gentlegenius: What is seun doing in your list? The fact that he owns Nairaland doesn't mean he is popular in Nairaland sections. I can't remember the last time I saw him create a thread or comment on any thread. I guess he is too busy making his money and has little or no time to be seen viewing or commenting on Nairaland threads. BTW, do you really think you should be at #3? Anyway, thanks for including an important moniker that the Op forgot to add to his list- TonyeBarcanista. How much do you think you know about Nairaland? How observant are you? How many Nairalanders have you even met in person asking them the Nairalanders they are very familiar with?
I challenge you to make your research and you will know that my ranking is near perfect
To think that Seu'n is not very popular shows you don't even know anything. |

BBLOOD: Being broke is relative. You could be able to meet your needs and still be broke to certain people who only deal in Luxury. For instance those who fly economy are certainly broke to those who fly first class or private jets.
While those who can't even afford a plane ticket would be termed broke to those who fly economy. While those who trek are broke to those who ride okada and the cycle goes on in the same fashion That's exactly how life is jawe my brother |

realoscar84: So heartbroken the day a friend of mine selected some games for me which should've got me 55k. When I went to print the ticket, I decided to check the fixtures pasted on the board n I saw Burnley VS man city. So, I decided to add the game to boost the money. After all the games has played, man city was the last game. I even use my last money to go an watch the game at a soccer viewing centre. I can't forget how heart broken I was seeing David silva wasting all the chances in the first half which ended 0-0. Then in the second half, man city continued the rubbish n all of a sudden, I saw a rebound low shot from a Burnley player call Boyd, it went straight into the net. The goal felt like a stab to my heart. The dude sitting close by was jubilating. I felt like strangling him. The most annoying part was when zabaleta was simulating to get a penalty to salvage a point for man city deep in the injury time. That was when I couldn't take it anymore. Insulting all man city players n the useless coach pellegrini. Sorry folks, I know this narration is somehow unrelated to this thread. But I was so dejected when I left that soccer house with empty pocket that day. I have been in your shoes too and I can relate well
I remember when I used to be a bet addict, I went to a betshop with my booking number as usual and on getting there, I noticed one of the odds had dropped, hence, a reduction in my winning. Then I told him to give me a moment and I quickly ran to the board, picked a random match at a glance and told him to add it to it (double chance 12) just to sky-rock my winning.
My brother, all my matches clicked with ease and it was only remaining the random matched I placed on "anybody can win". That was how they messed me up with a goaless draw oooo.. Na so ojukokoro take kill me ooo
I nearly committed suicide that day because that money was my Saviour as at that time |

Mine was when I was traveling from Ibadan to Ekiti when the brake failed and the car lost control. The driver bumped into an oncoming vehicle on head to head collision. I felt my heart jumping out of my mouth that day as I could have passed out due to the shock. Series of injuries were sustained but no one died.
The second one was when I recently traveled to Adamawa. The moment I saw an inscription of "welcome to Adamawa" on a sign board, I began to tense up knowing fully well that the state is one of the Boko boys headquarters
There was a time a suspicious vehicle was trying to overtake us, I actually thought it was Boko boys on their parade mission and I was overwhelmed with fright. It was still the scariest moment of my life because I thought it was the end of life journey for all of us. The funniest thing be say, the car dey go on his own oooo
The last one I witnessed was an accident scene I rushed to. On getting there, I saw a car crushed a bike man and two passengers to death. People had to start gathering their body parts from different angles |

hopefulLandlord: I'll give my own answer which may differ from our honourable Carpenter's
Yes! so long there are things we are yet to know, the possibility of something superior "drawing the map" makes sense BUT that's where it all ends and I'm pretty sure whoever this "something superior" is it has to also be drawn by "something more superior than Superior"
now while it makes sense to actually think that something did, one should take care not to go further than that, "Something could've done it" is totally different from "This is exactly what the entity that did it wants from us"
I would actually be happy not to argue with theists and even admit they could be right if they just stopped at clamining: There is a god. I could respond: you might be right. So what? End of discussion. But then they don't stop at that. They automatically assume that admitting that possibility makes a specific god a realty and a whole ideology (however vile and ridiculous) the only true one. In other words after "proving" there is a god they immediately know what he (yes, it's a male god, obviously) thinks, wants, in every single detail. Compare this to someone "proving" to you that aliens exist. Since it's a sensible assumption, you might admit that OK, it's likely. Do you then automatically agree that they are little green men with a single eye in the middle who want to rape human females (plus a gazillion other ridiculous assumptions)?
I'm still of the opinion that "creator" is a possibility but this creator is definitely NOT the abrahamic god, there's no reason to be an adherent of the Abrahamic religion IMO.
An unsubstantiated, invisible, all knowing, all powerful, supernatural creator judge, that refuses to reveal itself, leaves no evidence, and is petty enough to eternally punish those that were unconvinced ... is a pretty outrageous claim.
I'm going to need more than some old books that can best summed as "trust me" to buy into that claim. Why would you believe such a thing is a better question than why wouldn't you. Especially considering there's no shortage of old books, all with different stories, that all rely on "trust me" as their basis.
But whatever, each to their own I suppose. So, to sum it up, you're of the opinion that everything codified in the Bible is nothing but fictions? |

TheCarpenter: I believe you're talking based on assumptions. Anyways, but at least, some religious and superstitious bullsh!ts have been overflogged by science LoL
This is funny you know. The problem with this part of your statement is disturbing. If you say the existence of God is "unexplainable" (mark this word), how then do you know you a God Exist? I guess because the Bible says so. And if the Bible says so, on what scale can we conclude the Bible is correct since God is "UNEXPLAINABLE".
Hope you dig? Because one can't claim the nature of something/someone is unexplainable, yet that same person is trying is trying to explain the unexplainable. That's ridiculous and it's purely absurd.
Bro, there is no logic here. In as much as I will agree with you that we are not 100% sure whether God exists or not, we all have the choice to decide whether to believe or not. But if we are to use logic, will you doubt the fact that something superior must have drawn the map and arrangements of this worlds? |
