kingreign:Lol! Your point of view is very subjective |
kingreign:Mr. bros, if you follow intelligently, you will see that the point of argument is not luxury. We are talking about engine strength and reliability here. I can decide to upgrade a Volkswagen beetle with all the luxury I want. Better still, meet the manufacturers, they can easily give you a customized edition to your taste as long as you can pay. I believe a lot of automobile manufacturers have had to compromise rugged, die hard, yet easy-to-maintain Engine models for luxury and eye-catching models ( all dictated by consumer taste which is tending more towards luxury) |
kingreign:Blatantly false. 504 for instance, had it's flaws during its reign(door handle and all that). But when it came to durability, reliability, engine strength, that car na baba. In fact sometimes I feel Peugeot should bring back 504,505,404 in a modern, more refined, packaged way. Just like Nokia recently did with 3310 recently They should just call them the vintage series or something |
ogunvic41:Congrats!! Manual or automatic |
iamspeedracer:How do you mean?? I don't understand. I thought those were the best options CC; GAZZUZZ |
iamspeedracer:Simply go for Mobil or Total oil na. Which one be synthetic oil wey you dey find again |

slamstanlee:what time did you end your day yesterday? Your last trip could spill over |
Romeo3:Romeo, I like your sincerity of advise. @cooleo Driving is not for everyone. However, if you lost your job and you HAVE TO resort to driving, its a very cool alternative for the time being. Also, if you are looking for a way to quickly raise some capital or something, this business is a cool one for that. There are a lot of challenges you wouldn't know of until you get on the road(just like it is in every other business). More so, what happens if you quit ur job now, and Uber/taxify are not available to you again(close down for whatever reason or introduce some laws that doesn't make you eligible or some other thing). you would have lost both ways Unless you are not enjoying your job presently and you are looking for a way out, you could create a big picture of your dream business and use taxify/Uber to raise funds for it. AND GO AFTER YOUR DREAMS Whichever way, it is advisable to venture into it part time while you are still on your job and see if it is something you can join for a longer haul. For me, I took to this taxify biz after loosing a job. Believe me, the experience was GOLDEN. I can't quantify everything I learnt in less than 3 months, places i got to, that i wouldn't go on a normal day. People I met, good , bad and ugly ![]() I am a lover of adventure and my experience with taxify was an awesome one. Through the experience, I have built more confidence in myself because I have re-affirmed that i can make money whether on a job or not, so I will never consider myself at the mercy of an employer. I loved the autonomy it gave me. I was my own boss, decided when I wanted to make money. I am out of Taxify business cos I got a job that gives me time to develop and focus more on my dreams. Asides, all these, if driving is your passion or hobby like ogunvich , then you've got the right business. However, whichever scenario seems to be ur case, whether you want the Uber/Taxify biz as a full time, part time or a means to an end. I can promise you that this thread will help you maximize the journey. Just stay here and keep learning. Good luck |

Mehn I was at taxify office today to resolve an attitude issue. Then I met a guy who made a whooping N176k in a single week. I didn't believe until he showed me. The least he ever did a week was 96k and he claimed it was cos of offline trips I was seriously motivated |
blackylola:Thanks. I was by a church yesternight at Festac. They were having a night vigil. The security man accosted me and I explained that I was a taxi driver. Immediately he heard that, he started billing me. N500. I just shook my head. For this Lagos, everyone will take advantage of you in the slightest opportunity |
I carried a rider yesterday. He was going to the mechanic to fix his car. The tyre burst in the night and had to drive it like that till he got to a safe place. This got me thinking. .Pls house, which particular places are unsafe esp at Night in Lagos oooo. Security wise. As I am still new to Lagos |
