Why is it only in Nigeria that all these churches are competing for who will have the largest church, well I am not surprised it the way we are. When you go abroad and see the size of their churches you begin to wonder who introduced Christianity to who. Somehow I have wondered whether the sheer size of the church is to show the bigness of the God in that church or it is to give the GO the opportunity to estimate the size of their followers.
Some of these massive church buildings are not even built by well known experts in such huge constructions, most times the GO will be the architect and designer of the drawing design then in a bid to cut cost they will ask for builders within their congregation to volunteer to build for the lord so mediocres And quacks end up building the church.
Govt need to get involved fully for any massive construction site that is expected to house Nigerians. We don't want to be seeing incidents of church building collapse it is not a good thing for the sake of Christianity meanwhile they are all human failures then they turn and blame it as an act of God.
