Lexusgs430:I beg to disagree chief lexusgs430! Rent money is NEVER dead money!!! For the interim period when one has shelter, warmth, security of personal effects etc., these monies have served a good purpose pending when one secures a home via whatever route. These monies should be dignified and that way people are encouraged and not put under pressure. It's pertinent to note that it's not everyone that has the capacity to ignore rent money is dead money. It hits hard and hits a nerve. Now, if you so (always) gleefully call rent money, dead money, then what are you going to call all these monies.... the monies given to olosho, lent to friends (and later cancelled due to inability to payback), monies that go to gamble (baba ijebu etc), drinking, and all the loads of nonsense we do with money?? Please, let's learn to dignify certain things. Just like one saying health care jobs are useless jobs! This is total gibberish!!!! There's dignity in labour. It's in our place to reinforce this and not tarnish legit sources of income for hardworking fellows. |
justwise:Many immigrants believe that when the ladies here smile, flirt and drink with them, all is set for them to dive in! Many make these assumptions out of ignorance, many get away with it and a few get caught up and we hear about it. The other day, somewhere in the North, this guy was caught visiting an underage girl... Actually dressed up and travelled a long distance to hangout with this girl. Same assumption, they say hello, smile, flirt and gbam, they interpret it as 'the girl is into me' You hustle and go through all the stresses to leave Nigeria and then come here and do this!!! Really very shameful and disgusting. I avoid the ladies here like a plague. The juniors I mentor in the office, I keep them at bay, with many boundaries set! Any small thing the team/group will arrange drinks, kilode? |
hustla:Corruption is the biggest problem of Nigeria and Africa at large!!! |
lavida001:My statement was as clear as daylight. It's only a fool that applies for a job without having the minimum requisite experience. Your assertion is strong and could be from personal experience, yea? |
missjekyll:Take away emotion and type realistically. These localized efforts have been crippled by the state of the economy of the country. Again, I say that you are putting the cart before the horse. Driving safely on smooth roads doesn't take away the numerous insecurities that is bedeviling our roads. Smooth roads won't take that away!! Saying Nigerians deserve better is a huge understatement! Now, imagine what impact would be felt if 10%, 20%, 30% corruption is systematically taken away and the huge govt spending is cut down, top echelons in the military and paramilitary prosecuted! The impact can never be compared with tiny localized efforts!!! See eh, this talk is hydra-headed. So many connecting facets. Let's leave it here. |
missjekyll:Nah! Putting the cart before the horse isn't gona take us anywhere. |
hustla:Fight ke! Hmmmm... |
hustla:In whatever way you are able to decipher. |
hustla:Ah, apologies! I was actually meant to say CRIMINALS! Tinubu and his associates are criminals!!! I say it with my full chest. |
missjekyll:It could. The drawback I see may be in the level of bonding of the spray with the quality of materials used on our roads... You know we don't really adhere to standards and specification. Most of our potholes (I would call them tank holes) are 'king-size' and this may restrict use of the spray as the spec may be tied to certain sizes of pothole sizes. You can't find the sort of potholes we have in naija here in the UK and the research done may have been focused on such potholes. Potholes are the least of our problems in Nigeria at the moment. There are more pressing challenges! The criminal in Aso Rock is one of them!!! |
Ukliving:CVlibrary, LinkedIn, Indeed... Not just cybersecurity jobs but all jobs! Adjust CV and cover letter to suit respective application. One needs to be totally committed! I always say this to folks, applying for a job is some sort of full time job. It can be stressful and discouraging, but the moment one have populated his/her CVs out there, the calls and interview schedules will become overwhelming and at some point one would need to deactivate these profiles... All of the above is from experience and not hearsay. All the best. |
Lexusgs430:People share loads of personal information out there. Some don't even know how to fine tune the data they share in the public! Others don't know how sensitive is sensitive enough a data. Majority just join the bandwagon and do as I do... Can you elaborate how easy Putin's job becomes? |
