A Good Thread. It is not all the time we should be discussing crimes committed daily by false Prophets and Preachers. Concerning the doctrines and beliefs of the RCCG, I believe the intentions of the religious organization is for the best. Were these set of rules sacrosanct and not amenable, then, it is for RCCG members only because the interpretations to some of the Bible references can't be accepted by all Christian groups as correct. Besides, some of the interpretations are simply good for organizations that divided the humans into kings and lords of empire, body of queens and wives of lords, middle supervisors and the numerous slave workers. This is unlike the unstratified term "Brethren" which describes the equality, common aspirations and shared belongings, including all being children of one and only Daddy, Our Father God. Whereas, the former is permissible in the old testament ways, it is not the method in the New testament Church. As for marriage to more than one wife and divorce, the rule is just RCCG's interpretation to it because some persuading interpretations exist. Some discussion threads on that can be found in nairaland and other forums. Whichever side one takes on it, nobody goes to Hell because he is married to more than a wife. Many will argue that divorce to remarry is permissible if an unrepentant cheating spouse (Adultery) is the case. And this is the words of Jesus on that subject. Others think you shouldn't remarry, in fact, you must pray for the death of one of the divorced for the other to be free to remarry, some credit this to St. Paul. Well, I don't know what St. Paul had in mind but one thing is clear, he didn't exhaust the circumstances for the divorce, he was silent on the Adultery (unrepentant) issue which Jesus highlighted as justifiable for divorce and remarry. Contemporary issues which is also subject of much debate and should be seriously considered is abusive marriages. Let's assume I have a sister aged 21, given in marriage to a brother, James. Brother James is among the mixed multitudes, who is destined to leave our gathering at the manifestation of his true nature. A year into the marriage he started with a wayward life, brings his numerous mistresses into the matrimonial bed, he defies all caution, a year and six months into the marriage one of the other mistresses is pregnant for him. About this time, he batters the wife almost on a regular basis, few months later he marries one of the lovers and sends my sister packing. While on that, his lawyers drop the court notice and seeks for terms of the peaceful dissolution of marriage. Churches like RCCG with the parochial interpretation to St. Paul's remarriage based on death will tell my sister to remain single and wait for the unrepentant brother James who has moved on with his life. Another subset, the prayer warrior group will make long hours of prayer for few weeks that James will repent, another more daring prayer warrior will years down the line wish Bro. James dead so as to satisfy the parochial interpretations before my sister can remarry. This is my stand, at the point of battery, I will separate her from the man, at the point of dissolution of the marriage by the magistrate court, my sister will remarry provided ab initio she was not the cause of the divorce, she will be remarried to a man that loves her, she will have as many kids as she wants in the new marriage. I will not allow any Church Pastor and parochial rules/opinion because that is what those rules are, to keep her in sadness and sorrow for the rest of her life while waiting for the Bro James who may live up to 90 years to die before she can be freed. God, the best Father, desires the happiness of his Children more than anything else. One becoming a prisoner of his/her mistake and wrong decision is not a part of that happiness. If at all St. Paul after exhausting all the circumstances of divorce meant that in all circumstances one has to wait for the abusive gangster to die before one can remarry, then I may say it is his personal opinion, which are many in his letters. I will rather go with the permissions of Christ which for instance considered Divorce and Remarriage in Adultery (unrepentant philanderer) situations. The qualifications of a Bishop is apt and for the good of the Church it should be adhered to, although, we found in some other letters of Paul that some could choose to remain single,Celibate. |

Those are petty theives, dare devil robbers can break any vault if there is attraction like a box of $10 million in the Pastor's office. They come fully prepared and may kill anybody standing on their way. That is when the promoters of this advert will know how much the yellow apron and the 'I am a chosen' protect. It is good to have faith, it does wonders but I have heard too many stories told by promoters of one Church or another that are often laced with lies. Questions. What arms and ammunition were used by the dazed armed robbers? Who saw the arms and stood where he/she was? I don't believe that an armless chosen follower will stay and overpower a robber armed with submachine gun. Wisdom dictates he/she takes cover and pray for protection from the position in the face of robbery attack or better still hire armed security for the state offices as it is at the HQ. |

