His trusted Partner in Crime. Fake Prophet
I can't imagine Jesus running to internet each time with news of his latest acquisitions, like posing with a super bike, supercharged AMGs, Porsche, Gulfstream iv, Bombardier Challenger, Yatch and a tastefully built house. Even if Jesus should have them, will He do these things these gangsters are known for?
#Thorough brainwashing is very real. This is the new age slavery. Slave trade cannot be abolished it can only be transformed and repackaged.
I feel like weeping when I see adults with brain slaving away for a fellow man because he says he is a man of gods. I see people toil from Monday to Friday only to submit the wages to a crook like Shepherd Bushiri.

Uncovered head is a shaved one, to skin most likely, for the woman it signifies humiliation, dishonour and maybe revolt over something. In the Igbo culture, women are subjected to that during mourning for late husbands.
Paul assertion is that the head should be covered and God made provision for that with the hair. Vs 15 of I Corin 11 answers your question. American Pentecostals gave the interpretation to that long time ago, away from the position of Orthodox/ Catholic
hackwi:
when you read in context you will realize that spiritual authority was the discussion... a woman is to cover the authority over her. there is nothing like covering hair, it is covering head(authority)...
That's right
and there shouldn't be debate about that because it is simple and plain.
When you see a woman inside the Church building shaved to skin without a covering or a man with his cap on his head except he has a long hair which is his dishonour, then you can make a simple case out of it. Whatever you chose make out of it, it is not part of the Hell requirements. That's no one goes to Hell because of it because it is just a tradition, among the very few recommended in the new testament.

Can I be honest with you, Sir? Thorough brainwashing is very Real.
Your god got the prediction right. Which is good because other popular mystical men with Church Centers have been failing in correct predictions lately. Don't you think that Olumba will be better accepted by just repackaging his Church, make it more appealing and have prayer lines like T. B. Joshua?
In terms of spiritual powers Olumba should be placed on the same level with T. B. Joshua, the great SBC Oshofa and Moses O. Tonulase. These four are greatest Spiritualists, with deep knowledge of the powers, to come out of Africa. Only that Olumba has refused to make his resemble Christianity with his claim that he is the Almighty.
How can he be Almighty when most of us believe T.B. Joshua may actually have more powers than he, Olumba could muster, yet he doesn't see himself as Almighty?

The true mystery is that a little child in the Kingdom of God, with complete reliance on Lord Jesus is far greater than all of them put together.

Every religion is a creation of the Occult. And the stick, is the nothing more than a talisman, an instrument of magic. But religions preach against magic as if they are not products of metaphysical initiations, aka 'anointing' when magic is the mystical foundation of all religions.
Shamans should call themselves shamans, but in Nigeria, shamans masquerade as Pastors.

I find in you, a man of understanding and wisdom, conscious of his environment. So, I will chip in a thing or two concerning Religion and the Occult.
Every Religion is a creation of the occult
I totally agree. Out of curiosity I have delved many years ago into reading about the principles behind many religions that I could lay my hands on. The control they have over their followers and the inability of members to taste liberty, away from the direct or indirect control of the human overlords (overseers). I saw that in the name of religion wars have been fought, people have been killed and men were ready to decapitate fellow men just to uphold the tenets. Words like he is our member, he is a brother, he worships with us, sons and daughters of Papa are spoken of in different languages of the different Fraternities.
All religions have an arm saddled with operating magics:
The man among them presumed to be most endowed is considered the leader of the sect. He guides his aides into the rules, he may be overtaken in the knowledge by some of the aides, who invariably break away to form a new offspring. Those that remain after gaining the knowledge are usually rapidly promoted to head new branches. In severe forms, occult wars ensues between the Master and the breakaway over control of members and the resources.
Shamans masquerade as Prophets/Pastors.
Very correct. The societal acceptance they sought for can only be obtained by attaching to an organized sect. Moreover, no native doctor operating in the full regalia of a mystic can get as much followers as a shaman dressed like a gentle Pastor or an Imam, the number of followers also translate to opulence and affluence.

On the Contrary, true Christianity that Jesus brought is not a Religion, it is, therefore, not an occult. It emphasized equal rights and liberty, freedom to act as one's conscience dictates, need I add that it is believed that every liberated man has the spirit of God that should fine tune the conscience [the new Covenant]. The concept of overlords most especially among the Pentecostals, dictating how people should live their lives, creating sect wars, indoctrinating people, extorting people and extricating the very soul of human conscience is a misnormer. Unfortunately, many prefer to be held bound by these religions and occult groups. Slaves of man of gods will continue to exist until the slaves realize they are not liberated to follow religion but to be out of it.

