RTSC: I have ignored one in canada. Blocked him completly.
This guy went to canada and stopped picking calls.
He was sending money home to build a house without realising that the brother was lavishing half and then using half for the building.
When he found out, he started trying to reach me through someone else so that I can help him oversee the project.
I told him to go to hell and don't call me again. Those are people they call classic users, they only get in touch when they need something. |

Gerrard59: From what I've read, it's based on the value of the person involved. If a friend based in Nigeria is financially comfortable, the level of respect accorded by the other friend based abroad will be different if the Nigerian based friend is not financially comfortable. On two occasions I contacted folks abroad, one for clarifications regarding a process and the other (maternal uncle) to assist me pay for course using his credit card while I transfer the equivalent to his Nigerian account. The uncle was even worried that I don't call to know about his wellbeing but that's because I'm extremely busy. Sometimes, I don't want to be seen as someone who disturbs a family man.
The solution to be being disrespected or snubbed by those abroad is is by adding value to yourself. There's no friend abroad who will avoid you if you work in say Seplat or operate a business or chain or businesses generating 5M naira monthly. Everything boils down to value. It's why Japan respects China because of the value the Chinese offer not because she likes China. Then that's not a true friend.... if respect is based on how big your pocket is. I agree with the respect point though, there are ways a person can conduct themself and be respected, not necessarily only on the basis of what they have. |

Okoroawusa: I love Buhari with all my heart.
Towards a better Nigeria.
Robust Infrastructure
Good roads( if your state governor like let him not do your state roads)
Availability of electricity (even if it's expensive)
Availability of fuel( small kids here won't understand our years of queuing for fuel for weeks)
It's currently painful but I fully support him. I grew up seeing these things as luxuries. It will never be the case for my grandchildren n great grandchildren. Reality slowly setting in, lmao. This is just part 1 don't worry. |

lafuria1: What happened yesterday and today might be a first time experience for some of you guys. Days like this happens. I remember how I had fever back in march, I provoke sell all my stocks. For three weeks I didn't want to hear anything like stock market, lol.
I came back, got better, found this thread, learnt new things. Always remember that stocks that have over 500% or 2000% return from their initial price offer didn't have it all smooth over the years.
Like we advice, do what you are comfortable it Well said. Exactly my point a few weeks ago. Also to add, anyone actively trading short-term should know their risk profile and set up money management rules accordingly. You can't afford to assume the only way is up ---> expect the best BUT prepare for the worst. |

Politics › Re: Gani Adams Urges FG, NASS To Reverse Fuel Price, Electricity Tariff by tot(f): 7:50am On Sep 04, 2020 |
ThatFairGuy1: This is very welcome. FG should regulate the price especially in this pandemic.
However, behold yam eaters! Do not demonize and let us feel bad for voting PMB. I, in person haven't regretted and will never regret voting PMB twice AGAINST GEJ and Atiku.
GEJ was fortunate to govern when oil prices was at its peak in the history of Nigeria (over a hundred dollar per barrel) with nothing to show for it aside looting and borrowing TO PAY WORKERS'SALARIES.
PMB is unfortunate to be governing when oil prices (was once sold) for $11 a barrel and less than $45 as of now with reduction of our oil demands in World market. This doesn't stop the gigantic ongoing projects IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA.
PMB is not the best but 100% better than Atiku and GEJ together. If you like quote me and be cursing yourselves, I don't care.
VOTING PMB AGAINST ATIKU AND GEJ is the best thing a patriot has done. Don't face the issue at hand, be calling GEJ and Atiku up and down. Face the govt that has failed to fulfil a single promise successfully. Self consolation and self denial. The good thing is all the negative consequences and actions of Buhari will hit you as well. Next will be data, by then all these epistles will be reduced. Carry on Change is here, REAL CHANGE! |

MemoriesAndMe: The hike may actually be intended for the good of the people, but the timing is terribly bad. Why hike two important areas of human lives in the midst of a pandemic while sane nations are doing many things to ease the lives of their populace? Exactly Plus, people simply do not trust this govt, they have not proven themselves to be trustworthy. |

obailala: You must be describing your family members there... The statement I made is not for dumb people to understand; with this your response, you seem to have appropriately classed yourself.
Subsidy payments has stopped, and pump prices deregulated. Pump prices would increase in line with increase in global crude prices; except the FG decides to resume the subsidy regime again (of which if they do, you will still wail about it). Yada yada yada. Utter rubbish. Mr Zombie! |
Politics › Re: Confusion As Petrol Marketers Fix Price At N162 A Litre by tot(f): 11:28am On Sep 03, 2020 |
obailala: What does the current increase in pump prices have to do with Buhari or FG? Subsidy has been removed, so what did anyone expect? That fuel prices would stay the same when global crude price rises? Or should the FG be reintroducing full payment of petrol subsidies?
It's really difficult these days meeting any meaningful debates in this forum. This one is in denial, utterly lost. Zombiesm is becoming harder by the day. |
