OP, you're right about the forgiveness thing...but there is a limit to what people can forgive, or how long they can keep forgiving. Liken a marriage to an 80leaves exercise book, every time you keep hurting your partner...one leave goes off. At a point, the book becomes weak, you really don't like the book anymore, but you have written so much in it, you can't throw it away. It's bad to keep doing same offence over and over, you weaken the very essence of a marriage.