I could see to the soul of your post. This post states that no healing or miracles was recorded so far from the display of the short staff. Had there been, you and one other guy will not shout on top of your voices that the man never mentioned...
May I suggest that you wait for the handkerchiefs blessed with the wand to return with testimonies. Some miracles don't happen instantly. I am sure by next Congress, women will come to testify to the authority or abilities of the short wooden staff.
Now whatever miracles we will hear in the nearest future, alluded to this wand will not change the fact that many Christians like myself find it reprehensible and very odd.

Can you go into the body of the report and cancel the parts of it you heard differently at the camp.
Was it flashed over the campers?
Was it used in any of the prayers on handkerchief?
What did you hear him say concerning the wand?

Not that I am interested in the different stories and counter stories but that picture of him holding the wand in the manner Harry Porter will hold his, says a thousand words. Whatever you heard or didn't hear, do me a favour, can you? Just get a passage that portrays Jesus/his Apostles holding a short wooden staff in like manner.

grin I will resign to accepting the short wooden staff as part of Christianity and not leftovers from Moses, that occult vultures are feeding on, if only am led into it by at least a passage that will support this very Christian wand.
With Pastor Adeboye's level of Knowledge I don't expect him to hold on to a wand passed on to him from a man who barely was literate and barely could analyse scriptures at least with materials from scholars, church historians and theologians who ask critical questions with the Bible. And much more a man who had stints with Baba Aladura C & S. We all know in Aladura these things are normal and honestly I don't have anything against them as they, from the word go, have not shyed away in showing the mixed Christianity they practiced. (Materials from Torah and some adaptations from Christianity).
But I am ashamed and shocked that Pastor Adeboye who professes to be a Christian, undiluted in some sense, will have the audacity to flash that wand regardless of what it will subserve.

Don't mind them. They quote the Old testament when it's convenient for them
Earlier, it looked like somebody could bail the cat by calling it a new revelation which Christians are inundated with from time to time, when most of the RCCG people on this thread, failed to show this wooden authority stick in the life of Jesus or his Apostles.
The bottomline is that Christians must be extremely cautious as we shall see a lot, very many manifestations of odd things and influences at this point in time. We were forewarned Angels will come from 'heaven' with odd revelations and 'authenticating' it with some wonders.

On NL, we do more than asking people to patronize our bulk sms services. We sometimes engage in trending discuss to contribute our quota. That's one of my assignment hence that short contribution.

But if you want more contribution on this topic, I would add a little more. God can best be understood through His Spirit and His Word. Understanding God through Logos (Written) of His word is not enough. In fact, His Logos can be easily twisted by anyone. The devil twisted God's Logos while tempting Jesus at a time before Jesus rebuked him to get right behind Him.

What saved Jesus as mighty as He was (and is) is simply because He had more than God's Logos. He had (and still has) God's Rhema (Revelation) as well. The Rhema of God is oO
You are deviating from the topic. If you want us to iron out what people call new revelations today and the dangers of it. Create a new thread and I will be there.

I have replied you because you have brought a new twist to it, your inability to provide the passages I asked for notwithstanding.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the wand is explained away under a new Rhema (Revelation), that Jesus did not care to use and handover to his Apostles so that they should at least dedicate a few lines to in all their new testament writings.
Let me quickly remind you that the new testament revelations are sealed. The opening of the seals are permitted but by special grace, by the opening I mean the explanations of some grey areas in ways we can understand them. Like knots of the book of revelation.
Adding new revelations like the short wooden staffs and others is a very odd thing to say the least.

We can talk more on revelations and logos in a new thread. Highlight the things you have been taught on new revelations and we proceed from there. This thread is on Christian Wand.

Paul was not a Criminal, he was zealous for God using the Torah as his Standard. The stoning of Stephen was borne of out of that zeal to fight for God and within the Torah jurisdiction, blasphemy attracted stoning to death. What he didn't understand was that Jesus brought a new order in the relationship between God and his people.
Paul and Evans have no comparison whatsoever. While we Christians believe that the mercy of God upon a sinner is available till the sinner crosses death gate, I have cause to believe that it is very difficult for hardened criminals to genuinely change. Check the history of Criminals worldwide, place them on parole, the same crime in a more dastardly manner will be repeated.
Most former criminals who opened a Church Center today only made a transition from hard job criminality to 'soft work' robbers using the Bible on one hand and hypnotizing 'jazz' on the other.