bigtt76:I beg to disagree! Don't attribute the social media thing to only our people (Nigerians). I come across loads of this sort of posts and even more on social media especially LinkedIn from different nationals, not just Nigerians! I don't do it and don't see any big deal about it. It's social media for a reason. I read it, smile and move. Folks also come here to share the news that they have passed their theory test, driving test, gotten this job and that job, arrived the UK etc... That the trend beats you doesn't make it entirely wrong. |
Lexusgs430:...and their sheep careless of how their hard earned quids are utilized. The very dumb question that follows is 'is it your money?' The crop of pastors/men of god/reverends etc etc etc etc etc we have these days is totally nothing to write about. No occupation and yet live a lifestyle of frivolity, affluence and waste. For heaven's sake, a number of Christ's disciples were fishermen! Peter (the rock), Andrew, James and John were fishermen, Matthew was a tax collector, even Christ himself was a carpenter. I rather hand my 10% to some stranger out there that clearly needs it than to some fraud!!! |
Luada:Yea, sure... No one can attempt even by 'airing an opinion'! |
babajeje123:Not ranting mate! Just that what you have been spewing never ceases to amaze me. Imagine saying you careless how the quids you work hard to earn is used. Isn't this a foolhardy way of reasoning? That lady will come and ask if it's my money... To answer in advance, the money isn't mine, but the reasoning is what alarms me. Things like this disgusts me and should disgust any right thinking mind!!! |
babajeje123:This says a lot about you... Really a very poor way of reasoning. |
Progressivegee:Why do you think £50k is a big deal and intimidates those that are yet to settle? So many factors (such as industry, experience, position, etc) drives salaries of this amount and over... Go back and read again, folks here also earn the average you are so certain no one here makes. Someone here quoted £1,600 take home, another corroborated. Personally, I don't see £50k as such a big pay and hope no one here gets indimidated if someone quotes it or some higher figure. No your worth and negotiate accordingly! |
BorisJohnson:Tithe is discussed here and everyone is entitled to their opinion and stand on tithe. It doesn't have to be his money before he speaks. Rubbish is rubbish regardless of how you sugar-coat it. Getting a 50k job in 6weeks of landing ain't a biggie if one plays his/her card well. |
babajeje123:Baba, please speak for yourself, not all Christians hold tithing (enriching the pastor) to high esteem. I have never paid tithe and will never ever do!!! |
yolkman20:I'm not self-employed yet, but this year HMRC refunded £3,000 to me noting that I over paid tax! The best bet at accomplishing major financial breakthrough and comfort is by being self-employed. On the long run, the 9-5 salaried rat race ain't sustainable and keeps putting me off each time I reflect upon it. |
Chreze:Hi Chreze, please what's the preferred means to get across? PM on here? |
Tomyusf141:There was this lady on this platform that noted that she went on to apply with her expired passport, but attached a letter/covering note in her application explaining herself and the status of her passport. You can do same. |
Luada:Don't be desperate to say something and in the process offer what you think could alleviate his situation but in actual sense would be quite unrealistic and ambiguous and will most definitely amplify his current financial standing. A couple of folks have given their take on what the way forward for him should be and they appear quite feasible. He can proceed to explore trading in the future when he has sorted out his financial situation and is comfortable to do so. Never traded and never would. |
Hello guys, please I hear there are crypto/webmoney goons here. I need to make a small payment in either media. Please indicate so we can discuss further. Thanks |
BorisJohnson:The instruction is clear... Cut and mail back to them or pay the sum of £1,000. What would I be doing with an expired BRP There are loads of other documents that will give a better time lapse. No one is denying anyone ILR on this account. The £1,000 fine nullifies the offence. |
Lexusgs430:Which server location? |
Lexusgs430:I hear the only way to get in touch is via a PM. ![]() Just did. |
Mr Lexusgs430, I hear you are the plug for all iptv matter. I also hear it comes with millions of channels. FYI, I'm sure my TV isn't android-based, but I believe this can be bypassed with the use of firestick, yea? Not totally sure. Please what directions/steps should I take to fully setup this iptv parole? Thanks. NB: Not urgent, reply at your convenience. |