Ken4Christ:Sonoflucifer is a philosopher, I guess he understands the meaning of Lucifer more than some of us. Satan and Lucifer mean two different things. The description of Lucifer in Isaiah 14: 13-14, 16-19 is timeless and could be used to describe any man in privileged position who does those things. The privileged position might be a Bishop, a head of state, a family head, a cell leader and in fact, any proud man. In that passage, the preamble was on a man, the King of Babylon. Anybody can die a miserable death depending on what you mean by that. Prophet Myles Munroe was burnt to death in one of his private jets. How many of you followers of such men knew that that could be possible? How many of man of gods followers will believe that some of their dead overlords had a crossover to Hell. You are not in position to determine the death pattern of any soul. Those prophets who claim exclusive right to defend Jesus by dishing out statements like this are ignorant and hypocrites. e.g. Prophets Chris Okafor and Joshua Iginla released a proclamation like this one, on Mallam El Rufia because he planned a law prohibiting public nuisance constituted by some crusaders. Was there ulterior motives in the law? most likely. The law has been passed, the empty death proclamations by the sorcerers masquerading as Christians failed woefully. People talk and act according to their understanding, it is the duty of Jesus who measures the intent and purposes of any such action, to either mercifully put the person alright or bring about convictions where necessarily. When I hear a supposed Pastor or Christian raising his hand in his over bloated ego and making demands for anothers DEATH, it is clear to me that pastor is practicing something different from Christianity or such a Christian has been with some false prophets or teachers. Ken, You shouldn't be seen fighting for Jesus with statements like that, if you think you are capable of doing that, spice it by telling the SonofLucifer the date and time he will meet the miserable death and watch your proclamations fail. Sound Christian 'militias' don't fight for Jesus no matter the provocations. They preach love (not threats) and the intention of every corrective measure used should be guided by love. |

Sarcasm It is a typographical error, Pastor Ibiyeomie shouldn't waste his money on re-arresting the woman. The arrest team will charge him much more to return the woman to Rivers Courts or may be he should just permanently silence the woman for not minding her business, very easy job for the militants. |

Now, what is difficult in educating me with the lists of "the impacts the congregation makes after Church gathering" you mentioned. If you can't list them, simply say, 'I can't' and move on. When you do provide the lists I will look at them one by one to see the verifiable truths in them, perhaps, you can convince me not to see Pastor David Ibiyeomie as one of the motivational lecturers and operators of Church Commerce in Nigeria. However, that breath of life demonstration episode has left a not good impression of his stunts on me. I don't know of other demonstrations he does with his workers. I am not sure I will like them if they are organized like the breath of life practicals. |

No enlightened person honestly desires that even to be a pastor is not an easy work. It is a call to duty worse than being a man of the Force. You virtually live your life for others. In fact, this service is not only required of Pastors but for all Christians. All the things you listed in your blog are still within the purview of a true Christian without the appendage, Pastor. In the case of a Pastor it is a bit more. Most ladies are happy to be attached to a yahoo pastor and become the principal partner of a successful Church Business Center, the little headache is nothing compared to the enjoyment. The pastor is running choir girls and the Mama is running band boys, Mama extorts the women group, Papa does the rest including destroying homes. The revenue and investments are shared, as for domestic works both at home and at the Business complex, thoroughly brainwashed slaves are always at the beck and call of the Master. If you as a Pastor do not want to be called out, then take extra care to pattern your life to that of Jesus Christ. Humbly, take corrections when the disapproval is expressed and not looking for Moses stories as a shield. I have listened to his lectures previously, I stopped when I saw an episode where he tried to demonstrate breath of life on one of his workers. In the said episode, the volunteer was slain (supposedly died) through the 'anointing' in the Bishops contact and later was resurrected by the puff of air from the Bishop. People inside the complex were in ecstatic mood while those of us who watched by television saw through the charade. So, tell me the impacts that I didn't see or know about all the while I followed his programs. I will be glad to know of those impacts. I don't see any argument anywhere, I only quoted you once and made a simple request. |