Oga, Jesus taught faith, used faith but let us not forget that there were moments he used objects as well. A classic example was when He mixed spit with clay to heal a certain blind man unlike other people he simply spoke words to heal.

This is more like it but it is not an object or does it in anyway mimic the leftovers the occults operate with.
If you had said that mix of clay incidence was symbolic, there won't be need of breaking down that passage for you.

What Jesus did there has no relation to the use of wands at all and I don't expect any Christian who has understanding of that passage to attempt to replicate that on any blind. If any Nigerian prophet, mostly false prophets we got here, does exactly that. I will tell you, Runaway.
There Jesus answered the probing questions of the Jews all those times, on how could he a man make himself equal to God. Remember that all those times, he posed a challenge that he was the son of God possessing all, I mean All the abilities of God. He summarized it by that act, which in their stories of old statement about creation of the human flesh/tissues from clay by God, that He having ALL (complete) the attributes of God, was not only there at the Creation but will at that point replicate that creation story using clay.
Now my friend, how does that resemble short wooden staff (wands) as an object of miracles or authority as some have put it?

Get me a passage where Jesus and his Apostles used wand or passed it down to denote an object or even a symbol of authority, ready to be summoned for miracles. Do that and I will be very happy with you.
I will reply and engage you in further discussions if you will provide one or two such passages that will give credence to Christian wands.

it is to every man according to his faith. Leave God to judge. There are objects that have been used as impartation. The ma ma it was passed to him by the founder and didn't say it should be duplicated. He prayed on their objects with it i.e handkerchief which will be turned to a mantle. Let God be the judge if you believe in him.
What are you doing on this thread if every opinion is met by Leave God to Judge?
Maybe you forgot "touch not my anointed" flashed whenever sheeples are confronted by the deviations of their Leaders. Sheeples swallow every odd thing without asking questions whereas the Berean Christians asked questions.

Very well God is already Judging through matching every action with the Word and the expected Christian conduct. And that is the reason the For s and the Against s are here. I am waiting for you to bring up passages that will give credibility to that short wooden staff among the Christians.
For your leave God to Judge, (although, your definition of judgement is vague if people's opinion is judgment while yours is not) Checks and Balances is as old as the day Christianity was formed. Corrections and reproofs are an important constituent of sound Christianity, and no leader of a sect is exempted not when taken in odd stuffs.

majekdom2:
jesus didnt come to condemn the law, he didnt come to crticise elijah or mosses's time. He came for the salvation of man. There are always objects for impartation and transference of grace. Handkerchiefs and aprons were drawn out of the body the apostles for miracles. The apostles all through their time send out objects for transferrance of grace. The man said he was given the rod by the founder . he never said it should be duplicated
I am not in for back and forth movements. Handkerchiefs appeared once in the new testament, for your information it does not portray the same meaning as a short wooden staff. ( The role of the handky in that isolated incidence was simple enough and we accept/ tolerate handky and olive oil in Christianity,)
Now can you kindly get a passage where Jesus or any of the disciples summoned and used 'wands' as objects of impactation or passed such short wooden staff from generation to generation?

Don't quote me again if you can't get what I asked for, if you do be assured that you won't get a reply.

I was pondering on this issue after i came back from church service this morning and i decided to bring it up here so i can hear your opinions.
Can the church i attend lead me to hell even if my heart is clean and my ways are righteous before the Lord. Because i also know the bible says Salvation is personal but can the church i attend make me miss heaven?
Let me get your opinion....
It depends on how much you allow the Church to influence your thoughts and actions. For instance, some churches compel members to do incantations and prayers that their wicked uncle, wicked everybody should fall suddenly and die. That is sorcery and members become 'witches' without knowing it. False teachers also make adherents think more of money, riches and personal gratifications than they could ever think of the Lord's selflessness, purity of heart and uncontaminated worship. Another group of false teachers built their empires on doctrines that run contrary to the Apostolic sound doctrines, take a look at some of them, you'll know it is more of cult groups and less of Christ.
You can't be sure of a clean heart and a righteous state when gradually you are adopting the ways of such Churches. "Come out from among them and be separate" is still relevant today as it was then.

