Really? I came with truckloads of ponmo and dried fish. The bag that contained them was delayed. Reason wasn't stated but I guessed the aircraft was overloaded. We filled form and my bag was delivered to my residence 2 days later Hope you weren't fined? MsAnne20: Tips for carrying FISH to the UK
1. Ensure it is dry 2. Remove all dirt and head 3. Tear it into pieces 4. Put in a ziplock and label with paper tape. 5. Wrap with newspaper.....lol

For those planning what to load for travel. I'll advice you add these
Lonart tablet for malaria.(JIC you incubate malaria before coming)
Flagyl tablet (JIC your system reacts to the food even on the plane)
Piriton tablet
Ciprotab
Bitter cola
Tomotom
Its best to buy any medication you usually use there in Nigeria and can get from pharmacies there. Because here you'll have to get prescription from a doc to get certain drugs. So for example if you're asmathic and need your inhaler or ventolin tablet get some before coming. If you use antibiotics for chest infections, get some also. Piriton is for allergies.
The only drugs you'll be able to get off the counter here is basic pain relievers, and drugs for cold and catarrh etc
All the best |

Good good. Uwc Preshnificient: 3k, and yes, it was through him. Although, I most likely would have been able to still get it today without the facilitation payment coz the amount of applicants there today were very negligible.
Glory to God for speed still. Thanks. |

Their office is adjacent the Intl airport toll gate...just ask when you get there. I was there a few weeks back and it was on the day they started a 2 weeks warning strike. the normal fee is N2k but we were told to come behind and get it. We paid almost N4k extra but we got it same day as against normal procedure of next day. the contact's number there is Nonso : 07039092599 Good luck Preshnificient: Good evening house. Please this is a bit urgent. Has anyone done the yellow card at the MM2 office recently? My airline said it's compulsory and I have only tomorrow to obtain the card.
I just want information on anything that can make it faster. Do I need to get there very early? Are they other places I can do it? Someone please help |

No mail, no phone interview VAC...... Ikeja
It has been a long journey! With 2 visa refusals from US and Canada for me, 4 visa refusals for my hubby (2 from US alone this year)...it was a journey full of faith, prayers and determination. So many errors along the way, issues with my hubby's passport made us do a new passport within a week. It was a mental hurdle for us all but thank GOD it finally ended in PRAISE!!
Thanks to everyone here@mimilyrics, justwise, and so many others who I picked your brain on how to make this possible..you guys are 10 zillion much. With this, I draw the curtain on my constant commentary here as school work has started in earnest and I need to switch focus from applicant to student mode (LOL).
I pray for all those who are waiting, about applying or have applied..the same God that made ours a success in spite of everything, will do the same for you. Stay strong guys..the race is not to the swift nor to the strong but to him whom God shows mercy. I will miss you all but I gotta move on now..
Adieus Amigos! Au revoir mes amis! |

Please be advised that a decision was made on your visa application today. Your documents and visa decision will now be returned by commercial courier to the visa application centre where you applied (unless you paid for the courier fee in which case it will be returned directly to you). This can take a few days and be subject to unforeseen delays so please wait for the visa application centre to advise you when your documents and decision are ready for collection.

Well........! 1)hope you stated in your application that you have a family there(London) or at least that reality is coherent with what you filled in the form. Even at that, you must have a valid back up explanation why you are going to London 2) If its just cos of the expenses you are considering, I think its better to bear the expenses of going via the nearest airport to your destination. In my own case, my terminus was at my destination(Manchester) I had a connecting flight from LON to MAN. from Manchester airport, we still had to take a train to the city before taking private vehicle home. My Luggage which was a plastic box was all broken and scattered by the time I received it at the airport. It wasn't a joke moving it with all the wheels lost and the bag itself broken. You can imagine if I wasn't going straight to destination with that ordeal. Twas still crazy even though I had someone to come and pick me. On the other hand, if your family's place its not a long journey from the airport it could be a better option for you as you might be able to catch your breath from the trip for the 14 days of quarantine and then rearrange for your journey to final destination Just my opinion and all the best phadexzhi01: Hello Everyone, please I need your help. I’m to resume at University if Wolverhampton this month, I have already gotten my tier 4 visa . The closest airport to Wolverhampton is at Birmingham (which is expensive). I want to know if I can fly to london instead and observe the 14 day quarantine with my family there. I don’t want any issues with immigration. Any insights please? |

The 31 day rule is very key and not being joked about If you've not done biometrics and used assisted service, I think you can still upload updated bank statement. If you used self service, I think you can upload on the day of your biometrics by paying assisted service fee. If you've done biometrics, you might need the write UKVI with the updated bank statement. In this case, you will be hoping they get the mail on time and attend to it esp this period when they are swamped with workload. Other option will be to withdraw application and start again Gurus should put + or - where my suggestions are inadequate. All the best Elizabeth28: Guys please if you submit a bank statement older than 31 days, lets say 48 days or thereabout, would it negatively affect the application. I did not know about the bank statement being 31 days old as at the time of submission
I am very worried, someone should help me please with answer. |

Its better to quarantine somewhere close to your school and remember we are meant to disclose (by filling the online form) our location within 48 hours before arrival. |
