xana101: After driving on taxify and uber, (though I drive my own car) I started thinking how those on rentals cope. I see how difficult d job is now. With uber peanut fare and taxify long awaiting riders request. Most car owners/investors seat some where and expect their driver to deliver 35k to 40k weekly. To me, i feel every one should come down a little. Car owners/investors reduce to 25 to 30k please. And uber should also reduce there 25 percent to 5 percent and taxify should do more publicity. Its not easy. Kudos to all d drivers out there! I am with you my brother. Not as easy as it's said until you get on the road yourself, then you know |

ogunvic41: Saturday is one of my best days to make money, its usually a traffic free day, I do have good gas mileage and always complete my trips on time. Have started 5am. Target for today is 20k to 25k. Fellow uber drivers wake up and put your cars on the road. Have made about 3k this morning... Thanks so much for your chat this morning. It was really insightful and inspiring. I will keep in touch |

goldenval: Exactly because I don't have no idea on how to run the business and this one I tried, didn't work out as the crook even told me he traveled to the village on Tuesday and we arrested him at Eko hotel on Wednesday afternoon. You see had it been I don't have trackers on those cars, I would have loose everything and that's why I don't wanna try again. Lol!! U don't seem to have heart for business ooo. I think you should calm down first and give yourself a breather before making any brash decision. Even if you will sell it on the long run. From what I can see, you most likely won't make the best decision with your current state of mind. Relax first and get over the shock. At least the cars are not running away now. Good luck |

dckng16: This ain't matter of GPS error. Countless times things like this has occurred. Uber fares is Insanely low. If I start bombing this thread with instances like this with screenshot proofs. I don't think you would have any say. What of picking up someone from Magodo to Badary with 3K fuel, There was heavy traffic at Mile 2, festac, Agboju, iyana Oba, Volkswagen, trade fair, Lasu, Ojo, Okokomaiko. The fuel got depleted to reserve on arrival. At end of d trip Uber calculated d trip to 3000 Naira on 4 hours 30 minutes trip. I had to buy 3K fuel to go home without making any single profit. On a normal day yellow cab wld do 5k - 8k on badagry trip. I have been in d game for one month. Uber is not worth it for now. Except u drive your car yourself, but still not profitable enough. Another thing is it could be your.phone. what kind of phone do you use. During Taxify training, we were made to understand that they removed some phone models from thier recommended list because they reportedly had flaws when calculating distance with GPS. Hence, price NB : It could be in your favor and against the riders or vice versa. So you might want to check your phone |

dyemida: I can't go on an Uber trip to Badagry. It's a total waste. Except of course you just want to go on an adventure. For one, you can't get a trip there. It's not under the Uber service area.
I usually admonish drivers not to go on all trips. Trips to Badagry for one would be an off Uber thing. 2 weeks ago, I did an offline trip from Yaba to Badagry and charged N30,000. Though I slept over, dinner and next breakfast was catered for. My accommodation was supposed to be part of the deal but was waived. I slept in the car |

toyclicks: Pls does anyone have a rough estimate of how much to be made from taxify business monthly. ( Both net and gross please).
How do I go through, and expedite the registration process for taxify?
I am not a Lagos resident and may not really know road PO. What do you advise? I am thinking of getting someone as an "assistant driver/pilot" to work with me for a month or so to show me road. But I don't know how riders would feel
Opinions please... Unfortunately, Taxify blocked my account this morning They said cos I had a low rating of 4.0 I am sure its because of this issue of not knowing Lagos road. It caused a few ordeals btw me and my riders this last week. I don't know if I should continue sef. |

entparrot: Demand has dropped drastically, sometimes you wait up to 20-30mins nothing, then wen it comes they will ask u go 7km for pick up, and after pick up the passenger go less than 5km and you are paid 300naira. And you start all over again. Is that on Taxify or Uber? |

I just went home after getting only 2 requests since morning. I stayed at Agidingbi for almost 3hrs. na em I just go house. It was a different scenario last week cos of Lekki flood |

entparrot: For 3hours, 30mins driving inside VI flood, 2k plus. Was all I can get from Uber.
I will advise every car owner in Uber platform, to quickly remove their vehicle from Uber during this rainy season, The effects will destroy ur car.
Riders are forcing Uber drivers to drive inside flooded area, if u get stock, they abandon u. Are you sure this picture was taken from your car? I am guessing it was taken from a ship, yatch or boat |

GAZZUZZ: going by thread title
After experimenting with 2 cars and 3drivers, all I can say is do not waste your hard earned money on RENTAL Basis.
Drivers will use and dump your vehicle. They will owe and not pay.
They will damage your vehicle and hop on to the next train.
I will tell my story on a different thread soon. I agree with you. Mehn!!! Thank God I learnt my lessons earlier in little things. The same phone u av been using for 3 years and you maintained it well that it's in perfect shape, give it to someone and they break the screen or even misplace it in a week. Dash them your laptop and in weeks it will start developing faults you never imagined. I was almost tempted give out my car on rental but after I tot of my experiences with handing things over to people, I changed my mind |

xana101: Please I get more cash trip on taxify. Now I'm owning taxify almost 10k. How would they take there Money as most of d riders on taxify do cash. Unlike uber more card trips. Hope I won't end up owning up to 100k one day. Our sincere apologies for delayed response. Kindly be patient till you receive an email containing an invoice and a payment link, indicating the amount to remit back to Taxify. We do not have a Nigerian bank account yet for you to make payment into. |

I mailed them and after several days, they responded telling me that they are sorry, Nigeria branch doesn't yet have the account I can pay to, that when it is ready I will get it for use. In the main time, they will only stick to deducting it from my card payments |

Thank u When you end the trip and it shows the T fair, you will see "extra fees" click on it and a list of tolls will appear. Check the box (es) of the one(s) you passed. Then click on final fee |
