I absolutely love the write up.

Its so true of what has become of Nigeria. Some years ago, I was in Nigeria and I went in search of a good tailor to make me a few suits because the suits I had in Nigeria were much better compared to the stuff I buy now (just name brands with no real fitting). However, some people showed suprise that I could come from abroad to come and buy materials and get tailors to sew suits for me.

They had the attitude which says that everything abroad has to be better than anything Nigerian. . . how wrong they are! But they dont realise what they have.

Its also very easy to blame 'leaders'. However, the leaders are not the ones who do everything wrong in Nigeria: the ordinary Nigerian has his/her own faults and until we start realising that we are ALL responsible for the way things are, we are unlikely to make any progress.

Constantly blaming the leaders means that we dont need to change anything about the way we do things and the things we do! We have to change ourselves and this will prompt us to change the kind of leadership we get.
Exactly my thought!!!

Honestly speaking I would be quite concerned if my brothers girlfriend "casually" exchanged numbers with a stranger she met on a bus in my presence.

It could have been an innocent encounter with this guy but in future please do not exhibit this kind of behaviour in front of your in-laws.

There are ways of politely but firmly telling a man not to get too close.

By the way why were you gisting with this man and not your sister-in-law? For the sake of friendship with a stranger you have put a blot on the relationship with your boyfriend and in-lwas to be. It certainly wasnt worth it.
Gbam!!!

FamilyRe: Why Do You Have To Stop Your Spouse From Touching Your Phone? by topsy25(m): 1:30pm On Apr 22, 2009
Between my wife and I, there is no secrets. She has the right to pick my phones and I have equal right. I believe both of us are one and we do things together.

Basically, I believe if u dont have skeleton in ur cupboad, u wont prevent ur spouse from touching or using ur phones.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Television Evangelism By Force? by topsy25(m): 4:27pm On Apr 20, 2009
Kunle, you or anybody else do not need to judge or critisize any pastor (real or so-called), what we need is real prayer for the country and christiandom.

we really need God to deliver us from these angels of doom.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Television Evangelism By Force? by topsy25(m): 1:33pm On Apr 20, 2009
~Lady~:
Nope it is not by force. You don't want to watch, turn the station. You have that option, I believe.
hello there!!!

it seems u're not getting the poster's point here. The guy is not saying preaching the gospel on air is wrong or bad; but that it is unchristlike to beg for money via the preaching of the gospel.

if you're truly sure that God sent you to preach the gospel via the TV, then you don't have to beg cos the God that sent you will surely provide the money u need to do His work in such a way that'll u'll know its the hand of God. Was He not the one that commanded raven to feed His prophet?

x-tians have been charged to preach the gospel; but I never saw where begging for money was included in the instruction our Lord gave us. Freely have I given you, freely give.

Jesus once asked: "if I come back to the earth, will I meet faith , "? And I wonder undecided
FoodRe: The Growing Popularity Of Dog Meat by topsy25(m): 1:33pm On Apr 20, 2009
there is one adage in Yoruba which says: ayangbe aja ma ndun, " meaning well-roasted dog meat can be very delicious!!! (didn't finish the adage)

If I should give every one of you trying to crucify those of us who eat dog meat a well-roasted one, I bet u'll beg me for more. Nonsense angry
