aroyem4u: When I first found out about this thread I was excited. I felt for once that we have a group of youths that really wanna make a difference. But going through the last 5pages leaves bitter taste in my mouth. You know why?
1. Some people want to just apply for masters in Germany because that's all they can lay their hands on. They don't even care if the course is in line with their dreams. From their questions I don't even think they've got dreams. There is no motivation. We just want to travel abroad.
2. People keep forgetting this thread is not a consulting agency.
3. Some never get admission them don dey think about how they will settle down in germany and never come back.

Honestly, I hope someone is listening. Money doesn't fall from d ground in germany oooo. If money is ur motivation and not a quest for knowledge u r making the wrong move.
Please guys let us think about going to school to better the situation of our country. Oyinbos are not lazy. They worked and still work hard, that's why we r itching to go to their country. There is no substitute for hardwork. Please we need to change our orientation. If not there won't be a Nigeria for our own children oooooo!!!
I'm not trying to discourage anyone, I just want u to really be smart and make smart choices. If u really wanna go to sch, trust me no one here will chastise ur questns, because u will never be found asking wrong questions. God help us...

Thanks for that to make money in gerrmany easy before u knw it block acount money don go on top insurance and acomodation plus say u won't buy cloths for winter and again people that think u can jus ger to germany and start making money am. Very sure its nt possible for u to work and earn money once u enter germany cos u must chill for few months before these can be done.. So the best is to focus on dreams and nt let go and for does people who think they can come here and run away be aware that @ the long run u will be send bak home cos u no fit chop aduro again as embassy don they take finger prints so its very easy for them to trace u.. Omojayejaye: It depends on you and your situation..if you intend applying for a course not related to ur bachelor....it might be difficult and if you do not have good grades in your first degree...it might as well be very difficult to gain admission...even in naija..not too good results require a pre masters(pgd) but in the case of germo I have neva heard of something like dat....let's our ogas for germo share their valuable experiences on this sha..finally nothing do naija certs so far you get correct result and confirm modules...if your result dey ok go for masters related to your course

Yes a goOd bsc result and moddle will get admission but not less than 2.2 sha.. Expecially if u applying for msc in management and u have a course with much quantitative appoach na egde for u cos does couse are much limited in germany its nt easy to see bsc in economics, acounting or statistics like we they get am fo our niger schools.. And after dis pls don't forget say motivation letter helps a lot so try sit. Down and compose a very good motivation letter and look at the course outline of the intended programm and ur past trnascipt before u apply tell them how impotant hee course is to u and urr future plan after u get the degree and why u don't wanan do the course in niger... Typing with fone don't mind my mistakes

Please, i would like a firsthand experience student in germany to elucidate on how to start my admission process and the documents required to get admission letter. and when is the best time to start, hope it is not too late now, and if too late, when can i start the process next year? I have personally done a lot of research online, but will need your field experience on the admission and visa processing. thanks. i look forward to hear from you guys ASAP.

emeka55: Nobody is misleading anybody and nobody knows it all. Oga futurewise, go to the embassy and confirm yourself or contact them. Basic german knowledge of at least A1 is required for Bsc whether ur entire course is taught in American or british english! Am sure u applied for Msc and not Bsc. Anybody that is not asked for it is probably lucky! I am not persuading anybody to learn the language after all, I don't have shares in Goethe Institute. Let them keep calling u because of my post. Make dem no call embassy. This is the last I'll talk about this language issue. Peace!

Yah u on th track future wise na bsc student and I sabi many bsc student in germany way no sabi the language @ all self and am very sure of dis ask kelly also.. But wat woked fo A might nt work for B. But if ur languag is fully english taught if its bsc or msc u don't need it if ur school don't ask for it. Do ur reseaerch well dis should nt be a issue here we have talked about dis before..

It might not be for study but what about other daily activities.....Even in Goethe Lagos we were advice to have A2.....so its better you recommend it to someone than sound like they dont need the language at all...for your information it is very easy and cheaper to learn Deutsch in Nigeria than Germany itself........Many people run from the language because of this impression that its hard to learn, some dont have time, some for other reasons....What is what doing is what doing well...dont make it sound like its bad if they make up time to learn it, after all no knowledge is wasted..........cool.

Yah but every one no they stay fo lagos the language is good fo daily life. I had certificate in geothe but I didn't even include it in my student aplication and visa. When the lady ask me if I have any german knowlegde I said nop. Cos I knw. Its nt required so don't make people scare but if ur course is gemany taught u will need it for the application..

Yah u can apply with a student copy just make sure ur school stamp and u certify it .... Na niger we they say student copy diff from school copy cos of the money all uselesss. School in niger won collect.. Best of luck

kelly4top: Actually if you have time to learn the basic part of the language, then is will be added advantage for you. If your program is fully taught in English, then you don't need English proficiency. The truth is that your English ends in the classroom. After classroom things na strictly German every where, in the bus, train, sign post, work place, hostel, neighbors, street, supermarket, application forms etc. Though some Germans speak English and can help you out.

I didn't say you should speak fluently but try to understand and speak basic ones first. Most schools here will take u extra classes on that. Don't let the language issue bother you but take it as a challenge to learn it when you come here cos the language is more important than English here just as English is more important than German language in Nigeria.

As for me the study work load does not give me time to learn the language the way i wanted coupled with the fact that i only speak English in classroom. I'm even learning faster at work place where I hear people speak it everyday.