And it is uncertain how long these new occupants will stay. Good work defence team but know that he will say more because that is his habit, most times, his ego tells him that he is speaking wisdom. And his weekly lectures are centered on nuggets that excite his followers rarely he performs some 'miracles and stunts'. Apostle Dr Chibuzor is not as educated and charismatic as he, but has some conscience and possesses more knowledge of the deep. Head to Head the Apostle performs more miraculous stunts and talks less. The charity works of the Apostle are more meaningful e.g. completely free schools, prostitute rehabilitation, free estates for the poorest of the poor e.t.c compare that with the Bishop who pays back mainly those who have served him and are committed to serving him with rented flats, allowances and brandnew vehicles. Sometimes, he gives to the widows, very little ofcourse, compared with the money he rakes in every week. |

One is appealing to educated folks the other is appealing to semiliterate men who are into trade. Both have a sizeable proportion of Portharcourt church market population. They serve different lords and acquired different powers. One is an inspirational talker and a smooth talker, the other gives assignment, anointed liquid and coconut to the miracle hunters. Both make huge money from their followers and live large. They have refused to share the population in peace. Each wants it all to himself. I want to see them embrace each other and do their hustle devoid of rancor. I don't believe in the duo but if I am to chose, I will take Apostle Prophet Dr Chibuzor ahead of Bishop David Ibiyeomie. When I look at the Bishop all I see is a smooth talking deceiver and when I look at Apostle all I see is a mystic with conscience. I will never worship in either of the two Church Centers or bow to the variant of Jesus they serve. |

A man of god (Pastor, Bishop) releases a prophecy that thus says the Lord, "before the end of 2011 Bokoharam will be defeated and people shall go to Churches in peace" It didn't come to pass, he devices a face saving phrase that the people didn't pray to facilitate the "thus says the Lord" or that people effectively cancelled the prophecy by prayers. This is the situation of False Pastors and Bishops. They speak what their minds tell them, if by chance it happens, good! If it doesn't he says to anybody who cares to listen that the prophecy of Jonah failed, therefore, God can change his mind flimsily. Common sense dictates that nobody will wish that the prophecy on Bokoharam miscarried let alone praying to render it null (to cancel it). Now compare that with thus says the Lord "the soul that sinneth shall die, but if the sinner repents and forsakes his evil ways, he shall live". This is a prophecy that is conditional and most prophecies like this can be altered if some terms are met. This was the Jonah experience and most other prophets of God had similar experiences with conditional "thus says the Lord". A prayer of penitence can suspend or completely cancel the punitive prophecies for a sinning soul or Land. This is very dissimilar to a prophecy failure. So, dear, don't try to defend any of the Pastor we have out there with logics and misappropriation of Bible passages. Forget miracles and other factors you may like about the Pastor. If he is in the habit of making false declarations and prophecies, he is a false prophet. Depending on how much you love the Pastor, you can, in euphemism, say he was momentarily under the influence of a lying spirit when he made such ill-fated prophecies. |

Was it only T.B Joshua that gave some false Prophecy last year? Far majority of Nigerians in Church today are sitting under one miracle warrior or magician. The false prophets in the Pentecostal Church Centers are so many and they have continued to breed their kinds in their numerous branches. The simplest way to know is to look out for those prophet/bishops/pastors whose lifestyle is not modeled after Jesus Christ, and the good thing is that pretence can't go on for so long. Today, many men of gods with thorough brainwashing skills will stand before their sheeples to say things like yesterday I was broke but when I met 'Jesus' I became richer than Nigeria, I have homes in all the important cities of the world, I jet out to see world leaders and pray for them, I am just coming back from a 'crusade' in Paris if you want Jesus to make you, as he did with me, "sow seed in hard currency". 5 Likes |

He should build a University, it is a humane investment and with the way he demands for seed, tithes and partnership charges from his followers, it will not be difficult to task the sheeples for the project, assuming he doesn't want to touch the money tied to other investments.
