Breaking: Nigerian Youths for Credible Alternative petitions INEC Chairman, Inspector General of Police, Director, Department of State Services and Commandant General, NSCDC on Free, Fair, Credible and Violence free poll in Ekiti State come Saturday, 18th June, 2022

The Executive Committee of Nigerian Youths for Credible Alternative (NYCA) have appealed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that a free, fair, credible and violence free election in Ekiti State.

In a letter submitted to the INEC Chairman through the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ekiti State was copied to the Inspector General of Police, the Commandant General of NSCDC and the Director of SSS.

The decision was reached by the Executive Committee of Nigerian Youths for Credible Alternative at a meeting held in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday 15th June, 2022.

The letter reads in part: ' We implore you to please employ all strategic instruments to prevent vote buying in all the polling units in Ekiti State and also prevent any form of bloodshed as voters, INEC Staff, Security Agents and other Electoral participants are humans. No personal ambition of any of the politicians or anyone at that is worth the blood of anyone in Ekiti State'


The Nigerian Youths for Credible Alternative (NYCA) also passed a vote of confidence on the quality leadership of the INEC Chairman, Prof Mammud Yakub.

It is either u are not in Ekiti, or u don't know the current realities in the state.

I am in Ekiti and I can tell u that the only thing APC depends on in Ekiti is vote buying 'See and buy'. If other parties can match them in the see and buy game them APC is a goner

Oni Congratulates Tinubu as APC Flagbearer

The standard flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ekiti state, Chief Segun Oni has sent a hearty congratulatory message to the newly elected Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement by the Chairman, Media Advisory Council, Segun Oni Campaign Organisation (SOCO), Moses Jolayemi, Oni described Tinubu as " a detribalised leader and an astute politician of a formidable political trajectory.
Oni further stated that Tinubu truly deserves his party's confidence as demonstrated with a convincing win of 1, 271 over the 316 votes of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who came second in the APC presidential primary.
The Vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo came third with 235 votes.
While wishing Tinubu success in the task ahead, Oni said the myriad of problems confronting the nation at this time needs attention from leaders who are not only experienced but possess the necessary political will and vision to unite the nation across all ethnic and religious lines in order to restore the fast dwindling fortunes of our great country.

Kwankwaso shd go and learn how to play politics from Tinubu, in most cases politics is usually about sacrifice. I see no reason why Kwankwaso can't give Peter Obi the Presidential ticket and settle for Vice president. With that, his NNPP will move from a Kano/Northern political party to the South. The combination will ensure that the party win some houses of Assembly, house of rep, Senate and Gov seat in the SE and NW zones and it will also place them in a better position to win the presidency.

Kwankwaso shd normally know that Buhari from Kastina NW can't finish tenure in 2023 while he from Kano NW will also take over. It is impossicant.

If any one is close to Kwankwaso, they can still advise him, there is still room for substitution of candidate.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Dr John Kayode Fayemi has taken fresh move to edge out Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is one of the frontrunners for the APC presidential ticket.
The Ekiti State Governor who is one of the aspirants for the presidential ticket of the ruling party is capitalizing on the fact that the Northern Governors have agreed to zone the presidential ticket to the southern part of Nigeria. Gov. Fayemi said the Governors had earlier agreed that it is one of them who must succeed president Buhari in 2023.

In a last minute move, Gov Fayemi is set to meet with the APC Governors to remind them of the need to support him to get the APC presidential ticket.

Recall that earlier today, the APC Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu had announced the choice of Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the consensus candidate of the APC, a move which has been rejected by the Northern Governors under the platform of APC.
