insistent on feeding your sick leanings. Transfer your pe.nile aggression to something worthwhile and fruitful for the betterment of Nigeria or preferably resign for the threadbare sanity of Nigerians. Dirty man!!!

Travel / Re: Dana Air Responds To Nairalander's Claim by Tonitelli: 10:23am On Jun 13, 2013
obailala:

I'm sorry to burst your bubble about calling people illiterates but please read the story again and u would understand that both stories are not 'perfectly the same' as u claim. The original story from the Nairalander said the plane had taken off (airborne) while the statement by Dana air says at no time was the aircraft airborne. Read again!

I disagree with you bro...Dana said "at no time was a faulty plane airborne..this means that at no time did they allow a faulty plane to their knowledge ,to fly...it doesn't mean that the plane they tot was ok could not have developed a fault after taking off...thus necessitating it's return to its point of origin...
Romance / Re: "I Slept With My Boss To Give My Boyfriend A Job" by Tonitelli: 8:14am On May 20, 2013
Mazi_Omenuko: The deed has been done. Dust yourself up and move on with your life. Honestly, I don't blame the guy, neither will I blame you; but you can't have it all.

DON'T quit your job like some perfectionist are asking you to do here. Of course you saw what your ex went through to secure a new job. If you quit your job, you may end up sleeping around for a new one.

Finally, nairaland is the worst place to ask for advise, that is assuming this story is real.

This, amongst others telling you to move on with ur life, is the best way forward for you..dont quit ur job o!!you can however start looking for another..and try to get something like a recording or something to hold over that idiot boss of urs...
And as painful as it may sound, forget that bf of urs...u ain't married yet, are uu made a mistake..make peace with your God and move on...there's someone else out there for you...and u have a career to build also..
All these ones here saying all sorts about u are hypocrites and have done worse..let he without sin cast the first stone...

Nairaland / General / Re: 90% Of Rape Cases Are Self-inflicted - Katsina Attorney General by Tonitelli: 4:17pm On Nov 26, 2012
Unknown Member:

What percentage of women are r@ped like that?!

- A small girl selling bread is lured into an uncompleted building by a man, r@ped and then we turn and blame the girl?!

- A female student is held at gun point, r@ped by multiple men and we blame the girl?

- Armed robbers break into a mans house and sexually assault his daughters and we blame the girls?!

- H0rny policemen storm a prostitution area, arrest the girls, r@pe and release them and we say its the girls fault?!

- A young innocent naive girl goes to visit an older man whom she considers a friend, he then assaults and r@pes her and its her fault?!

- A mother in the name of worshipping God allows her little daughter around a pervert disguised as a Pastor and in the end she is r@ped and we blame the girl?!

- A girl goes out with guys that she calls 'friends', her drink is spiked and when she gets drowsy, she gets r@ped and its her fault?!

- A prostitute sef that follows a guy to his house and after negotiating the rate, finds it unfavourable and decides to leave, and is inturn forced to have sex against her will, and its her fault?! Really?!

What exactly is your point?! That women ask to be r@ped or what?! Even a man who is married, if he is halfway through forplay and his wife says no, he has no right to force himself on her. A girl that is provocatively dressed isnt asking to be r@ped either..

MEN NEED TO exercise self control..

The Attorney General of Katsina is still a person.

Guy!!!U have spoken well....!!!what nonsense...'self-inflicted'!!!whats that supposed to mean U have absolutely no right to take sexual advantage of someone else when u do not have that person's permission...whether the person is walking around totally naked or not...if she doesn't consent, stick ur weapon of mass destruction in ur bunker!!!
I totally agree..that attorney general is a person..
And I'm sure he's taken advantage of some girl or lady many times...probably has a harem made up of them..

Islam for Muslims / Re: Questions On The “innocence Of Muslims”. by Tonitelli: 5:19pm On Sep 22, 2012
Silkmoth33: what is wrong with you and passion. Is this what they teach you in church on sundays; to condemn other ppl because of religious differences, if this continues to be the case i'll rather resign claiming christianity, cause you're all an awful lot of hypocrites. Whatever happened to being a one nigeria bounded by love as a brother keeper.sad
As much as I would not have wanted to comment on this, I want to ask u based on your question on what they teach Christians on Sunday...what in the name of the almighty do they teach Muslims in the mosques on Friday, that triggers this show of violence we have been seeing in Islamic nations??i would have expected the Imams or teachers to be the ones moderating for maturity and peace in the way Muslim faithfuls handle these 'provocations'...but going by the events of the past two Fridays...one might be inclined to think they do the inciting..why should the whole world be on high alert every time prayers come to an end on Friday??
And with all due respect mr moderator maclatunji...u are not as impartial as u want to make us believe..I do not agree to anyone saying anything derogatory abt anyone's religion,I've seen all sorts said by atheists and Muslims alike on different threads abt Christianity and Jesus, and they've gone undisturbed....this is a forum...like someone rightly said,u bring it to front page, u are inviting the comments of every Tom, dick and Harriet...and u popping up every time someone mentions the name of the Prophet without adding 'pbuh' to show that u are the voltron of Islam is kinda suffocating..u need to show more tolerance..it's the reason u were asked to moderate.

Politics / Re: Subsidy Protest Was Staged - Jonathan by Tonitelli: 12:18am On Sep 20, 2012
Kai! This matter pain mr president o....I imagine when he wanted to increase the price of fuel, someone with some sense would have told him that Nigerians will not take it lying low...and he must have been like.."abeg no mind dem jare..highest dem go halla..but them go keep quiet quick cos hunger go kill them if them continue protest...na noise Nigerians sabi make..remove am!i don't give a damn!!".......just like pharaoh when he decided to pursue the israelites after letting them go, believing there was no way for them to pass the red sea...well..we all know what happened then..lol!
Seriously..should the issue be that someone help prolong the protest, or that there was a protest??and shouldn't he be looking at the gains from these protests??would we have had the small level of transparency in that sector that we have now if Nigerians had just shrugged thier shoulders and gone on with life after the increase??
I just hope he wont come up and say the protests against the introduction of 5k notes were staged now that it's been reversed..
Mr president...u really need to stop attracting flak like this...and stop thinking the people in Lagos are after ur downfall..they are Nigerians too..there were protests in Abuja....in some places in the north..were they sponsored?
We can see what u are doing in the power sector...well done..we hope it will continue this way tru the dry season and beyond...meanwhile pls concentrate on other issues of importance...and while u are at it, sack abati and the people involved in managing the information that emanates from u cos I assure u, they are incompetent...
And expect to be critcised...it's normal..
Politics / Re: Are The Yoruba The Number One In Religious Tolerance? by Tonitelli: 12:57am On Aug 25, 2012
bashr8: this is the second time am reading an article where a poorly brought up igbo child while trying to praise someone else for what ever reason makes a mockery of his own people. anyway this thread is about yoruba people so lets not derail it , am out.
naijababe:

I am curious, if I say the Igbos are the most hardworking set of people in Nigeria and their entrepreneurial can be surpassed by none, does that make a Yoruba that has not been brought up well? Just asking is all.

Abeg help me ask this mr.know-all..how has this guy made a mockery of the igbo people?and how does this article make him poorly brought up?the guy says something he has observed and done some research on,instead of engaging him constructively u talk crap..
