Pension fund was looted before Ajimobi came in and he pledged paying monthly pension which he did and even increased it, and paid gratituty from time to time

So because you worked for Shell or whatever oil company for 26 years, you should be a multi-millionaire in dollars and a billionaire in naira? Were you a mere emploee or a part-owner/entrepreneur? How much were his salaries and benefits all through his 26 years as an EMPLOYEE? How much did he spend campaigning for the senate, the previous failed attempts to be governor, and the eventually successful campaign? If he is still a billionaire after all these money gulping campaigns, that means he must have been worth tens of billionns before entering politics? All earned through 'dint of hardwork'. . .as an employee?
A lot doesn't add up here. I always marvel at how Nigerians (especially ignorant females) tend to justify questionable wealth with silly rationalizations: 'oh he is a top bank manager' (does that explain how come he owns a N300m house in VGC?); 'oh he works in NNPC' (is that enough for him to have 4 kids in foreign universities, and a house in Maitama?). It is only in Nigeria that someone retires as an employee with whatever company or government agency and is suddenly worth billions. How? Did the company allocate substantial shares to him (like is the case with CEOs of Fortune 500 corporations)? This country is just a huge joke. . .corruption is the very life blood of the nation, and almost everybody is involved - directly or indirectly. To correct some misconception here, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company (NOLCHEM) was NOT a subsidiary of Shell. It was a government owned company that was privatized in 2001 to Conpetro (owned by Mike Adenuga) who changed the name to Conoil Plc.
I can understand Ajimobi made his money from a mismanaged and loss-making government enterprise (as Managing Director). As a matter of fact, that company only started making profit after it was privatized. I know this because I wanted to buy the shares after it the government privatized it. |

Codes151: 25 years in oil sector won’t give you 1/2 of 3/4 of that wealth.
Stop talking what you don’t know. Remember, there are people in oil sector as well Don't mind these silly folks. People in the sector know the range of the salaries and bonuses. As if shell is paying 1bn per annum Nonsense |

CrimeKsmart: People are misinformed about Ajimobi's wealth. He had enough before he joined politics. Laslasticala please come and push this to front page again. That a person had a lot is different from whether they were contented with what they had. Besides, you can see even way back 2011 people were contesting the validity of this "assessment". Working for Shell does not make one a BILLIONAIRE. |

Omoluabi16: Of course seyi would not tweet himself, but all these attacks are from his camp. He should rein in his supporters and let the dust settle now. Oyo state government can easily reclaim the land when the time comes rather than this media thing. Ajimobi was a statesman and did his bit. They should respect that. Unless you have evidence of this, it's pure speculation and just shows you as being biased. Meanwhile, you said nothing about the girl who this post is about. Afterall, if she had made no comment, this post wouldn't even exist. So if we are talking about letting the dust settle, the ball is in this family's court. |

MrHandsome2013: Lets be honest here, Most of the jamb high scorers and other exams are the product of private school with better learning facilities using british curriculum. No child is dull. they performed well because they were exposed to better education at early stage in life and most of them are from rich family. Dont criticize students that perform badly. Is simply lack of access to good education. I celebrate them although. There are many people at the top today who come from very humble backgrounds, hawked to pay fees, struggled to make it through school but they still excelled. It's all about determination. There are rich dull kids, there are poor brilliant kids. Intelligence is not a function of wealth, so it's unfair to make such a statement. |

Two drunk people had sex and one is accused of rape? Is the law mad?
The guy too didn't consent to sex that night so she has no case.
Let them keep throwing rape accusations upandan and continue making it difficult for women in need of help to get help.
The doctor has been housing a guy for long but no issues, he housed a girl for 4 months.
Gave her food, access to internet etc and what he gets in the end is being labeled a rapist.
No wonder our men up there have been killing their women, especially those in the medical field.
I always tell men to be careful around anything that has tyre, engine or breasts.
It will definitely give you troubles. There is NO justification for murder. Just imagine smh. |

justlikedat: I wonder o! Nobody forced anybody to read any news here. By the way, naija politicians will always steal our money and amass wealth at the expense of the masses as long as the followings remain the same 1. Our Laws: if you are charged for stealing, once you are bailed, you have 75% chance of winning the case. For things to change, stealing govt money should attract maximum penalty. 2. Mixing politics with religion: Those who are milking us dry attend the same churches with us and pray in the same mosque with us. Even many of them are friends of General overseers, renowned pastors, Alfa, Imams and religious leaders. Most of them steal and donate to the churches and build mosques. Infact, most of them hold one religious titles or the other and our religious leaders prays for them to always succeed in their acts. 3. Our Culture: We have a culture that worships money(directly or indirectly). Once you have money in naija you have become a good person, a role model. People don't bother how you make it, all that matters is many will be praying to be like you and with money in naija you can do and undo. You see musicians singing praises of yahooboys, 419ers, ritualist and people will be dancing and praising such ones even wanting to be like them. 419er, yahooboys, scammers are now being made kings and be voted for to represent our common interest. In naija, money is everything. You've said it all. If these 3 points above can be addressed, we definitely will be in a better space as a country. |

jagabanban: I think it's unfair to think Ajimobi wasn't rich enough to acquire this property. You even said he's not an investor or a businessman. Do you know him personally to say that?
Ajimobi was an MD/CEO of a major oil and gas company in Nigeria at the peak of his career. I'm not talking about this kwe kwe oil companies out there. He was MD of a MAJOR oil and gas company. Google it to confirm.
Since leaving his position as MD, as he being playing around and not managing his wealth? I'm not here to defend him, just to set the records straight.
Our political bias shouldn't becloud our sense of reasoning. This info is out there too. It wasn't manufactured. You can Google it. You people will be talking as if MD/CEOs are paid BILLIONS. They are well paid yes, but stop with the exaggeration. At the end of the day, it's still a salaried position. |
