dangotesmummy: church has becoming a routine and ritual that Nigerians now attend.you hardly seeing people going to church for genuine reasons these days.it's usually because 1.they need a job or sell stuffs 2.there's one girl or guy they're eyeing 3.parents forcing their wards to go to church 4.their boss attends that church so they go there to impress their bosses or get favours 5.healing, miracles, money, husband, wife, children, promotion, house, car.every other reason except to truly worship This reminds how one of my course mates started attending her project Supervisor's fellowship just because she wanted to an "A" to boost up her GP... What is bad is bad, and we should not try to embellish it.. If condemning what isn't proper will make people tag you an hypocrite then let them do that.
Though, I like Korede Bello but I don't think this should be a welcoming idea.. The church of God should not discriminate against any one, but embracing hip hop musicians to perform songs in church doesn't just seem right. The same way a church invited Pasuma for song ministration about two years ago, and daddy Adeboye had to withdraw the workership/pastorship of the planners
So, are they trying to say that cats and dogs can mount the pulpit to perform song ministration just because the artist released an album and one of which has just one gospel related track out of other wordly tracks that make up the album ?
So, because Korede Bello sang "Godwin" automatically renders him worthy of performing song ministration in church?
Christianity has lost it these days |

Juliearth: I think people rush into marriage with the wrong perspective. Ladies always have that fantasy of a happy-ever-after marriage (too much of hollywood I pressume). Another factor is that people rush into marriage for the wrong reasons and when these reasons do not suffice, things may take an ugly turn. Above all,I would say that when a couple waste the entire period of their dating and courtship on copulation, pizza and shawarma, that marriage may likely develope some faults. My admonition is this: Marry your best friend cos at some point in a marriage, love might be lost, but friendship will get things going. Do not expect too much of your spouse. I am not saying you should downgrade him or think less of him,but appreciate his efforts though little...Appreciate his/her flaws cos there is no such thing as a perfect man/woman... Lastly,no third parties. Oooooh this is brilliant |

ReneeNuttall: A lot of things contributes to the reasons why people have disputes during early stage of marriage, and if not properly handled can lead to divorce This is due to d fact that, during courtship, they thought they understood themselves, which they never did,now she has found out that her hubby smokes, likes hanging out with single guys,a die hard football freak, always stuck to his phone and womanizes according to her.Meanwhile the guy says she's too Nagy and loud, she can't cook, she's lazy, always policing him etc,These are stuffs they never divulged, during courtship. May God bless you my sister.. Marriage opens people's eyes to reality while courtship may not |

Though, I'm not married neither am I a relationship expert but I think I can answer this question... As per say me sef no be small pikin again nah
Well, I think people go into marriage for ridiculous reasons (boobs, size of joystick, curves, 6packs, bedmatic skills, financial security, money, tendency to travel abroad, respect they will earn from their family/friends for marrying a particular person, etc), and also with high hopes and expectations of how they've always pictured the flawlessness of marriage in Nollywood and Phillipines movies; how people describe the beauty of marriage, and how they've been fantasizing the marriage of other people and thus, short of expections aftermath of their own wedding trigger disappointment, irritation, enmity and disinterest among couples.
Most people tend to overlook the flaws (ojukokoro, unforgiveness, stinginess, nagging, adamant to correction, lack of understanding, inability to manage, laziness, self centeredness, promiscuity, gold digging, tendency to become slay queens, lack of dress sense, lack of respect for your friends and family members, anger problem) of their partners during courtship and will take a bumpy ride into marriage with the ideology that marriage is a "magician" that completely changes or transforms people, without knowing that things sometimes do not happen that way... What you can't change at puberty, a mere RING cannot/may not change it.
Thats why it's said that LOVE is not enough to make someone your life partner, because there are other basic things that should be taken into considerations, and failure to do so makes your marriage vulnerable to chaos and perhaps, divorce.
When people get married, their eyes begin to open to reality after which they will get to realize that they ought to have married someone better, someone that will not hide her character at the expense of getting a RING, someone that will not become a nagger when income salary diminishes .. They begin to see some flaws in their partner which LOVE/INFATUATION blindfolded them from seeing during courtship
In a nutshell, marriage is an eye opener that opens your eyes from fairytales to reality.
This is not the matter of the witches and wizards in your village firing bow and arrow at you
I don't know if my comment makes any sense |