Sir, I think you should back off and allow more knowledgeable RCCG members to explain away this revelation. Hopefully, they should be here after service.
There could be more sly members who could probably pinpoint a Bible passage where Jesus handed over authority in a stick to Peter or maybe a passage where Paul handed over a short wooden symbol of authority to Timothy.
We may also be led to the passage where such a short stick was used in miraculous prayers among the Apostles. Perhaps, then I will recount the very negative influence Pastor E.A Adeboye has had in the past 10 years simply by associating more closely with Prophets like Papa Ayo Oritsejafor and some occult Bishops of PFN. 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

I still don't get the relevance of these two quotations to the topic.

The "wooden staff'' might look odd but it symbolises a mantle, not the old piece of clothing you might think of. It signifies the passing on of baton to the final racer to finish the course ...Its biblical.

2kings 2: 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

The mantle signifies the possession of authority n power. Not because it possesses power, of course not but it's source is of God, but because it weighs much meaning of post in the realms of the spirit.

After Elisha crossed the Jordan, the sons of the prophet saw him afar with Elijah's mantle and they bowed. They knew he had gotten power.

2kings 2:15 .And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
I assumed that some areas of the conscience will be disturbed.
At this age and time you need mantle to access God, the Father of your Lord Jesus and by extension your Father. After all that faith Jesus taught and demonstrated.
Do you really know what short wooden staffs mean?
Do you know the people that operate with leftovers of Staff and Mantles this day? I will tell you, the Occults and the Mystics.
These rings also read Psalms and some portions of the Bible. They take up some practices from the old testament and cherish the methods of the old. Do they get miracles? Yes.
Is it the Christian way? No.
I thought you could bring up passages of the Bible where Jesus pulled out a mantle or where the Apostles transferred mantles from one person to another.

So we are back to the times of Elijah and Moses. I pray it will not get to the point where we may need to sacrifice bullocks as Elijah did at mount Camel. Afterall, it is Biblical.

The dark art of knocking specimens into trance for some minutes is something I think the talknado prophets/ sorcerers have grade A at. While at trance they lead the specimen to entertain the audience through talking rubbish, acting weird and doing things at the behest of the sorcerer.

Any Christian guided by the practices and conduct of Jesus Christ will not make himself or herself available for ridicule by all these Prophets and false teachers. As a matter of fact, your faith will be that your God can hear you right there in your room.
The new Testament should be our manual as Christians and it is sufficient for that purpose. It is clear that deviants find solace in the sub heathen modes of worship filled with rituals and sacrifices of the old testaments.

This is a textbook, great work! Do not forget to give the credits to the researchers. I have gone about 4 posts down from the beginning, will read further as time permits. Till this moment the promulgators of Christian tithe laws or some will call it revelations have not found a Bible verse that will give it the backing. Like a place where Jesus and his disciples paid or received money tithe on God's behalf.
The things I read so far are the things we already know and many Nigerians are beginning to know that Christ didn't require tithe to bless anybody.
There are no such laws for Christians and no complicated attachments, yoke, coercions, bonds, ritualistic covenants and all such nonsense between a Christian and his God.
The new "covenant" spelt liberty and friendship with God devoid of fears.
Therefore,
anybody tricked into rash commitments/oaths of delivering 10% of his income in the name of tithe is set free by this Knowledge. But that and much more can be given as offering which does not have any lacing of legalism.
The knowledge of the new testament will keep as many that will seek it, free from subtle legalism introduced by wolves. Anything about money or almsgiving is completely freewill and as one proposes in his heart, when given to a Church it is rightly an OFFERING.
Moreover, Christ places a premium on the works of charity, care for the widows, the orphans, helpless and the prisoners more than submitting large sums as Offerings to a man of God or to a temple. The absolute needs of a true place of worship is 100% met by Jesus because He provides for his people and lays it in their hearts to give at every turn. There is no complicated matters of tithe and money seed in the Church of Jesus Christ.

I will prefer to pray without materials of any kind or meaning than to be going back to the times of Moses. And I believe Jesus taught faith that is not embedded in objects and symbols as in the old testaments days.

I know this is not the first time he talked about that stick. I don't know how he was able to do this and have his followers accept that odd thing. We have to brace up as we begin to see RCCG members on the streets with anointed miracle working staffs except they look at it critically and appeal to the G.O to take a second look at it.

For your information most of those Bishops demanding healing seed money from faithless Christians actually sneek out of the country for medical checkups and treatment. They do that on a regular basis in the guise of going to London to visit their children and conduct prosperity seminars for the members who will pay "seed" for every challenge.

Clowns everywhere!
The other clowns like Apostle Joshua Iginla in neater auditorium right there at his backyard couldn't cure him. He didn't kneel to be healed by his VP but will heed a guru herbalist?
Buhari is a soldier, a very disciplined one for that matter who will rather die in his beliefs than allow movie directors, circus organizers, magicians and crooks toil with him. Thankfully, he knew better and is taking the advice of his doctors seriously.
Clowns should look elsewhere for the gullibles to feature in their entertainments, they aren't getting a seed from Muhammed Buhari.
I won't be surprised that that Guru clown secretly goes to hospitals for checkups.

Religion / Re: Abel Damina Warns Against Seed Sowing: God Doesn't Multiply Money, Hardwork Does by Topgainer: 3:36pm On Aug 16, 2017
Ken4Christ:

You are completely ignorant of the teachings of Jesus. Even giving of alms is a seed sown into the lives of people. When Jesus asked the young rich ruler in Mark, Chapter 10 to sell all he had and give to the poor, he was teaching him how to sow seeds.
After the man left in disappointment, Jesus now summed up his message in Mark 10:29-30.
Read it and you will learn.
Nobody is teaching money doubling. I mentioned that men of God has used it to defraud people.
Whatever you choose to give should be based on revelation and it should come from your heart.
The harvest comes in different ways. God can open up opportunities for you. He can cause people to give back to you.
Please read your Bible. It is a doctrine that I can back up with hundreds of Scriptures.
There is no point declaring who is ignorant and who is not. Bring your hundreds of scriptures to back up the express instructions for Christians on seed money by Jesus or his Apostles. I will be happy to see them and see how they relate to the extortions going on with that concept.
Provided you keep insults far, I will respond and engage you on the subject.

The proclamation of Pastor Damina is about money seed sowing in respect of money doubling (favours) which God will do. I stand with him that it is not an instruction anywhere to Christians and that notion must be corrected.
A pastor that lives in Magaddo, he calls himself a prophet of liberation once asked a woman who came for prayers to sow a seed of a parcel of land that was the only thing of her family still in her care. Her troubles were many and she hoped for "bigger money to fall on her. " He took the land from her with the promise that she should hope on gods to lift her up. Few months down the line an enlightened family member passed the land to see multimillionaire edifice under construction and was surprised thinking the land was sold. The family discussed the issue, it dawned on the woman that she has been scammed. The pastor was asked to vacate the Land, he dragged them to court but later opted to pay for the Land to avoid exposing him the more to others he had scammed in like manner

Mark 10: 17-31 again is not about seed money to God that fraudulent Pastors do, it is teaching selflessness and focus. It was an encounter between Jesus and a man whose dedication is more to the riches he has than the Lord's commandments. The summary of which is that You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart. But the young man loved money with all his heart.

You should also know that in that passage Jesus didn't say bring the money realized to God or to Church as the fraudulent seed -money concept. He said give to the poor and you shall have riches in Heaven. The riches in Heaven is figurative (I will not go into what that means for now).
Unlike our Pastorpreneurs who'ld emphasize that the money should be brought to them (gods) as seed money for prayers to be answered, Jesus didn't show any interest to take a dime from the young man in exchange for the eternal life he sought. I ask again, which Father will require a seed money from his teenage child before the child's prayers are answered?
There is nothing like seed money mentioned in that passage and any pastor that uses that passage to extract money from his congregation in exchange for passing prayers to God should reexamine his life seriously. The idea that people should give in or pay in something for prayers requested to be granted in alien to Christianity. Giving in Christianity should not be with the intention of making (recouping) bigger money. In Acts 4: 36, Barnabas sold his field and gave the money 100% to the welfare of the disciples. There is no report that he made a demand on it or nursed expectations of doubling it like the whole concept of seed money peddled by some. Therefore, the offerings/gifts of Barnabas or the rich young man if he had sold his possessions doesn't represent the fraudulent seed money doctrines in circulation.

Don't tryna test God, u dare not question His doings
Be careful man, u may not see His wrath coming

To the dead, I say Rest in Perfect Peace bro
I don't think you own the meter to determine the direction of Wrath. No man determines for God the measure of mercy he can distribute or the time to send Wrath. How sure are you that the wrath is not coming for you instead.
So my friend Keep threats and curses far from your lips. Do not learn that habit when you can correct without issuing them.
